Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst
OK guys, so Temps are up to 28°C in the shadow which are low 80s in Fahrenheit and RH is around 40%, good two days of sun
I went to check on Ultra Dogs and Grape Dogs outdoor today and most of them they're all right. Only one UD has been chewed by snails, caterpillars or other shit, I put a wedlock around it so it can grow back, it happened before, so nothing to worry about. I also started digging a bit to make space for more plants there, I think I'm gonna put one Colombian and one Mexican there just in case
And here they are by the way:
Mexican
Colombian
I'm really looking forward to catching at least one female of each as this could be another nice bud for my sativa collection
And when talking about sativas I have to say I got a really sativa-dominant or more like skunky pheno of Grape Ape. She's just had Brix measures and it's 12, so maybe I'll break 14 after all and will go even higher in a week or two
It took a bit until all the LSTed branches caught up with flowering, but now it's really happening. Pistils are long and curvy, and I can see trichs on them with a naked eye
I also pruned her a little bit today, and I do it only with my bonsai plants when it's getting really crowded and leaves start covering the budsites. I never defoliate heavily.
Here are the pics:
Grape Dog is definitely a kushy/indica kind of pheno with very fair green leaves, and bulky budsites, which thicken a little bit more every day. Not much branching here, but first calyxes have nice purple hue, also petioles are still reddish, so this is definitely something genetics related. Old fan leaves started greening this night, so she's sucking the nitrogen now pretty heavily to build buds and grow more foliage. This stocky silhouette and mixture of green/red reminds me of some old school 90's genetics, maybe Master Kush or something like that, but it's not really something that Afghan would look like, so I'm pretty intrigued. Might be good bud when it's done

And here's O.G. Kush with her well-known shape and dark, waxy leaves. She's been forced for few days now, and is gonna flower pretty soon. I fimmed her and here's the effect, more secondary growth, and more budsites at the main stem. Also LST helps to keep this strain low as it's normally very stretchy with practically no branching.
Here she is:
And last but not least a young Aurora Ultra in its viney glory. Yeah, looks much like a sativa and it also finishes around middle October normally, although it gives very strong and long-lasting indica punch.
Here we have it:
Ok, that's it folks. I hope you've enjoyed the showcase
