Sticky's Almost Perpetual Grow

I'm too lazy to go back and look, but I believe I suggested 1 gram of Epsom per gallon to add more sulfur on this thread. If yes, I forgot to also mention that bud sweeteners are even better for soil due to their added sugars to feed soil microbes. I used to use GH Fruit-N-Fusion with good results on OG Kush, but I remember reading that on the bottle that it had cane sugar and molasses for the microbes which my grow media completely lacks. I know Terpenator also has a lot of sugars contained and now it dawns on me why my buddy that moved to Colorado has been trying to convince me to use Terps as he had such great results with it. But usually in those bud sweeteners, they use several different sources of sulfur, each is to enhance different odors and flavors that a plant can express. My studies suggest that Potassium Sulfate will enhance the lemony citrus whereas Magnesium Sulfate will enhance the fruitiness. Because I also use a nute calculator, I've been trying to trick it to incorporate the PotSulf, but it just doesn't, and it pretty much has me locked into MagSulf (Epsom). It would be nice though to try other sulfates to see what other scents and tastes I can coax from these plants.

I'm gonna check the trichs on the TWA tonight. I gave her another 1/2 gallon of water with 1-1/2 tsp Terp, 1/8 Floralish, & 1/8 Flora Nectar. Gonna have to smoke her quick, she gonna turn amber!

Thank sounds like tasty combo. Now tell me that Terpenator don't smell good enough in the jug to drink? I had to keep reminding myself it's plant food and not me food.

All that crusty that builds up around the cap is nasty, but like you said, "It's plant food..." You think it's good for every feeding like it says on the bottle? I use it now and again, but been using the Floralicious more throughout the grow.

I can't really say for sure. I know the sulfur is what the plant uses, but I won't even try to guess the rate of uptake for each nutrient. I'm happy to be close to how much to put on the plate each week, but have no way of knowing exactly how much I'm wasting at the end.

hey sky did you guys get it figured out lol hey I grow all organic so I don't use any of those nutrients I do use a bud finisher its put out by peruvian gold its like 1-1-3 or something like that its organic made from composted llama poop you use it the last 4 weeks of the last 5 weeks of flower and I make a lot of ewc tea with various other ingredients like sugars I use all organic brown sugar-table sugar-molasses -sorghum I switch around I still need to dial in the amount of nitrogen I add into my soil my plants seem to be running low a little earlier than I like im getting premature fade after flip then im playing catch up btw I have been doing a little foliar of the Epsom water im going easy at first I think I killed one of my plants giving to much Epsom I burnt the crap out of it so im being careful!

You know I bought that great big bag of Epsom Salt. I never did use it in the mix. Plants look good to me so I'm keeping with less is more.

No not the leaves, damn it dude...
it can come in handy on occasion as long as you don't do something stupid like I did about a mo. ago the#5 was showing some mag def so I mixed up some Epsom water a little hot and in all my watering around I may have given it to it twice I burnt the crap out of it and its not growing at all no new growth in a mo. so I probably lost that one the foliar im doing now is with a gram of Epsom to a gal of r/o water a gram is about a shy 1/8 tsp. not much at all and then im giving them a very light mist underneath I think its helping them I see no ill effects im going very slow you no once in a while I like to experiment with natural additives btw I wouldn't think you normally need the extra mag when your using all those nutes they have that in there!

hell its raining and cold outside so I went up to thr gr and drug out a couple ts to get a few more pics this is what I like to do when I cant go outside and do things!:)

stay high!!!:smokin2:

Two scoops of sugar!!!! Looking hella frosty! First time growing her??
:ganjamon:
thanks jgrow yep first time they are frosting up nice there starting to get some nice sweet smells to them each one has its own smell I will try to zero in on that as they get closer to harvest these are supposed to be some vert tasty weed one can hope!:)

I'm not sure what you're asking about figuring it out, but what I was saying is that the sweetener products would be more beneficial to you organic growers even though it's a hydro supplement because of the added sugars. I too make ACTs about twice a week, 1 gallon of RO, 3ml of unsulfured molasses dissolved in the RO, 1/2 cup of Ancient Forest (for the humus), and a bit more than a 1/16TSP of Great White. I no longer use the sweeteners or any store bought nutes because I now make all my own from salts so that I can experiment with tweaking all of the macros and secondaries. Sadly, there was very little of this info on 420, so I had to join RIU, where I met some old heads that gave me a lot of great feedback. I then condensed that info as best I could and put it all in my "How to make Nutes" thread/tutorial. I no longer burn my plants as I did when using GH 3part at 70% strength. Nute makers tailor their blends to all crops, but I want nutes that are specific for Canna. I also learned how to dial everything in to the preferred strength and ratios so not to over drive anything and just offer what I know they'll take, nothing more. That said, I believe that My hydro produces near organic results. I'm still learning and adjusting things, but more or less, I'm very confident in my feeds.

Here are my most current feed charts that I've made and use. My previous charts, I was dumping N out of bloom too early and was seeing N def in mid bloom like you're seeing. I now keep N up for a bit longer. I also learned it's best to raise P from the end of stretch till about week 6-7, then lower P and N at the same time while raising K and S till finish. I also had to raise my Ca levels to prevent Ca def from taking hold. My leaves for the most part hold stable green throughout.

For Organics, the little I know wouldn't be very useful to you as my nutes are available immediately whereas your nutes aren't, and your microbes need to process them and dole them out slowly over a period of time. You might be able to use my numbers to help you build your soils, but the time releasing nature IMO would change everything. If you're into researching, there's a guy on OverGrow (yeah, OG is back online again) named Lotus who is a phenomenal organic grower. If memory serves me, he's a college educated botanist.

you no I think my son might need to talk to you also he grows hydro anh gets beautiful plants that get huge and its nice weed but it doesn't have that organic soil grown taste he always says mine tastes better he has grown several of my clones so its a good test but hes like you always trying something new my tea is usually 3 gals r/o water 2 cups ewc 2 tbls. of radiant green and some kind of sugar then bubble that overnight then adjust ph fill a 1 gal jug and add 1/8 tsp. rock dust if they need something more ill add that in plus rite after stretch ill do a top dressing of blood meal seabird guano just p a little langbenite and some mychos hen about a week or two later ill do a cat drench to give them a calcium boost to get them through flower even though we don't grow the same im sure I can learn a thing or two from you thanks man!:)
