Sticky's Almost Perpetual Grow

Your tea has a LOT more love than mine, that's for sure. Mine is just to keep my roots clean though. I forget whose journal, but someone is using a line called Plagron and holy shit, the most perfectly green stable looking plant I ever saw. I tried to research the brand and find they're like AN, and hide their recipe, MF's! Does your son cash crop too? I think that's the defining reason why anyone chooses to grow in hydro. Organic is definitely better, but hydro produces faster results.

I pretty much use roots 707 organic soil and I mineralize it in the beginning I was adding things like guanos alfalfa meal crab meal and it was to hot for a lot of plants so I backed off but I can see I still need a little help so my next batch of I mix up will have just a smidge of extra kick ive not heard of that line my son grows for himself and his wife there consumers lol he does have a fair amount on hand he likes the easy of hydro he says its easy he does the scrog he likes it that scrog set up seems perfect for hydro you don't need to get under there like you would with soil hes does well with his yields hes a happy camper lol!

I bet mixing soils to get the right amount of everything is equally complicated as mixing hydro to elemental ppm. That dude on OG I told you about (Lotus) does all that stuff, and he even produces his own mycos with rice and one other thing I think. When his mix gets going, it makes webs on the top of his media. He also grows other plants in the same pot that help to break down nutes while deterring insects or other liabilities. It's wild what he does and the results he gets without ever having to visit a grow shop. I feel like I should really apply myself to learn that stuff as I feel if the shit ever hits the fan, all we'll have is our current knowledge, and in a grid down situation, there won't be any internet or long distance comms.

Hmmm. The turn-off for me and going all natural like that is that is seems so hard to do indoors. I can chuck egg shells and compost into by yard and grow a bumper crop every summer. Then in the winter indoors, I switch to dry amendments and some nutes when I see deficiencies. But to make a living soil really work indoors is an artform that I am not ready to try. The trial and error must last for years.

that guy sounds interesting it is a learning process for sure ive been working on it for 3 years not very long compared to some of these guys that havr been doing it for 30 yrs. I keep my mixed soil in plastic containers for a mo or two when I open them up there all hairy white on top!
