Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Thank you brother! I just try to stay out of their way and let them do their thang! How's the babies over in your grow room? Slow time I know, but that will change soon enough brother!

Thanks Penny! Yeah its not bad for a lanky girl, but I like my ladies a bit more stout! Hows the new job?

Thanks Otter! Hows your big girl doing?
She's starting to plump up some. Coming up on 49 days. I put 4 DDA's in this morning under the new Mars light. Haven't grown them before but you hear everyone talk about them like the holy grail. Let's see.

Jack Herer #1 (Fem) - Seedsman - Veg Day 42

Both of the Jacks are doing well. Went ahead and did water dunks on all the plants today, just plain water. All the plants went 6 days between their dunks. I expect that to drop as they fill the pots with roots. The Jacks look like they are wanting more light. Bet they explode when I get them down into the tent under the Spydrx.

Jack Herer #2 (Fem) - Seedsman - Veg Day 42

Panama Haze (Fem) - ACE Seeds - Veg Day 28

We topped the Panama yesterday (and at it...always eat the tops...kinda like a gaze into the future terps I might get). She's a lanky thing for sure. Curious to see how she responds to the topping having been in that pot since seed. The plan is 2 more weeks in this pot and the up pot and flip her.

Afghani #1 (Fem) - Sensi Seeds - Veg Day 28

She got topped and dunked as well. Not much to say about her right now.

Slurricane (Fem) - In House Genetics - Veg Day 42

Ok, this one is getting interesting to me. As you all remember, she topped herself (or split her stem on her own) a while back. Well three additional shoots came out around that same area and one of those three actually did the self topping on herself again. Seems kind of odd to have a plant do that multiple times. :hmmmm:

Kinda digging the self topping to be honest. She's making a whole lot of tops without me having to do anything. I got a picture or two of that 5 shoot area as well as the second self topping. All in all, aside from some wind damage from being right in front of the fan, she's doing great.

Works not bad just long ass shifts.

Yeah I don't miss the long days or long weeks. Hope it slows down for you brother!

I'm back on track now. I gave up on the seedlings that got roasted. I've started fresh. Healthy babies are moving much faster.
Looks like I'll be running a dozen photos & 2 autos.
:thumb:

Very nice! Gonna be a tight fit up in there!

Those two Jack Herer plants are looking really strong. A question about the Panama Haze. You say you'll keep her in that pot for two more weeks, up-pot her, and then flip her. How long after the up-potting will you put her into flowering? I'm in the habit of waiting about 10 days to 2 weeks before flipping a newly up-potted plant into flowering to give it a chance to send out a bunch of new roots into the new soil. This has also bit me in the butt a few times with a plant taking off a getting too big in those two weeks. Eager to hear your thoughts.

I am going to flip her in the new pot right away. Having never grown a Sativa like this one before, I want to be careful with her size. I can't have her eating up most of the room in the tent if she's a really tall gangly girl.

Equatorial Sativas don't play by the same set of rules that most other cannabis strains do. Their roots will continue to grow throughout most of flower. I fear if I did my traditional up pot and give them 10 days to get comfy, she would be a bit more out of control than I want. If I was growing in the 10x10, I wouldn't be afraid of the size. But growing her out in a 5x5 with 6 other plants, that just won't work.

My two Sativa went nuts, the Purple Haze x Malowi and Golden Tiger

So smart move Van

Very nice pictures stank..
Trying to study what leaves your clipping off to keep her open and breathing . God I need to get my ass over here more often.

Outstanding as always sir.:passitleft:

Hey Kj, good to see ya sir! Hope things have been well up in your world brother!

Thank you for the kind words. I just pluck off the smaller internal fan leaves so there is better light penetration and air flow. Cheers KJ! :passitleft:

Black Widow Clone - Mr Nice Seeds - Veg Day 38

The tank got topped a few days ago. Hopefully that will help stimulate the side branching I am looking for before we up pot and flip this girl. I hope to have her into the 5 gallon pot by 30th if I can get basement ready to grow in by then. She will likely get a week in the new pot before flipping. Right now my target date for flipping is October 8th, along with a few other plants. Nothing is set in stone but thats the rough laid plan.

KA5 Haze Clone - ACE Seeds - Veg Day 38

The Killer is rolling along nicely. She doesn't drink as much as the other two clones that are the same age but she looks really happy and healthy. I expect she will explode when she gets into a bigger pot. I haven't pinned down exactly what my plan for her is quite yet. I am leaning towards vegging her a couple weeks longer than the Black Widow and Sour Cherries before I flip her. She's got a little longer flower time and reportedly doesn't stretch crazy so I want her a bit on the larger size before flipping. Stay tuned for what we decide with her. Love the nice new green growth on her!

Sour Cherries Clone - Crockett Family Farms - Veg Day 38

Still crushing on this sweetheart. She is an aggressive grower with fantastic side branching. I haven't topped her yet, but will need to do it soon if I plan on doing it (still not decided). She will be up potted and flipped at the same time as the Black Widow, whenever that ends up being. Looking forward to seeing her flower out. Not much cherry scent to her according to @neikodog, instead she is all Chem in her smells. Was hoping to get some cherry but I love me some dank Chem too!

Veg Tent Bonus Shot

You can see why I am in a rush to hurry and finish cleaning the basement. Have made a lot of progress but I can tell you that there is far more to this cleanup than I initially anticipated. This process is including removing everything from cardboard boxes, cleaning any potential mold off it, washing any clothing, and transferring the stuff into plastic storage bins. I have boxes and boxes of CDs, DVDs, books, and collectables that require a lot of time to clean. I can promise you its the last time we ever deal with having to do this shit!

They are looking great and are all screaming to me for additional room!

Oh and I forgot, we tried sexing the Skunks. #2 the bushier one is a confirmed lady, while #1 isn't showing any preflowers yet. Hopefully that one is a girl as well.....if it is a girl as well, I will grow both skunks together in the same 8 or 10 gallon pot (probably 10).

And how many plants are you going to fit in the 5x5? All of them?
Nope.....I will be running (most likely) these in the 5x5:

Jack Herer x 2 in one 10 gallon pot
Black Widow in 5 gallon pot
Sour Cherries in 5 or 7 gallon (5 most likely)
Panama Haze in 5 gallon
Skunk (or Skunk x 2 if both female) in 10 gallon
Hindu Kush in 5 gallon
Stank Surprise x3 (or less if more turn to be males) in 10 gallon

Other stuff will be run in the 4x4

Pot sizes may shift or which is in what tent may change as well....but thats the plan, chiseled into mud for lasting effect!

I tried the Sour Cherries last night after 2.5 days on the drying rack. I think you're going to love this one. When you grind it up the smell about makes my eyes start watering. The wife says it tastes like gas. 2 bong rips kept me going for about 2.5 hours. There was no sleepiness with it, I enjoyed it a lot and hope it holds this high when it's fully dry and jarred.

Thats good news.....I am digging her so far......definitely one of my favorites in the tent right now. I am very much looking forward to smoking her!

So I was browsing Strainly today and found something interesting. All of you know how much I love ATF as my base strain for pain management and I have enjoyed using it in breeding. I found a pack of 74' MTF (Matanuska ThunderFuck) aka ATF. Its listed with the flowering time of 11-13 weeks so I know its the Sativa version of it. Very reasonably priced....and I am looking at working the ATF some more to see how I can improve it. I figure this can be fun, especially if they are the real deal ATF/MTF. Seems most all the other stuff running around out there is worked with Afghani to bring down the flowering times. I am looking for additional sativa versions so hopefully this one will be what I am looking for.
