Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

I can have 12 in veg, and only 4 in flower. There’s other stupid limitations going into effect soon, but not sure what that will look like. They are now taxing providers heavily here for medical which naturally drives the cost up at dispensaries. So far, they haven’t mentioned taxing if you grow for yourself.

The regulations are weird and if you have a card to grow your own meds then you cannot visit just any dispensary to purchase weed. If you have a card to purchase from a dispensary then you are tied to that dispensary and can only purchase your meds from them. You can change dispensary, but you first must have their signature and the signature of the dispensary you want to move to and then pay a fee to have a new card printed specifically for that dispensary. You can’t just visit any dispensary and purchase your meds even though you have a medical card.

My card says “Self Provider” which is the way I like it.

I stopped looking into anything from dispensaries when they mentioned to get a medical card you would lose your conceal carry permit. That dog ain't gonna hunt!! I will grow my own and keep my guns.

See this is why moving to Maine and benefiting from Maine's cannabis laws would be perfect. They have what I consider the most grower friendly laws in the country from both recreational and medicinal. You can run 6 plants in flower per person, 6 mature plants (classified as plants over 18") and unlimited seedling/immature plants. So we could have 12 in flower, 12 in veg and as many freaking clones and seedlings as my heard desires! On top of that, you can grow for friends/family as well. You just have to put a tag on the plant with the persons information.

This is how cannabis should be treated in this country. Not these unreasonable limits most states have on you. I was hoping New Hampshire would lean more towards Maine's model, but they look like they are going to be more restrictive than our current state.

I have watched Maine's laws and while the law as voted in was ok, the state seems to be trying to ruin it. I was talking to someone that mentioned that before rec passed you could get caught with up to 99 plants, any stage, and it was a misdemeanor. 5 or under without a license was a civil offense. After rec passed any more than 6 flowering plants per person and you are risking felony charges. The state wants to put a cap of 12 plants on any property. As it stands now you can do as you said and have friends and family grow on your property or even charge people to grow on your land if you want. The state will still allow you to do this so long as your plant total is no more than 12. I have not heard if that is veg and flower or flower only. I believe this initiative failed but the state does not want to allow rec sales and even though cannabis clubs and such were mentioned in the bill that passed the state does not want o allow it. So while the bill the voters passed is not horrible, the state is doing all they can to make it super restrictive. They have lost the state a ton of tax revenue by not allowing rec sales, and they are trying to say that because people are uncomfortable with certain things they should not happen, EVEN though a greater percentage of people voted it in and wanted it to happen. how does that make any sense?

If I were you I would wait a bit before you pack up and move. I have even heard they are considering abolishing their med program and that they have changed things so that if you are a med card holder and grow your own you stand to have surprise random "inspections", read unlawful searches of your dwelling.

Fortunately they haven't gone that far here yet, but I wouldn't doubt it's on the books.

It's a toss up right? Do you prefer someone downing three shots with beer chasers wearing their new Sig Sauer P365 (everyone needs one) or someone just finishing up a bowl? I know which one I would prefer. The world is changing it's thought process towards cannabis. In a good way I'm happy to add. Hopefully at some point soon it will snowball in a good way nationwide.

It’s been a toss up all my adult life. Just sayin. :tokin:

I agree it’s changing, and has changed significantly in the last decade alone. I’d give it another 20 years... Doh! By that time I won’t need a ccw. I’ll just sit in my rocker with a shotty. :slide:

Yeah I wouldn’t mind smokin a bowl either lol

I will say only this........there is one common denominator for every blatantly stupid, moronic thing I have done in my life and none of them ever involved cannabis. Yet cannabis gets the bad rap until the government can figure the best way to do two things with it......profit to the maximum possible limit and figure out how to exact the maximum amount of 'control' over it. It always amazes me with the bullshit that our government will attempt to tax people over.

Oh and give me bowl as well......as the son to a life long alcoholic mother, I can say I want very little part of that!

A fkn men to that bro, my state makes it really fkn hard to even get a ccw permit and even pistol license.

It took me a year to get mine.......as a retired Marine with no dealings what so ever with Johnny Law and only one speeding ticket in 30 years of driving.

You are right Gramps, it has changed a lot and hopefully it will continue to change across the globe. Its hard to hide the truth anymore with all the avenues available to spread the truth that didn't exist 20-30 years ago. Social media, Facebook, YouTube, Insta-Gram, and all the other forms allow us to spread the truth about cannabis and the government can't control that the way it controlled the news, and research and everything else they have for 60+ years.

It's promising when a state legalizes recreational marijuana without bothering to put it on a ballot. Hopefully more states will follow VT's lead and give the Feds the finger!

Yeah i was pretty impressed to see Vermont do that!! I would love to see more states follow suit. As a huge supporter of States rights over Federal control, I will always side with states choices when it doesn't step on constitutional rights.

Couldn’t agree more. I joke around a lot, but mostly because I’m giddy as a school girl just being in a forum like this. I never would’ve dreamed, when we were kids, that I could join a forum dedicated to the advancement of weed...blows my little mind. :tokin:

LOL pretty freaking cool huh brother!!

Yes we were kept in the dark concerning cannabis for decades, now the cats out of the bag and getting very interesting.

Yep, the 'powers' that be are trying to figure out how to best exploit, and how to best profit and better their lots in life from the shift in the country's opinion of cannabis.

We just need to be ready to capitalize on this ourselves

Yes indeed! And Stank Genetics will hopefully be one of them LOL! Just think.....we don't have a clue just how big of a market the cannabis industry is going to become. Put your thinking caps on folks, get creative and see if you can't come up with your golden ticket!
