Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Tent Updates

So just wanted to give a quick view of the tents and whats in where now. Things are going to now be running more close to how we intended the grow to go.

Veg Tent.....will generally have 4 plants in it....on rare occasions it might have 5 in it. Blue Dream is on the left, the male Stank is on the right, and the Northern Lights is in the middle.

In regards to the male Stank, I will be taking a clone from him in the next week and will hold the big male until the clone is rooted. From there I will flower the male clone for a breeding project.

Flower Tent.....will generally have 4-5 plants in it....on rare occasions it might have 6 for a couple days if necessary but I want it to generally have 4-5. Back left is the Jack Herer Auto, back right is Nuke #1, middle is Stankberry #1, front left is Nuke #2, and front right is Harlequin #2.

Wait, your JH is in the flower tent? Maybe everyone should have been running theirs at 12/12 (MadDab is 12/12 I think unless he moved it into veg by now)!
We just flipped the tent the Jack was in to 12/12 last night so today is her first 12/12 day.

Everything looks just dandy... and it was a calcium deficiency. Quite common indoor actually, but it popped in my sativas too last season... the same spots and they were quite tall.

Nice male BTW. Mix the pollen with rice and freeze it vacuum sealed if you want to use it later. I still have mine stashed, but have no idea if it's still viable.

Oh gotcha! Never mind :).
We might move her back down to the veg tent in another 2-3 weeks when I have to flip the Blue Dream. But I have to get the filter and fan working correctly again before I bring the Jack downstairs. I can't have a the flowering odor downstairs and I know that it will be a strong smell then.

I have a feeling its an issue with the fan.....just hope when I tear it apart tonight I can figure out whats wrong with it and fix it. I don't want to buy another fan for that area.

Hey Conradino, good to see ya swing through again brother. Yeah I had a feeling it was calcium and probably brought on easier by the new light. I am going to re-amend my unused soil with some more goodies so I won't have any more issues going forward.

I believe the pollen is at it's most perfect the day the sack opens and lets the pollen fly. Meaning it's at it's most dry when dropped and has to be put into a container with rice to keep it dry for use.

DO you leave your pollen out to dry for any amount of time before you store it?
No, once I harvest it onto the mirror, I start scraping it into a pile while Ms Stank gets the vial. From there its a two person operation to get it in the vial. From there, it gets cut with flour and mixed together really well. Then the rice is added, vial is labeled and put into the zip lock bag and closed up and placed in the jar (with rice in the jar) and directly put into the freezer.

The whole process takes about 15 minutes and its in the freezer......maybe 10 minutes if its a low production harvest.

This is correct....it has the texture of talc powder when its popped on its own. You can't get it any drier than how it is when it exits the pod. If you leave it out...it becomes damp due to the ambient room's RH and begins to clump. I am sure that with that dampness comes it no longer being viable for reproduction. So moral of the story, act fast.

Honestly, if I had my way.....I would never harvest pollen for use. I would seed clones naturally in a small tent for max seeds and never worry about collecting or storing pollen again.

White Widow Seedling Day 5

Haven't posted pics of her since she popped at the beginning of the week so we are due. She looks good, nice and healthy and moving along as she should. Gave her a small dose of half strength ACT today, her first one. I also moved her out of the dome today and she is now in the 2x4 under the LED (off to the side....same timeline as the Northern Lights....so we will see if this is an acceptable timeline for all my seedlings) with the other girls in the veg tent.

Northern Lights Veg Day 21

This girl is chugging along nicely. She got about 32 oz of ACT last night when she got moved to the downstairs tent. I put her in my 'C' clips to start spreading her out. She is a really healthy, strong girl.

I know that she is in soil that I re-amended with additional minerals (Glacial Rock Dust and Basalt Dust) and Gypsum (for calcium) and a bit more Neem and Karanja cake, so I don't want to use any Cal Mag in her feedings so I can determine if the amounts I used are enough to break through the deficiencies I am seeing pop up. I will be watching her closely for the first signs and keeping track of the date (how many more days did the amended amount get me in the grow....I have a feeling its not enough but we will see). She is definitely looking a nice deep green shade, so she is off to a good start.

I don't know crap about autos but when i flipped them to 12/12 they got super weird. Be interesting to see how the Jack acts.
I don't know shit about them either.....this is my first one. I just don't have room in my veg tent until the Blue Dream is ready to flip (2-3 weeks), so this is where she is going to stay until then LOL. If she gets funky, she gets funky!

Damn the stank house is in action! Nice pollen Bud and Damn that amount! The plant and seedlings look awesome to!

I hope to get a male ATF from the seed so the pollen process Will start. Also i got my hands on Some 35ppm CS. Since the other worked This one should be powerfull enough. Wohoo have a great weekend van and ms stank!

Not that I am the auto professor here, but If I am right they do fine under 12/12 once they reach flower.

It Will be interesting to see :)
