Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

DTF #4 Flip Day 20

Took these pics yesterday and posted it over on the Stankberry/DTF thread but didn't get it posted over here. Made a new batch of oil caps that I tried last night and those things were potent.....woot woot. Didn't even have to do my last smoke of night. I haven't skipped my bedtime smoke in as long as I can remember so thats saying something. Slept really well throughout the night too.

Anyways, this one of ours is rolling along. You guys know I don't like not training a plant but I do enjoy getting to see a healthy girl in all her glory. Definitely didn't get anywhere near the stretch I thought I might see out of this one. She's frosting up nicely at this point. Haven't really done much sniffing on her to see what she smells like yet, but I will! :p

I thought H2O2 was detrimental to the herd. :hmmmm:
Far less than a full on infestation of fungus gnats is to the plant brother.

I am actually testing that theory as we speak. If you remember with the DTF plants, there were three girls and 1 boy. Well I doing a lot of stress tests on the DTF #2 girl, to include bad temps, bad soil, no feedings, letting the fungus gnats get bad on her to see the strain's ability to handle stress. Well with the boy, I am doing the same thing as well.....only I don't care if it lives or dies. So one of the tests I am running on him, is treating his soil with H2O2 and not doing anything to promote the health of the herd.

I am trying to do things to these plants that new growers might do because they don't know any better. In fact I have both the male and the other female still in half gallon pots with soil that had little to no Mg in them still. The girl is showing the worst signs. I can't say that I am trying to kill them, but I am walking that line. I have been letting them wilt heavily. I have been doing crappy waterings. If I can think of something make life hard on them....I try it.

So I will have an actual response to your question/comment on H2O2 in a few days to a week Shed.

Looking good stank. You got a monster and a minion going on there

Thanks Iti! Appreciate it man!! I like that...monster and minion! :high-five::passitleft:

Such beautiful things going on in your garden Van and Ms.. Starting out with your Northern Lights. A stunner and will be great meds. There's something about that one. The Amhearst is to die for. They're all well in the new digs! I didn't know to pollinate in veg! That opened a door I didn't see. Fantastic.
The African Meltdown review was awesome. We got to get you stoned and writing all the time! I can't see anyone reading that review not wanting to go get themselves some seeds and fulfilling the dream. That was major league musing my friend and made my day.

Thanks Otter! We are very pleased with how the garden is coming together here. Took a little bit to get the environment dialed in, but the plants seem to be loving it.

That African Meltdown is definitely something unique. I smoked some of her around 12:30 yesterday afternoon and we went for a walk in the woods. Didn't have any desire to smoke again until about 5:30 pm. It gave me a legit 4+ hours of medication. I don't get that from any other strain. And its so enjoyable yet functionable to me. She's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I will have to be careful I don't pick her too much as my day time strain. I love her unique high and don't want it to become the norm. Let me know when you want to try her.

African Meltdown 1.1 Flip Day 21

Only doing one update today and this is the lucky starlet. Talk about a new favorite in my garden....both from an ease of grow to the dynamite smoke effects. I smoked her this afternoon and went for a walk. Met and visited with neighbors we hadn't encountered yet, Got back home, was talking with Ms Stank for a while and realized I was still high 5 hours later. Soaring high....still like I had chugged a pot a coffee and really just amped. I decided to try something I have never done before.....trying to come down from a sativa high.

It wasn't that it was overwhelming....because it wasn't. It was that it was closing in on 9pm and I needed to be up early which means early to bed. Thats not something I have ever had to do though...and I feel like her potency is increasing along with her length of high as she cures. I mean come on...4-5 hour highs that stays that steady and strong? I am generally lucky to get 3 hours from a strain. And that is off only 3-4 hits on the bong.

Anyways back to her. She is a beauty like her mom and I won't have to worry about the soil being off and screwing her up. She will be getting her first flower top dressing of EWC, Kelp, Gypsum, Epsom Salt and Basalt tomorrow along with a watering. Not really getting a lot of strong smells from her yet. Overall a very happy and healthy girl.

Start off with a full flower tent shot.....lots of goodness happening in there!

And a Goodnight shot from the Stank girls

:thumb:Impressive Van :bravo::Namaste:

Thank you Dynamo, I appreciate it. Hope all is well in your garden!

Nice frost and the buds are already well-stacked only 21 days into flower. Going to be another beautiful harvest!

Thank you Shed, We are very happy with how she's growing the 2nd round through. She's fun to grow too, not finicky at all and she likes the bondage. What more could you ask for right?
:drool:love me some strong sativa. That's a great looking tent :high-five:

Thanks Iti! I know I am digging this strong sativa. I didn't think she was overly potent at first, but the last two times I have hit her she's shown me that she isn't just long lasting. She has some pop to her....but I LOVE IT!!

Didn't take long to get things dialed back in at the new homestead. Looking stellar as always.

Thanks Derby, We are pretty happy with things in the garden. I have the Radon guy out here doing some mitigation in the basement and once he's done with that and I can get an electrician to come do the work I need, I can set up the big tent.

Not sure what happened with the electrician, he came out and was supposed to come back. I texted him and dude won't respond. Oh well, I am sure there is someone else there that might want the work. :hmmmm:

Oh My yes.

:thanks::passitleft::high-five:

When you put the Spydrx into the 10x10 on a light mover, doesn't that change the amount of light any single leaf gets in a 24 hour period enough to be significant?

The idea with a light mover is that you're now hitting parts of the plant that wouldn't normally get light if the light was stationary. I don't use a light mover, but the PPFD charts I've seen on light movers show the plants actually get more PPFD using the same light. That being said, I'm sure there's a max distance/speed you can move the light before you get diminishing returns.

Hey Krip, that strain is killer. I been puffing on that stuff a lot this week and man let me tell ya!! She is turning into a superstar that African Meltdown. We start making S1s on her this week!

Nice! :thumb:
What are you gonna use to flip her? STS or CS?

STS.....picked up the needed distilled water to mix the batch up. Gonna just start going down the line every couple weeks. Gonna start with the African Meltdown, then move to the BCP, then Tangie, then Hindu and NL. And then if any of the DTF or Stankberry that I am growing out turn out to be great (one Stank is definitely growing like a winner), I will make some S1s of that.

Electricity scares the shit out of me.....always has. We are just looking to add a couple outlets into a couple different spots in the basement. Would allow me flexibility in determining where I want the tents to go, where I want the grow cave entertainment area, where we put the exercise equipment and where I set up the worms and soil bins.

I try to set stuff in a flow sequence....and right now nothing is where I want it lol. I didn't want to invest a lot of effort into until we got sparky out to do the work so I could then set it up how I want it to flow.

We got the Radon mitigation done today so now I feel better about spending time down in the basement. Getting the outlets put in is really the last thing we need to do before the big tent goes up.
