Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

And I had this tester in reserve.....less than a gram over not counting trim/larf

Okay, I am encountering something new to me and need some advice, suggestions. I have two Northern Light plants growing in my small tent that I use for breeding. One of the Northern Light plants is a Sensi Seeds version. The other a Nirvana (Seedsman) Northern Light IBL version. I sprayed the heck out of the Sensi plant with feminizing spray to make boy parts which I have been able to do. All that aside, here is my problem. Both plants continued to stretch and are now inches from the light. The pistils on the top of the plant are curling up prematurely. I think from the light being too bright, not from heat. I wanted to learn how to super crop them but am not sure I can as the stalks are very woody/hard/firm and not the least bit pliable. I think if I were to bend them over they might snap off. The light is as high as it can go. What do you guys think?

Ok, so the 3-2-1 method is basically hours. 3 hours of direct smoke....keep it smoking good for that three hours and then the smoking part is done. Now on to the "2". The "2" is two hours wrapped in foil with some sort of liquid. I generally use some apple juice. I put the rack of ribs bone down and pour the juice underneath it. Not enough to soak the whole rack but maybe a 1/4 cup. When your "2" is done, its time to unwrap and back on the smoker WITH NO SMOKE now.....just charcoal. Unwrap and if you want to put on any sauce or glaze, the "1" is the next hour where you mop or glaze your ribs.

So 3 hours of smoke
2 hours of wrap where its steaming the apple juice or other liquid into the meat
1 hour of mop or glaze.......3-2-1

My ribs are never dry and always fall right between fall off the bones and just a little bit of pressure to get a bit. Its tough with today and doing 4 racks that are all a little different in thickness. So for that I put the thicker closer to the side box where the temps are about 10 degrees hotter than the back of the smoker (where I put the thinner racks). There might be a little variation in the doneness but any of the 4 will be delicious.

I do it like that but for the 2-1 I wrap em in foil and bake in oven @250 then unwrap and mop for the 1 or until separation. Alway delish and never dry. Stank got a good method that works every time. Man I love ribs.

Congrats on your harvest Stank - that bud looks tasty too. Bud rot... I hate that as bad as mites. As much as I hate sayin this, mites can wash off. Prefer to not have to deal with it. Why I don't run much this time of year.

Try Horsetail fern tea sprayed on in veg to mid way in flower. Kills the spores. Mold can happen in a heart beat when it gets humid. Right now here, the dew point is about the same as the outdoor temps at night so think walking in soup. Yuk. Plants suffer in this shit. I start sweating just thinking about it.

Lots of fires every where. Prayers out the to firefighters and to the folks living in the danger zones. Cali and Ontario getting hit hard. :Namaste:

Mars II light?? The flowers look like there shouldn't be much stretch left in them.

Pinch stem where you wanna bend it before you bend.. then genlty crack it over. You'd be surprised how strong the stems are, usually I just bend it over. The repair only takes a day or 2 and the plant is off and running.

That's the thing. There is no pinching these stems. They are hard like a tree branch. I was going to roll them between my thumb and fingers but no dice.....too hard. The Nirvana NL plant gives a little but very little. The Sensi is hard as a rock. My fear is I snap it and am standing there holding the piece that broke off.

UPDATE: The one I thought would just snap off did not. But it has big cracks in the stalk. The other one has cracks also but not as significant. I know they are resilient plants so I'll see what happens.

Congrats on the LB Van. That girl was the beast you thought she was.

Thanks Derby, I appreciate it. She was a beaut, that's for sure! Hope all is well in your neck of the world brother!

Hey Bob, thanks for swinging by. It always nice to have ya swing through!

Horse tail ferns.....yeah I have been looking. I can't get out and about as much as I would like with my back but I look for it every time I go out and I have yet to see any near us. I will find a spot eventually and then my issue will be solved.

Yeah I hate this humid shit . I left Florida a long time ago for a reason. Is it fall time yet?:passitleft:

Hey Van,

A wish, became a goal, became reality... Woo Hoo on the 1LB plant.

I:bravo::slide::welldone:

Thanks brother.....it all just came together. I knew early on there was something special about her, but I didn't think I would be able to hit that mark. Talk about by the skin of the teeth! Less than a gram!

Van, congrats on the LB. Was this done with the Spdryx+ Light? and were you using the C02?

Hey Zin, thanks bud! Yes it was done with the flower portion being done under the Spydrx Plus. The veg is done under a Perfect Sun Dwarf Star. She was a beast under the veg light too so I think genetics was the key with her.

Cheers brother! :passitleft:
Congrats on the harvest Van, that was an impression girl for sure

Thanks brother! And congrats to you too! Well deserved on the MOTM!

Sweet harvest, job well done!

@beez0404 wrap a little tape around the split portion and they should be fine.

Thanks brother.....she was a fun one!
Nice work bro! :ganjamon:

Thanks brother! Making seeds from her as well as keeping her around for a while. Good yielder there!

Dreaming of LBs......

I have the entire harvest in a Turkey bag at this point.....talk about a big bag of weed!!

African Meltdown Veg Day 43

Doing my best to keep this girl small. Not sure how much longer I can keep her in this 1 gallon. Think I will be up potting this beast to be next week (if I can nurse her there). She got another drink of ACT yesterday and was nice and perky today. The pictures don't really show just how stout this girl is! I love her structure. Not much side branching showing on her. Her leaves are looking more Indica than I expected to see from this lineage. Hoping that she will turn more Sativa.

Hawaiian Mayan Gold Clone Day 48

Happy to say this girl is recovering very nicely from her funkiness following her Neem bath. She is developing a lot of bud sites. She threw out a lot of funky growth right after the bath, but that growth did a lot of self topping and even some branches that turned into 4 shoots. There are a lot of shoots that will be appearing as she gets bigger! She will be getting up potted to a 5 gallon next week. I might have a struggle keeping this girl manageable before any room for her opens up in the Flower tent.

She got another drink of ACT today to hopefully help get her to next week. She is needing water about every other day at this point. Gonna do a big trim on her tomorrow.

Northern Light Clone 1.2 Day 71

Haven't shown any pics of the clones in about a month. Here is the Northern Lights that Ms Stank is growing out to cross with the Harlequin. She is getting flipped this week since she's had about week to adjust to her 5 gallon pot. She got a drink of ACT yesterday in prep for moving upstairs. Ms Stank has to do her final inspection to make sure she is clear of any possible infestation. Gonna spray her again tomorrow just to make sure!
