Might work but I can vouch of carbon filter they work good. I can leave my box open for 5 mins or so and can start to smell mine even being so young. With the scrubber you smell nothing it works dam good. They got couple guides on building your own. I think the problem with dry sheets on your grow is air is always flowing so sheets will need to be changed a lot.
 
I don't think the dryer sheet would work, but that said, carbon filter refill sheets probably would, so would panty hose with a bunch of activate carbon sandwiched between the two, as long as there's not air flow that doesn't pass through the carbon, it'll work well. I might throw some dryer sheets on the end just for a more pleasant overall smell, but the charcoal actually works well as long as you're not pushing a higher volume of air through it than it can handle.

I agree. Although several boxes of sheets still is less than 80$ filter.

I wish I could afford the niceties of life :rofl: Ive seen some really nice filters and filter fan combos but price is above my range. hell, $50 is above my range :rofl:

Spimp, I made mine for under $20... $10 in activated carbon for aquariums, $2 duct tape $2 panty hose, left over folgers can and some dryer venting... my actual inline fan was only $20 too I think, maybe $30 for the fan. Just a thought. It took a couple hours to scrub the area after installing it, but it works... if I open the tent, then you get canna smell, but if the tent is sealed or even mostly sealed, the whole area is scrubbed.

i made a carbon filter the first grow i did, i have tropical fish so always have boxes of activated carbon granules, they cost like 99p for a box, so i found a decent size tub and turned it into a filter, i mounted a fan at the one end of the tub then using a pair of ladies tights i made a layer of activated carbon on the inside and had holes drilled in the plastic tub, then glues it all together, the fan then pushed the air into the tub and through the activated carbon then it came out with no smell, so it is possible to make a carbon filter, my problem though was the fan was not powerful enough to move enough air, so i think a decent squirel fan would be the best option, then a homemade filter would work well,

you can also buy sheets of activated carbon material, ive seen them on the net so you could use them instead of messing around with the carbon granules, not sure how well they work or how long they last compared with the activated carbon granules but they was also cheap to buy compared with a ready made carbon filter,

I wasn't that far off. But that's the pessimist in me some times. I was just lining up the colas and estimating them compared to my 24 oz. cup grows.

If you tore up the stem out of the colas you may be have a little bit more even.

Like your wife said... You just saved yourself some money! Now you get to smoke that premium "virgin" bud. My mouth is starting to water...

Hey! You beat your last grow by 7 grams! Nice. Progress is progress.

I believe that at some point you will max out the bud to soil production. For me in the cups it was around 0.5 grams per ounce of soil using CFL's.

Next? You got to out do yourself and find the max you can produce considering soil/lights/conditions, etc...

I growing the Blue Mammoth strain again. I have one about to finish but I think I may have stunted here with really tight SCRoGing. So this one Im gonna let it go as much as possible and see if I can improve harvest. This Blue I currently have is getting really ambery and is very dense. Shes just small. But the beans were very different sizes as well. I think the bean color and size is an idication of plant quality. But Im just acrazy smoker so who knows :rofl:

I have a serious Question now. My 'hash' is now very evaporated but its still a little liquidy. Do I need to wait until its really dry to roll it? Or does it still have alot of moister when its done?

My moms used to tell me they would dip a toothpick in liquid hash and run it downa cig then smoke it. :hmmmm: Maybe that would work.

The cig with liquid hash is for the rick simpson oil-type, but it's still better mixed and then rolled.

Try a lil bit of a mix in a bong and see how strong it is.

I make an oil/tobacco mix and keep it in the tobacco pouch or in a glass jar.
 
just go easy on the hash until you know its ok, the hash i make ends up nice and dry but still pliable, its not squidgy as such so go easy in case you got any of the alcahol in it that you used, or what ever you used to make the hash,
with my hash i have to break little bits off and sprinkle it in a spliff, so do a small sample first and see how it tastes,

the buds look great on the last page, well done on the harvest, looks like some very nice bud

Will you guys take a look at THIS LINK. Its regrding a 150w HPS system. Its less than $100 and may help the fluffy bud syndrome but I need an opinion or 4. :):)

312w CFL vs 150 w HPS....
