On the led topic I find the heat is still there it is just not beaming onto your plant. I is on the back side. Although I never have grown with anything else. So can not compare cfl to led heat. Being mildly geeky and wanting to save on running cost I went led. I got a email with bunch of links to sites I have used for research. I can PM if yea want there is some interesting stuff out there and guys have tried a lot of things. Nothing ground break just as you research you will find nixed reviews about most leds out there.

Part of the reason I been trying make it point to be on top of my journal and just be led. That way someone who is new could get a idea of what they might be able to do with no exp with led or growing. It's one thing for some guy who has been grown for years get great returns but yea notice of the noob does well.

Hard not to take a $40 chance that could mean more weight. Ill have to heavily consider this. Has anyone ever seen anything on the PAR38 bulbs you see at home improvement stores?

I do believe I have seen a couple where people used leds like those oh yea and my links are mainly focused on building your own. That is one of the options with led then you can fit them perfect for your space.
 
I'm not sure about the ones at HD, but there's Miracle LED out there which I think might be Par38... the low end ones have bad bad reviews, the higher end ones have much better reviews (5 watt), but that being said, supplemental light and I've seen a few people claim that the clamplight/broodlight style round reflector improves their light coverage... can't say for sure on this... I'll end up trying a couple over the winter on window sill plants.

Secondly you guys have given me some great info, Thank you very much. Some of the highend are amazing, but $ is tight in the Ghetto. ;) Its going on 'the list' tho cause Those ballasts and bulb changing and third degree burns kind worry me :rofl:

I may have to ghetto up a planter and make it shorter but fill th entire space. Then take a photo seed and start filling it up! This auto is probably 24-30 inches from stem to stern an with a photo i could top and/or Fim.
:hmmmm: It looks like by the pace of this auto, its not going any faster than my first photo gals...

2 blue mammoth auto fem
1- afgan kush special fem photo. freebie
^bought seeds.
2-sour disiel bagseed
2-GDP bagseed
1- afgan fluff* bagseed *he called it afgan, I added fluff because it was some fluffy nugs
20ish random brickbud seeds.

If I do a photo next Im learning towards the GDP. I know its like 1% its actual GDP, but it was purple, tassty, and potent as hell. :) But Im realy leaning towards a transiberian. Mostly cause i like mixing it up and its one of my new ones :rofl:

You have quite the library of seeds! That's the problem with living up here, no connections and no way to get any accept buy them from abroad.

That's what I did... ordered from our Sponsor Herbie's... no problems at all and the lemon kush and mazar x white rhino just popped and are under lights... I'm still waiting on the Auto Candy Kush to pop... but no issues at all on delivery to the PNW.

I can't use Herbies, they don't take paypal and my bank blocks all transactions to the UK. I have to get transportation 80-90 miles north to a walmart if I hope to get a prepaid, and that transport costs $50 alone!

$20 spent at the local bar for some brickbud may provide some bagseed for ya. :) Notthat I condone such activity, but Alaska is still USA so im sure you can find something if you follow the signs. :)

that's like a catch 22. The real proper weed you cop never seems to have seeds & wouldn't you get the best plant from the best weed? But then again i do remember reading somewhere in :420: That a good strain doesn't necessarily mean a good end product & a weaker strain doesn't necessarily mean an inferior end product or something to that effect. It was before i started bookmarking post so i cant be sure.
 
Kinda Reg. The best is sensimilla for sure. But those same strains sometimes get pollinated and turned into seed smoke. And if you reverse the process and take a seedy bag and grow it without seeds it will be better than where you got the seess from. If that makes sense...
