Thank you Thank you gentlemen.

The challenge is the tall Bubba Kush.
I dont know how to even out the canopy because she is s tall. I have the light on an angle and the BK every morning is 2-3" from the light! Ive got my other plants raised like a foot and they still arent close enough for my liking.

Here's the truth. I want to and probably should super-crop this girl. But I lack the courage to do it currently. Both because Im afraid Ill F it up. :bitingnails: (Ive never super-cropped) and it would suck if I snapped off the top cola. Damn I need an idea guys.
:confused::confused::confused:

I super cropped a couple super lemon branches this time. First timer too.. Mate there is nothing to it. Finger n thumb pinch the branch then bend it to ur chosen angle. I had to tie it down to hold the angle the stem is still strong at the link point even whin freshly kinked I found. Just my personal expieriance.

Hi Spimp :ciao:

If the main stem is still flexible, then supercropping should not be a problem.

If you break the stem (unlikely), the energy will go to the rest of the plant.

If you don't want to supercrop, you could always replant her diagonaly in a larger container,

Or raise the lil 'uns up higher :)

i found the best way to super crop is using this method,

get the stem between your thumb and finger like alex says, but apply a small amount of pressure and gently roll your thumb and finger so your not just pushing down your sort of rolling the stem so your applying even pressure, once you do this for 15ish seconds the stem will start to go a bit soft, then you can bend it where you like, i find that some recover quick and within 12 hours are back the same as they was, so i use a tie it to the edge of the pot so it cant right itself.

just apply slight pressure at first then gently roll it between thumb and finger but only slight, then you will feel it start to give, then its fine to bend and wont snap, but you need to make sure you feel it give slightly before you try bending it, once you done it you will know what we are on about, its quite firm at first but gentlywork it and slowly apply more pressure then you will feel it start to go sort of mushy and squashy, then just bend it which ever way you like and job done, if it goes to limp then just tie it up and within 24 hours you can take the tie off and a knuckly will form where you bent it,

their is also another method i was reading about a while back, its where you use string or something similar and you tie it around the stem and sort of restrict the nutrients, sort of like the blood tests you have at doctors where it stops the circulation in your arm, ill try and remember what its called but it gives the same affect as super cropping, im sure subcool uses this other method. you just tied something quite thick around the stem so it wont cut into it then pull it tight to put pressure on the stem, it just slows nutrient uptake past the part you tie and then it goes to the rest of the plant,

ill try and remember what its called then you can have a read, but its the same as super cropping but insted of bending the stem you leave it as it is but restrict it by having something apply pressure all the time like thick strong or something similar,

go practice on something outside, go and find a plant with a similar size stem and go and have a few goes at super cropping something you dont mind snapping or something you can tell the mrs the dog done it, she dont need to know you snapped her best plants in the garden, or blame the neighbours cat,

practice will give you some idea of what you need to do with the plant your growing,

Thank you very much guys! +reps to the Three Wise Men Alex,Rico DP.

I went and tried it on my pepper plant and did three about the size size stem. :)

Im going in--- If im not back in 15 mins, send the Trauma Unit plese!! :bitingnails::bitingnails::bitingnails:

p.s. Ill take pics. :)

She Snapped. Very similarly to a twig.
My fist bend I rolled my finger and thumb and bent her 90 degrees. And when I let go she snapped back as if nothing happened. So I re-bent her and Snap.
I had nthing ready to go for a clone. I scrambled and was able to get her in soil with rooting powder under a single 26w FL in my cabinet. not scraped but trimed the leaves.

Damn damn damn.

sounds like it needed squeezing a tiny bit harder, ive not had one snap after its all ready bent though, they usually snap first time round as they are soft after been squeezed.
it can be grafted back on but no saying it will take if you try it, but you need tooth picks and some tape, then cut both stems at 45 with sharp knife then put them together and use tooth picks to support the plant and stem them tape it up tight, it should then take again,

ive not had much look grafting another plant onto another plant so really not sure how well it would work, but it works if done right. i never had tooth picks when i tried grafting

Its not your fault. I needed to do something and I did what I thought best. It didnt work out an next time I know better. Ill post some pics in a sec.

Im pissed because I didnt want to clone this plant. I hadnt thought of it and wasn't ready. I was too confident I get super crop here. I noticed she was bright green and even more rigid than I thought but the pepper was almost the same.
I guess there is a difference between a growing plant and an end of season plant. Damn it.

No biggie about the grafting. That would put me back in the spot im in regarding height.

Th positive is as Rico said, the energies will be redirected. So I really dont even care if the top survives because she wont be what She was about to be if that makes sence. I just needed to vent and release my dissapointment.
:)

the growth below will now get all the energy and you might find it works out ok, no more height issues and it should bush out more now and have more than 1 top so you should be ok. so rico is spot on

The 3 wise men ; I like that.

Oh gosh. Can I keep the reps or do u want them back lol
Shit sorry to here that the supercrop did not go at all as pland.
I don't no what to say to make u feel better.....
At least it wasn't ur only plant?
Thanxx you two, That's the first laugh I had all day. :Namaste:

Sorry for your recent woes my buddy. She should perk back up and bless you with more heads than planned. We live, we learn and if possible dont cock up the same way again lol. Might be in a real spot of bother myself in a bit. Gert is yellow, flushed her yesterday then 5 -6 hours later she was almost neon yellow. So panicked and fed her a big dose of food. All I could think was she was hungry then I flushed all her food away, so hoping the feed was the right choice?! Lights on at midday so fingers crossed!
