Spimps NLxBB Auto Micro CFL's 2013

The last hash i got (years ago) was super dark and dank. Rolled into a oily ball. Tasty like arse but got you devastated. :)

So If I top all 4 of these tops, should I try a clone extravaganza??
YES YES YES an extravaganza! I want lot's of pics & for you to describe every step. Walk me through it.

hows the clone going with no dome or have you not tried it yet, i only take my clone off when i know its grown at least 1cm or more, some take ages to root and if its got a sturdy stem them it will still stand up but the leaves will wilt pretty quick if the roots are not supporting it, so just keep an eye on the leaves, if they start to wilt put the dome back on as they die within hours with no dome.

you know the one with the yellowing leaves, is the soil a tad on the wet side with that one, if its fresh compost it was put in then it wont be lack of N, its more likely over watered and the roots are not having a good time so its not taking in all the nutrients it needs, the puffed up looking leaves are usually a sign its a tad over watered which is very easy to do with clones as the soil dont get chance to breath much, as long as its got roots it will recover pretty quick as the soil dries out a bit

Reg, step 2 in my plan could very well be Throw Clone in the bin! :) Its just an experiment they may fail :wood: Ill take the pics if I try for ya

Light Addict your yellow makes my yellow feel much better! :high-five:

Donpaul.p I wish I would have read your part about few hours can kill them about a few hours ago... damn. :bitingnails: She's been topless (giggidy) for a couple hours. Just remisted, domed and put up.
Its possibly overwatered, but only because there are no drain holes. But she has only been "misted in" since planting. I prewet a 50%perlite 50% potting soil and put it in the container. Only misting since 7 days. The first day I could see liquid in the bottom thru the transparent sides but it has been gone for 5 day or so.

Even if this girl expires, Ill be ablet autopsy and examine what went wrong. I may get more information if she dies becasue I will be able to closely examine the roots.

If This clone doesnt work, the success rate of the next ones will get better. :) This repotting fiasco I did, Actually looking at th

Did you fall asleep mid sentence?

:welldone:

Did you fall asleep mid sentence?

:welldone:
Yes.

I will finish my thought for ya. :)

The repotting fiasco let me actually look at the root structure and see how MJ roots. I also was able to look at the visual health see what looked bad and what looked good.
The fact that I took two plants and completly stripped the roots of soil, then repotted than and they are still alive tells me MJ is slightly tougher than I gave it credit to be. ;) Getting to do that withmy hands and seeing it with my eyes really flipped the switch  for me.

ROOTS my man... ROOTS. :)

Good Weed Cronichemphog, Rico and others. :)

Sir Rico, I believe I will snip the 4 tops. Ideally Ill veg her and bubba at least another 3 weeks before flowering. Do you think I should try to clone the tops?

Ok, This is called the Cant just sit and Wait update.
Topped Gizmo. Decided to just cut the baby tops:

And for you REG, Pics of my Currently Failling Clone attempt:

Probably should have gave her another week. Dug her up and inspected--- no roots. Really no anything. She appears to have a swollen stem, But that could be just from siting in moist soil. I re-dipped her in rooting powder and transfered her to a better composed medium of Soil, perlite, and vermiculite. By the looks of the yellowing on her, Ill know by friday if shes a goner. BTW the dome fits perfectly ontop of a red party cup so Thats where she sits now.

sounds like the dome is spot on, you will need drain holes though in the bottom though to let oxygen to the roots, without oxygen the roots wont grow and the stem will just rot, when i take clones i just use compost strait out the bag and give it just 2 or 3 sprays then it gets nothing else until the clones have rooted, all i do is spray the clone once or twice a day but only a little spray so their is water on the leaves, then if the dome is not keeping the humidity up and steaming up then this is either because the temps are to low, ive found giving the dome a spray inside once a day helps keep humidity up, the roots wont grow if the medium is to wet as the roots need to go and search for the water.

im sure you will get it sorted soon and you wont have any problems rooting in the future, it took me a couple of goes and i found the less i care for them the better they seem to do, so if temps are good and the dome is misting up then it should root, just take the dome off once or twice a day for 1min at a time just to let fresh air in,

It look's like it was starting to collapse anyway. We live to grow & clone again.

Good weed, Spimp :ciao:

The stem on cuttings swells up just before the roots appear

Those Gizmo cuttings look better for tissue-culture than cloning ;)

For future clones, one thing that helped me was that I was sent cloning acc's I won from the Tony's online grow show. In the prizes was a can of PUR ProMix. This stuff is a mycorrhizal compound. I am getting 90% or more success rate @ cloning now.
I frankly don't know if it's the PUR or I got better, but I believe its probably not me.
Try it & see what you think.
Also, I split the bottom of yhe stem & strip the outer layer of stem above the split. You saw the root dev. Try it & see what ya think.
