Spimps NLxBB Auto Micro CFL's 2013

damn thats some nice looking bud, i should have my nug jar tomorrow for my own top shelf bud,

if your having problems with the soil going muddy and compacted then its not worth using mate, i get mine from wallmart but its called asda over here, they sell big bags for about £2 or $3.50 ish depending on the exchange, its not got wood in it and it dont compact down either, chances are your roots are just getting smothered and the lack of oxygen is causing you problems, maybe if you mixed it 50/50 with perlite then it might be ok, but for the price of a bag of compost you would be better of using a different brand, i tried paying £20 for a bag of compost and only a small bag at that, all my seedlings died and when i transplanted into a bigger pot and into this new compost my leaves just like claws and plant nearly died so clearly that compost was way to hot in the N that i needed,

with the clones i usually have mine root within 7 to 10 days, but some strains can take longer and anything up to 3 weeks, as long as the dome is keeping the humidity high then it should root, the soil needs to be just kept damp, usually fresh out the bag is all it needs, i dont water my clones as the roots need to grow to search for the water, so all i do is mist the clone once or twice a day then spray inside the dome, when i take the dome off its only off for 1min at a time as if its any longer the leaves start to wilt,

ive only had 1 strain that wouldnt root so i had to use air layering which works every time if you get it right as you root the clone while its still growing on the plant,
usually you wont notice any difference with the clone for at least a week or 2 so leave the dome on until the clone has clearly grown a new node and you can see new leaves growing, once you see that the dome can be left off, at first i had problems as the soil was to wet for the roots to grow, so now when i take clones i either use compost strait out the bag as it has some moisture in it so is enough until the clones have rooted, or if the soil is dry then i give it a few sprays with a water bottle and let it soak in for about 30min before putting the cutting in and i find that keeps it damp enough for the roots to grow without it been to wet,

the dome should keep the soil moist or if it does dry out a tad then just give it a couple of sprays, dont pour water on to it as it only needs to be slightly damp for roots to grow, if you use rooting gel then i poke the hole in the soil with a match or what ever then drip a small drip of rooting gel in the hole, then when i take the clone i cut it off the plant then scrape the bottom of the stem all the way around with a sharp knife, then i let it sit in the gel for about 20 to 30 seconds before i put it in the soil,

I used a rooting powder. After I snipped her I had a shot glassof ph'd and set her in that for maybe 15 seconds then dipped here in the powder making sure everything got coated them into the dome. When I do n actual cutting next time I think Im gonna scrape the stem some.

Spimp, one kush popped her tail, will be planting tomorrow... any advice?
Be theere in a sec sir. ;)

I want to see the pik :)
ME TOO!!
Good day Master Spimp! I'd say frosty nugs to ya but by the sound of it you already have that sorted my friend! Sinking into your chair is my kind of smoke too so well done all round.

I missed the earlier stages of gitmos life...what issues did she have to turn out this way? Did u give her to much loving spimp?

Tried a MG sprouting medium which proved to be a disaster. She has been burned up and nursing for 30+ days
I dont expect anything to come out of this but a lesson with her or the autos t be honest. Especially the autos. I basically overwatered them and stunted them for 2 weeks or more.
Im using it to do a few things and see what happens. For now they fit in the box so I figured I didnt want to clip them. Wanted to see what it took to save them ;)
Good weed sir btw.

hold on a minute, check the back of the compost bag for me as a few of us have been helping another grower with similar problems and we have narrowed it down to the compost as other growers on other sites and even fruit and veg growers have been having a similar problem and plants just end up dying, its suppose to be an organic compost mix with .10N, 0.05P, 0.05k, on the back of the package it says made from poultry crap and feather something or other,

check the back of the pack where it tells you what % are in it and see if its the same or similar, this product is very woody and it says its organic but even fruit and veg growers are questioning it as all their plants are dying as well, it could just be the compost mate, if it is get some john innes or westlands if you can get that by you as its very cheap and my plants love it, so check the compost and see if yours is the same poultry crap or what ever it says then im sure it said feather something or other, it was just below where it gives the %, ill try and find the journal and post the link so you can have a look, he posted the pic of the bag in his journal and a member looked on the net and many people are having the same problems with this woody type compost

@dp You got mywheels turnign last night cause the problems you said about the soil were spot on. And it fits the descriptions as well. But I did some looking and found out this plain looking soil is actually made by hyponex who is owned by scotts/mg... Nowhere on it does it say anything but earthgro. :hmmmm:
Well played MG...well played.

Good Weed and Happy Frieday everyone!
:ciao:

So my girls are looking even better today! I actually have what appear to be plants instead of sick dying things. :wood:
So I suppose Im my haste to sprout replacements, I hadnt considered where Im gonna put 8 plants if I managed to salvage the three victims.:scratchinghead:
