Some Classic Favorites & Other Things In Soil

SweetSue is up and walking and my house is just cold.

I saw this and thought, "Ugh, ugh. It is cold here and probably even colder there. Lady you must be crazy!" :laughtwo: (Of course I say that affectionately Sue!)

I can't get over how wonderful your plants look. It's going to be crazy delicious in that flowering tent soon.

Flower Day 5

The only strain that I've grown that hits me on the exhale with the terpene Limonene is my bag seed "Mary". She's also one of the smoothest smokes I've had. Limonene is good. She's my Throw Back Picture this week. She was my first grow and this is her re-veg.

Panama is now 39 inches total height. She's grown to about 5 inches from the Mars II 900. As a group, the Classics looked a little limp yesterday so I started bubbling 2 gal of water and searched for that probe I have that can check soil pH and measures moisture. I finally found that thing and it measured in the dry range.

I added 2 TBS of Budswel to each gallon and divided it among the girls. I'm hoping this timing is good. The Budswel is 0.01-0.10-0.01 and is seabird and bat guano with EWC. I have given some thought to adding Beastie Bloomz to my arsenal. That one is 0 - 50 - 30 !

I'll just grow on the conservative side and just finish this out with the Budswel and hope the soil I built has enough strength to get them to the end.

I'm tinkering with sending a box of my soil mix to the NC Department of Agriculture for analysis since the cost is $0 before Thanksgiving day. I'd also have to send a box of straight peat moss for comparison. Yep...gonna do this. :bongrip:

Have a great day folks.

Microscopic View of Pollen sacks from FV x MK male. I'm trying to dry this in a controlled environment. I never even thought of removing any pollen sacks from the one other male I had. Little fu*&er spooked me.

Anyway, the pollen sacks on the male outside have not burst yet which I'm counting on to be my signal to harvest the pollen. That should be some time this week I hope. That way I'll be certain to have mature pollen for future crosses. I'm definitely over my pay grade messing with pollen with those beautiful ladies in that tent.

I stored my pollen in my refrigerator. It still made seeds after about six months storage. It has got to be dry. I use the crisper draw and keep it in old aspirin containers. There is a bunch of various methods to keep it dry in storage, desiccant things. I hope it keeps for years.
Still nice to have a seed supply. Just in case.

Flower Day 6

Great news.....this is the last day of ugly political campaign ads.

Great news from the GR....everything is looking good and Mystery Seedling is blooming so now it is narrowed down to an auto-flowering strain. I'm still guessing Crazy Miss Hyde and the only other strain possibility would be Dark Devil but I'm pretty sure that all the DD seeds went into peat pellets. The Mystery seed was found growing in a pot that I later used to transplant a clone. My notes say this is Day 31.

Panama's stretch is slowing as we've completed the second week of the 12/12 light schedule. I'm truly impressed that the branch end nodes have got that look about them. Flex your imagination. I suspect another 10 days of stretch and I raised the LED about 5 inches yesterday. Head room is approximately 20 inches so we should be good to go there.

Chemdawg, Blue Dream and Amherst Sour D are just grinding away with bud development and I'm fascinated by each of them. So far, these girls have been very easy to grow. I give credit to the genetic selections and just a little attention to the topping process. My environment has gotten easier to control with cooler conditions outdoors. Targets are now 40% - 50% humidity and temperature under 80 F in the bloom tent.

Wouldn't everyone like to work at a top notch breeding company for a few weeks? Now that would be a great experience. Even working at a boutique or collective breeder would be a treat. My wake n bake has me dreaming of breeding high quality herb. :bongrip:

Have a great day folks.

I stayed up late watching election results. Jack Herer in my bowl this morning and I'm not sure I am coherent. Girls look good so I took them out for picture day. I hope I didn't mix them up.

I topped the 2 Panama clones yesterday. They will be like moms I guess.

Have a great day folks.

Flower Day 8

My low back woke up a bit angry this morning. Combination of bag seed Mary and Dark Devil went into my bowl :bongrip: Back is better. Jim is stoned.

:bongrip: or :passitleft: Have some!

Team is basically on auto pilot yet I think they may need a drink of something today. I bubbled 2 gal of water overnight so some Microbe tea will be on the menu. I am really getting excited that one of these 4 is going to be my new favorite. Every one of them has a different structure to brighten the day. Panama has those spindly fans going now. The branch ends also don't look as strong as down below.

Everything looks to have that bud perfect leaf to calyx ratio. I'm not sure exactly what that would be mathematically. I just want the calyxes to produce bunches of cannabinoids.

:MoreNutes::MoreNutes::MoreNutes: Actually.....just more P and K.

Mystery Seed - Day 33

Crazy Miss Hyde is at this point the most likely candidate so I'll add some of her description.

I rearranged some this morning and I labeled the group photo so you can see where she's now located in the veg tent.

Samsara Seeds - Crazy Miss Hyde

Crazy Miss Hyde is an excellent hybrid, a blend of two varieties distinguished by their fragrances, sweet and very penetrating nuances. The original belladonna, is a cross of Superskunk and an F1 hybrid male, very powerful. At the same time, the cross between a male Northern Light Afghani x Skunk # 1 x Haze, makes it a small plant that produces huge flowers with thick amber buds, filled with clusters of resin. The results in both indoors and outdoors grow are excellent. This variety emanates a unique and embracing aroma at the end of flowering period. Crazy Miss Hyde has a berry flavour with a slight acid touch and produces a very physical brain effect that could even be dangerous.

Genetics: Northern Light x Belladonna
Indica/Sativa: 70/30
Flowering time indoor: 8 weeks

Nice work, Magic Jim...

Plants look good. Can't wait to see the final budz.

Keep it up!!

Peace, Hyena
