Some Classic Favorites & Other Things In Soil

Blue Dream - Day 72
Chemdawg - Day 73
Panama - Day 73
Amherst Sour Diesel - Day 65
Auto Fast & Vast x Master Kush - Day 38

The Classic Team and the FV x MK begin their second day of the 12/12 light cycle. The Exhaust fan/filter system was ordered last night and expected in 2 days. I'm having to use a combination LED and CFLs for temperature and light control. Moderate outdoor temperatures are helping.

I think the clones are really enjoying their new accommodations.

I'll try to remember to get some height stats on the big girls. I'm hoping the stretch will be about 130% so there won't be any lamp issues later. I guess we will see.

They all look so happy in their new homes! :high-five: It's kind of hard to believe they all fit in one tent. It must have been an even tighter squeeze than it looked.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but do you know what is causing the edges of your leaves to fade on the Chemdog and Amherst Sour Diesel? I'd like to lock the answer away in my drafty brain vault.

I too would love for you to have the answer just locked away in that brain vault, drafty or not. That discoloration has bothered me too and I suspect Magnesium deficiency but it could be Calcium or even Iron. On ASD, I did note the leaf tip has some burn but this is just one of those things about growing different strains and using one mix for all feeding in the tent. Now I'll mention three other things: 1) Fan blowing directly on a plant 2) Temperature swings 3) Light damage.

Short answer is I don't know. I am fussy about pH inputs but I haven't calibrated my pen in a while. :hmmm:

Hmmm. I don't think it looks like issues from the fans or lights. Temperature swings can certainly cause issues but I agree with you that discoloration really looks more like a deficiency of some sort. Maybe hit them with some extra calmag and see if it helps? I'd really love to know so don't forget to report back with whatever you try please.

:goodluck:

What pH are you running Jim?

I attempt to hit 6.3 each time I adjust. From tap it's like 8.15.

Jim, I hope you don't mind,

Duggan has a new journal up and running. Come join the excitement. :yahoo:

Duggan does Green Crack in DBHBB, one kit, two pots, 4 plants and loads of LED's!

Anytime young lady. Green Crack on my want to grow one day list.

Well....I've decided that I would bubble 2 gal of water for tomorrow.

Fox Farm's feeding schedule suggests 3 SledgeHammer flushes through a 12 week grow. I've always figured this was in there because they wanted me to buy one more bottle of their product.

The very first step is to check the calibration of the pH meter. These devices drift quite often. Don't add anything until you check that out.

On my task list. Actually, the meter has gotten a little slow to finally complete the measurement process. It might need to be replaced altogether.

I'm watching the World Series on TV tonight because it's something I've never seen before. Neither the Cubs nor the Indians have been in the World Series in my lifetime. :bongrip:

Big girls in the Bloom Room will get bubbled water and some Microbe Brew with cal mag. I think they'll like a simple mix early in the day so I'll get to that as soon as I post here.

The Big Girls did indeed get 2 gallons of bubbled water with Microbe Brew and Cal mag. The pH meter did get calibrated and was off (4.14 on the 4.0 solution). I am now a firm believer in teas and bubbling. I may add a foliar spray tomorrow.

I was a little shocked this morning with lime tips of new growth but they all look good under fluorescent light. I really wasn't expecting this but knowing the stretch has begun, the plentiful new growth is something I need to adjust to from this bunch. The Bloom Tent is a Mass of Green that doesn't and never will have a level canopy. I like natural. I'm ready to see some pistils so I can adjust the nutes mixture.

My bag seed "Mary" is in the bowl this morning. What a pleasant high. It had a lemon taste to it this morning so I'm now understanding a little more about the cure and terpene development. Well, I'm really not understanding it. I'm just experiencing a different taste as she gets better in the jar.

The filter and fan are on the Big Brown Truck so I'll need to clear those girls out later in the day. All clones in the Veg Tent got fed Cal mag, Grow Big and Big Bloom. The seedling just got water. That P2 Panama clone is going to be a giant unless I top her soon. Clones just grow differently from seed plants. I can't remember which one but pre-flowers appeared this morning.

So have a great day folks. Always a big :thanks: for dropping in and sharing your thoughts. I'm about to jump in that shower and enjoy that cleansing process.
