Day 34 Above Ground, Day 20 of Veg
Light: 18 Hours/day, 20" from Canopy at 50% Intensity
PPFD ~463, DLI 30

Hey Everyone........Gaz is looking better. Good call on the heating pad, as soon as I removed it she perked up and no more sideways leaves! When do you generally remove the pad, after she gets transplanted to a 1G/she's in veg?? She's starting to smell, still no carbon filter in the tent but its going to become mandatory soon. Her leaves are really chubby and waxy green looking, more pronounced than I've seen on other Indicas so far.

I've been training her 4 mains laterally and she's starting to bush out after the top. Question.....how do you control the canopy/keep it even with two different levels of growth? The sheer act of quadlining creates an uneven canopy, growth at the 3rd node and more at the 4th. Maybe I should use a SCROG net to train her to level before flip (or car canopy the hell out of her which is what I am doing now). I need to perfect my training method....she was perfectly vertical when I started training her but now I can see I've bent her over to one side (slightly) by cranking down on the growth shoots to make them grow laterally (I am high AF does this make sense?) :)

Stay classy 420

Definitely pull the mat brother..:high-five: hope you guys are good.. haven't been on that much.. much love to you folks..
Hey G, how are you my friend? Hope you are hanging in there man. I pulled the mat right after you/Shed said to and she looked better 2 days later. When do you generally pull the heat?

You have a riser for the pot can sit on? Instead of directly on the floor.
That will help out on root temp if inside temps are reasonable..65+
Hey Gainz.......she's off the floor. That is a piece of wood sitting on a milk crate, just creating a flat spot for the heating mat. I lost my drain pan so as soon as I get up to the Home D I'll remove the wood and put the pan there (its clear and you'll see the milk crate then). No grow is complete w/o a milk crate serving some function :).

Yeah, Mike crates are good brother.. 😂.. hope you didn't get caught behind the grocery store calling the cops on you for stealing the milk crates on private property.. 😂
The heating pad just for clones and young seedlings bro.. should be good after that pulling the mat..
Great genetics bro, should be a great show you behind the wheel..

I took 8 crates, 2 at a time. Took me a week to get them. Problem was the shop padlocks the crate keeping area after closing time so I had to go stealth 🥷

lol.
lol its funny what you'll do for a milk crate that you would never do otherwise.....shop lift? no way...steal some milk crates from the back of a store at night? fuck yes I am all in

I was 100% shocked when I searched to just buy them. 🤣 $15-$30 a piece from the Zon....

Yeah, F-that, I'm going outlaw style & "borrowing" them from a quick-e-mart. LoL

I’m just gonna put it out there.

Since our big supermarkets have brought in self serve and closed the actual shop assistant registers, I make sure I am fairly compensated for both serving myself and packing my groceries.

lol, I'll take a 5 finger discount any time i can get one. Ive only been arrested (and charged) once in my life, for shop lifting a god forsaken hostess fruit pie of all things when I was in college. They should have arrested me if I bought one, despicable food source!

Day 37 Above Ground, Day 20 of Veg
Light: 18 Hours/day, 19" from Canopy at 50% Intensity

Ok everyone, we've got action! I came down this am and the basement had this wonderful smell of....yeah, weed....time to install the carbon filter! Just got that installed and already can tell a difference. She's starting to look pretty funky: Squat and bushy with big, fat, runway like leaves, indica style, with a weird waxy look to them and a grey hue on her leaves that I first thought was mold, no, that's her her look and I am digging it. I'm keeping the light and feeds within the middle of the DLI and PPM ranges while I train her out and once in position, I can start to ramp both. I trimmed a few leaves in the middle today to expose her lower growth shoots which are starting to come in with force.

Finally, I normally don't do this, but these guys are just killing me today. I want you all to meet my 2 grow mates. The little dude (Deebo) is 5 months and Gandolph is 16!

Omg my heart.

I just love an old dog.
He's my buddy, been fishing with him well over 100 times, the most mellow dude in the world and a super athlete in his prime.

Thinking about Quadlining.........seems like its going to be a crap load of work to get this ladies canopy to level out. I've got at least 12 car hooks in there right now just to spread her out (looks like a small redwood forest and everyone is pissed at Kroger again cuz I bought up all the barbeque skewers). Another challenge, when I train her laterally, her leaves grow vertically (up in the aIr) and block all the light from the growth shoots. I want to trim them away but won't have much left if I do that, so just leaving them for now. I "think" these are short term problems that will solve themselves when she is left to grow upright. I saw where someone was twisting the stems so the leaves would grow laterally, but when I tried that I felt like i was about to break it so stopped and decided fuck it, let her revel in her own shade for now. Pictures coming tomorrow

Day 43 Above Ground, Day 29 of Veg

I am in the throws of the three T's of Veg: Train, Tuck, Trim, repeat........ She looks messy, hard to see her shape with all the car hooks and leaves poking up at odd angles, but she smells wonderful and is healthy, so patience will be my friend until I get her spread out the way I want her. I've started to think about her final transplant to a 5G fab pot and have the soil ready to prep. More to follow on that process in the next post. I sprayed her today with FoxFarm Flowers Kiss, her first dose. This is a potion of micronutrients that she doesn't get from any other source (Magnesium sulfate, Sodium borate, Copper sulfate, Ferrous sulfate, Calcium carbonate, and Protein hydrolsylate). Its recommended from mid veg to the beginning of flower so I will be spraying her with this 1x per week until flower. That's all for now, need to go shop, happy holidays!
