Hard to follow that Seahawks cheer post, should just close the journal, but Here.....We.....Go!
Day 2 Above Ground, Day 2 of Seedling Phase
Light: 18 Hours/day, 22" from Canopy at 25% Intensity
PPFD ~185, DLI 12
76.1D, 74% RH
Hey 4-2-0......Gaz is up and running, she really sprang up fast. That's 2 in a row where the seed pod has stuck to her on the way up (helmet head), a sign I need to bury her more deeply, but cool to see the pod discarded next to the stem.
I really complicate sh*t so let me explain the beginning of my first (and hopefully each major) post.

- I like to start most posts with where we are in the grow. I hate when I am reading a journal and have to do math to figure out how old she is when things are being done, etc, so hopefully this helps.
- I am a DLI believer (Daily Light Integral) and include that information in primary posts. DLI calculates the amount of light (measured in PPFD) a plant receives in a given period (measured in hours). Over time, DLI ranges have been established for different stages of the grow. Knowledge is power, you can use DLI and outcomes to establish what works best for your favorite breed/strain. I use the chart below (I've seen it around in many journals)
- I try to follow VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) guidelines, not so much in veg but especially in flower, and include the inputs (RH and Temp) in each post. I think of it as finding that magic mix of RH and temperature that maximizes the plants ability to photosynthesize (make energy). There are VPD charts everywhere if you want to try it, its not as hard as it sounds.
