Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

hey Wiz long time no see bro, thanks for the kind words im pretty happy with this round. do you mean build up in my pump or in the clay pellets? I have the filter that came with the pump, its basically just a sponge and I dont get any salt build up in the clay pellets because the pump runs 24/7 so it never dries out. I put the pump in a sink with a strong mix of CLR and run it for a cpl hrs in between rounds and that seems to keep it clean:)

No problem bud. Yea I was talking about the water pump and around the the bucket in the res. mine run 24/7 but I the it's the TDS. Nutes attaching there selves to the particles in the water. I use tap water which maybe to hard. Check out my 1.5 grow. The page before last has my whole set up which was similar to your last grow

What do you guys think my chances are on transplanting that large mainlined Pk from the water farm into a 30 gallon pot with promix.Any suggestions? the root ball is over 2 feet long so I could either get as much of the hydroton out from the top and plant the whole inner bucket in the promix or I could cut the root ball off and pull the plant out of the inner bucket, shake all of the hydroton out and plant it. do you think it would survive?

Even if I cut the root ball off theres still a ton of roots inside the pot, do you's think it would live?

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

I have often thought of this jon, if you can get enough soil in the bottom of a suitable container, you could liquify it by plugging the drain holes with tape or something, lower the roots in the liqified solution of soil, drain a litlle water and repeat til the soil built up. the plant would have to be stabilized, but I bet two people could do it in a half hour with 0 wilt. Put her in a 20 gallon pot...bucket and all!, Theres not much root up in the hydroton, just keep adding soil to that til the voids are filled, a plant with a root system like that needs a big container....survive?.......FLOURISH!

I think you could cut some of the roots back. at least the big ball and poke a couple more holes of the tub its in and plant the whole thing in a big pot of soil. bet she would never even notice the new digs except for the room to stretch her legs:)

Thats a good idea bro, I think I ll try that. Reps for the tip:)

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

you would'nt transplant it? the reason I want to is it grows way to fast for a mother in the waterfarm so I want to put it outside. Im not going to cut the roots, im going to get as much of the pellets out as i can from the top and use Mcloadies trick to get as much soil as I can into the brown pot then transplant the whole thing into the 30 gallon pot.it will take a cpl weeks to recover i think, hydro roots and soild roots are totally different but i think she will do fine and turn into a 2 pd monster by the end od september:)
