Soil - Hydro - 2400w Led - 2000w HPS - 8 Strains - 1 GPW+

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

Im not sure if I understand what you mean bro, you want to tie it into the 8 inch exaust running into your attic?your going to need to run your attic exaust 24/7 to vent the hot moist air because your a/c will run at night to, mine does to keep up with the 2 dehueys or it will cause all kinds of moisture and mold issues. If your worried about fliers add a hepa filter to your intake and exaust lines.Personally I would'nt do it like that bro I think it will end up causing problems in the future, not to mention the 8 inch fan will probably boost the exaust line and screw up your a/c because the flow would not be even anymore if that makes any sense lol..I just woke up:)

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

Im kinda catching up by going page by page backwards lol.
hey Jon my dual hose portable (Soelius Air 14K All season) what do you think about adding its 5" exhaust into my 8" exhaust ducting my Hoods? I waill be running my exhaust straight into the attic which has its own exhaust fan setup to dump the attic when I want it to. Right now I have it set for 75F but want to upgrade it to work on RH also. Just wondering instead of venting it out of a window which creates security issues and gives the fliers a place to come in at night what do you think of the 8" Vortec's flow boosting up the ports flow wjile its vented up into the attic?
Thanks

if you want to improve security by exhausting to attic i would run the duct straight to a attic vent, use some sort of filter material to keep out the bugs, take it to a vent screen that doesnt have the attic fan attached and mount up against screen. would be invisible from outside. and if you want to run multiple exhaust fans for the circuit, make sure your largest cfm fan is closest to exhaust outlet. jons right if you vent to open attic you would have to run attic exhaust 24/7 and would be introducing moisture to the attic. if you ducted to outside through attic you can make it work. hope this helps

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

if he runs it right to the roof he will have condesation in his ductwork and fans once it gets cold again, im dealing with that problem right now.

you have to run insulated flex duct in the attic. you can get any size and comes in 25' sections. use metal flex duct connectors if you need a longer run. you could use a connector on outlet with filter media over it to keep out bugs. to attach connectors fold back insulation , pull out inner duct, slide inner duct over connector , put a screw on two sides through duct and connector, trap wire from inner duct under screws, duct tape over the connection, fold insulation back over the connection and duct tape again. once insulated you wont get condensation in duct

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

doesnt work bro, Thats the stuff im using now and its full of water.doesnt matter if the ductwork is insulated, once the cold outside air meets the hot air from the lights it causes condensation, lots of it.I used to pull cool air from my basement but the negative pressure messed with my wood stove so I created that loop you see now, It will work great in the summer but once the new space is built im going to have to figure something out. Maybe draw air from the attic and blow the hot air right out a roof vent, im just not sure if the attic air will be warm enough or will I have the same problem. Im sure im missing something here, I cant be the only grower that has come across this problem. This is the first time Ive grown in a house that is heated by wood stove. That wont be an issue in the new building but I still have to figure out where to draw air from without causing the condensation.

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

you need more insulation on ducting. alot of a/c systems have duct systems in attic spaces , i know it gets really cold where your at you might trying to add more insulation over your duct, or pulling duct through a large flex for double the insulation. if you can get ducts insulated properly you will solve that problem, its all about isolating the inner duct from the cold attic temps.

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

i see so the cold air is cooling the inner duct and the humid warm air from the lights is condensing on the inner duct. i haven't dealt with that kind of extreme cold. how much cfm are you running on your exhuast system? i think your right, your going to have to draw from somewhere not exposed to such extreme cold. or maybe a electric strip heater system installed at inlet which would warm inner duct enough to stop condensation. or find a warmer area to draw from. heater could be shut off except for winter. dont know whats your best option.

OMG go on man I have been an am fairly ill of recent weeks , Bro this is the first shot I have seen or heard of looking like you are gonna make some paitents happy once again .
All the best they are looking real nice I wish I could come around (in a perfect world)
Love an blessings to you Jai Jaganatha

Thanks Jaga, unfortunatly the Canadian Government is taking our right to grow away so I wont be helping any patients legally at this time. Its really too bad, I was looking forward to peice of mind and helping patients out. All patients will have to buy thy're meds from government growers but I know a few patients around here who refuse to buy they're bunk so I ll still be helping from the shadows:)

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

Good morning Jon, a while back there was a conversation referencing the fact that roots could be deterred from growing in areas protected by the utilization of copper in various configurations. Did you ever apply this technique? The system I'm developing......or redeveloping...lol has a weak point in the fact that the roots are going to impede drainage from the chamber that the root systems will occupy to the reservoir. If we decide that this technique will in fact deter the blockage without detrimental affects, I believe it will solve this inherant flaw in my design....I look forward to your ideas and will elaborate on my design if required.:thanks:

Government weed would be like the mexican cartel weed.
Grown in harsh conditions, no care in the plants whatsoever.

The schwag sucks for many reasons, I'm sorry that some folks can't afford real weed, but I can't support violent cartels with a clear consience by participating in that crap in any way, except to show folks that there is an alternative. If my ideals weren't so contraversial we could push that shit right out of the market, and take away one of the reasons those animals insist on extinguishing precious human lives for monetary gain. LOL, a coyote was eating a neighbors chickens and he finally got it and hung it from a tree by the coop, having a pit bull in a kennel next to the coop wasn't enough to deter that opportunistic animal, but since then the problem seems to have subsided.:circle-of-love:

I never did install them bro, they are called IWS copper discs and from what Ive just been reading they work very well.I cant post any links because they are either on ebay or hydroponics sites but they arent hard to find. I figured I didnt need them because theres no screen anymore so if they do end up giving me problems I can just trim them:)

Do you know if there just like normal copper? I want to install a rubber grommet then put a copper ring in the grommet, which will have a half inch pvc water line going thru it. It will serve as a passage for the pvc and the drain to the reservoir.

Here is a link the discusses root control.

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

Im pretty sure they are just regular copper, my idea was to use the copper mesh used for slugs on outdoor plants. Its available at most growshops and is alot cheaper than the discs but would be more work which is the main reason I didnt install them. My system would need 27 pieces of mesh siliconed on, sounds like a pain in the ass to me lol... I was looking at the pics of the iws discs and they look like big pipe screens, Im pretty sure you just stuff them in the drain lines and any roots that come in contact with them wither and die simillar to air prunning.
