looking absolutely awesome there Jon!
yeah that link to seemorebuds growing "think different" is pretty crazy, alot of his stuff is though.
you have such an incredible collection of flavours going on all at once brother! the aromas in that room must be amazing :cheesygrinsmiley: my nostrils go mad when i only have 8-10 plants- mates think im nuts when i get frisky with the ladies and get my head right into every bud i can and just SNIFF for minutes on end LOL pornographic i know! but i love it when i can still smell those flavours even the next day :cheesygrinsmiley:
just awesome dude, great seeing them resin up already and im looking forward to seeing those colas link up and fatten up! keep up the excellent work man- reps all the way /|\

I have mixed feelings about that. I love the smell, but not so much when I have to go to the store and I reek of MJ. Only a grower smells like that, and I live in a small town. Luckily my wife will alert me when I'm about to go out without changing clothes, although I know I've went to Walmart many times after being in the grow room. I can only imagine how many people knew what was up. I guess I just have to be grateful that most people would have no idea what they are smelling. If I was in a big town, like when I lived in San Diego, I wouldn't care, but I live in a very small town. People talk and word gets around fast. I've had stuff make it back around to me and I had not even lived here 9 months!

lmao Alkhemist! I spend the first 15 min of every night doing the exact same thing bro! once im done with maintenance I go back upstairs and sit by my wife and every night I get the same"You wreak!" Thanks for the kind words and the reps bro:Namaste:

LOL I can sooo relate. My wife doesn't like the smell. She's not a smoker, so maybe there's no positive association going for her. I'll come upstairs, after working in the garden, and go to sit with her on the couch. She says, "OMG you reek! Go change your shirt!" :) :biglaugh:

wow your girls are off to a great start!:goodjob: i'm running out of my sample of fire bloom booster and cant afford more right now its $160 a liter. been on blue planets website and i like the logic behind their boosters. i think your video sold me, going to order early bloomer and liquid blue and run will my heavy 16 base. +reps.

Re: Blue Planet Nutrients-Soil-Hydro-2400w Led-2000w Hps-8 Strains-1 GPW+

Thanks Ronnie:Namaste:BPN's the shit bro! $160 a Litre!!!!!!!!! it cost $140 for BPN's entire high yield kit,the 4 litre one! Thats Crazy expensive..

i know thats why i wanted to run for free and see if it was worth it. npk numbers look right for early bloom but not for late bloom and they just suggest adding more in late bloom and thats not going to fix your ratio. i'm loving heavy 16 base + prime and foliar after intial ph adjustment i didnt have to adjust for four days even after adding water and nutes to the res daily. i just cant see their fire being cost effective so blue planet boosters it is.
:Namaste:

Hi Jon
What brand is your 10k portable?

This Whynter ARC-14S seems to struggle to cool my room with just 2250 watts. I made some improvements to it's ventilation last night that seem to have helped a little, but I'm worried what will happen when it gets 20+ degrees hotter outside.

It seems like it exhausts much more air than it intakes. It's creating a negative pressure in the room. My room is much harder to open when it's running because of the suction. I looked at it a little last night from the perspective of how to open it up. Maybe I can isolate the 2 sides better with some silicon? I wonder if assisting the intake would help. I did separate them by about 6 feet (mostly vertical), and have directed the hot exhaust away from the area. I have my charcoal filter intake in that area as well to vent out the warm air from the AC.

Thanks again for all your help. You're obviously a very busy man! :Namaste:

if you have an intake and exhaust hose type a/c and still have a negative pressure on the room you have air leaks in hose or connections. i would use foil grip tape for sealing air ducts to eliminate air leaks. adding an intake fan will increase capacity but use a smaller cfm fan to avoid dropping head pressure too low.

this is the unit I have now.
Danby DPAC10061 - 3-in-1 Home Comfort 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner 70 Pt. Dehumidifier, 3 Speed Fan, Dual Hose Exhaust System, Electronic Controls, Remote, GFCI Plug Support, Problems, Solutions & Manuals
I called whynter about that unit and they said it wont create negative pressure.I would try what Ronnie said and seal the conections.where are you pulling air from, the same room as your scrubber or from outside? If its the same room as the scrubber that might be your problem, the scrubber will create negative pressure, maybe its to much for the a/c?Did you add extensions to the hoses?

Thanks guys.

I did attempt to seal both the intake and the exhaust last night. I only had duct tape, so that's what I used. I'm pretty anal, so I think I got it sealed pretty well. I realize it will come undone sooner than later. I can redo it with better tape later. You're recommending the foil type of tape, right? Either I'm out of it, or i just can't find the roll.

I didn't add extensions to either hose, but the exhaust has a shorter/smoother run. The intake has an extra bend.

I think you got it Jon. I am exhausting the area where the AC pulls in from. The intake is on the bottom of the wall, and the exhaust is at the top. I then setup the charcoal filter and exhaust fan right in that same area. It's working great to control odor, but maybe that is the problem. So maybe an intake fan would help.

Ronnie, any advice on how to assist the AC's intake? It's in a wall, so I can make a baffle sort of thing if that would help. My big question is how to control it. I only want it on when the AC is on, or maybe that doesn't matter actually. Would one of those small booster fans be enough?

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll take some pictures of the setup tonight and put them in my journal. There are some in there already, but I moved things around a little since I took them. The hose attachments are all taped up and insulated now, and the AC is closer to the intake to try and balance out those runs. It's gotta be the competing negative pressure.

:thanks:

I would move the intake to a room without and exhaust system if possible. The tape is foil but also has a sticky rubber like adhesive on back, it's called foil grip tape or foil mastic tape. If you can move the intake a 115 cfm booster fan will work, if you must intake from the scrubber room I would use a 230 cfm fan let the intake run continuously that would be the easiest option. Hope this helps:)

something like this would probably work Hiker, and its cheap:)
HTG Supply - 4" Inline Duct Fan

Thanks guys. I didn't take pictures last night, but I did study the problem a bit more. I'm convinced it's due to the negative pressure. It makes sense. I tried to find another way to set everything up, but my space really doesn't offer a lot of options. I know what tape you're describing Ronnie. I have a roll somewhere, but I may have used it all. I'll pick some more up next trip to the hardware store.

I'll add an intake fan. I was looking at them last night, and was leaning towards a 4" or 6". The smaller one is probably plenty, but the larger one might prove more useful and/or versatile. I'm leaning towards an inline fan, rather than the duct boosters. I just don't think those booster fans are capable of creating much pressure. The inline fans seem to be better in that regard. Maybe I'll get an old school Dayton blower. I know those make good pressure.

I've got to solve this problem soon. One of the big attractions of a sealed room has to do with odor control. If you're not venting, there is no smelly air to deal with. The fan venting the main basement will catch any odor that leaks out. Right now, the AC is sucking the smelly air from the room and blowing it into the basement. Adding the charcoal filter 2 nights ago has mostly eliminated the odor, but not 100%. My step-son is coming to visit at the beginning of May. He wanted to come earlier, but I had to push it back until after the harvest. We don't want him to know about the garden, so I have to get everything dialed in by then. Luckily, the smelly stuff should all be in jars by the time he gets here, and all the plants will be in veg.

Thanks again guys. I'll post pictures of the solution in my journal once I get everything setup.
