SOGgy Daze Ahead For Mr. Krip!

Sorry to be redundant but your plants always look awesome and I enjoy looking at them! Thank you. And.....You are so organized, people should take note....

Thanks 4twenty! :thanks:

I really appreciate that, and don't worry about being redundant cuz' every time I hear it, is just like the first time! :)

QUICK UPDATE - NO PICS

On 10/4 I gave Lucy the UBT and cloned her top in rockwool. While Lucy has recovered perfectly from the UBT, I've been waiting to see roots coming out of the cube.

The clone was pretty short, and I've noticed on the short clones, many times you'll see roots coming out of the sides of the cube before you see them coming out of the bottom.

So, just about every day, in addition to checking the bottom of the cube, I've also been peeling back the rockwool cover to look for roots on the side.

I have to admit, I've been pretty worried not seeing any roots so far, especially because it took a while for the Lucy seedling to really start taking off, and I'm still half-way questioning the genetics I have.

But, just before lights out tonight, I checked and, after 16 days of rooting, there were two roots poking out of the bottom of the cube. :yahoo:

So, I transferred her to a "Dr. Pepper" hempy and gave her a light dose of veg nutes.

We'll see how far she and the more developed PS get by Saturday. If they're big enough, I'll add them to the SOG, but I think they'll need about five more days. That means, I'll most likely wait a few days on the other three PE's, which hopefully won't get too big in the mean time.

I don't think the second Power Skunk is gonna make it on this round, but if the other PE's can catch up quick and she doesn't get too big, I'll add her on the next round.

Pics will come tomorrow! ;)

Happy Harvests!

Nice Summary Mr. Krip. :Namaste:

Glad the Lucy cutting showed some roots. I'll be looking for the pics tomorrow.

I think you are well organized compared to most of us.:adore:

Thanks, Brother! :thanks:

You won't have to look too much further...pic update is forthcoming! :)

It's kind of funny cuz' I still don't feel THAT organized. I do like to plan and prepare, but it seems my plans keep changing so my preparations aren't quite right! :laughtwo:

Caught up and subbed, I was left with my jaw on the floor over at 420fied's 2l sog, so I'm certain I'll need to just leave it there for this one. :goodjob:

Glad you made it Sisco! :welcome:

Yeah, my jaw is still on the floor, too, and 420fied was probably the biggest inspiration for this grow. If I can do half as well as him, I'll be pretty happy! :thumb:

PIC UPDATE

We promised more pics for today, so here it goes....

First, the seven girls in flower are just doing fantastic after 12 nights of 12/12:

They all range between 9"-12", all look very healthy, and all are flowering nicely:

Here's one of the PE's:

She's right about 10" tall:

And, here's some of her buds:

Here's the one Power Skunk currently in flower:

She's almost 1' tall now:

And she's got some very nice buds all down her very thick stalk:

On the veg side, I've been preparing seven more clones with the hopes of adding five of them this weekend. The four clones in the top row are PE's, and in the 2L hempy's in the bottom row, the Lucy top is in the center and the two Power Skunks on the ends:

I really wanted to add the three plants in hempys along with two more of the PE's. But, clearly, the PS on the right isn't even close. I'm hoping the PS on the left and the Lucy can get caught up before the PE's get too big. If not, I'll probably just add three of the PE's this weekend, and then the Lucy and PS sometime next week.

Here's a better look at the healthy PS:

And, here's a better look a Lucy's cloned top:

Finally, for this update, the three future Bonsai Moms...

Your stems are healthy, your leaves are healthy, your pistols are healthy, and your plants and environment are clean. I love your dedication and attention to detail. Growers should aspire to be at your level one day. You are definitely pushing the nutrients on some of your strains but they take it and you manage it so well. 5 Stars from me sir! :welcome: :bravo:

I would tell you how awesome this looks but my dang jaw is still not working... so I'll let this guy do the talking for now :welldone:

Thanks, Bro! :thanks:
I'm really getting into this SOG thing, too! :yahoo:

I can't wait to get the rest of the plants in there; and, the thought of being able to harvest something like 12oz. over a few weeks (every 90 days, or so, if desired!) is VERY appealing to me! :yummy:

Every where I turn I see 2 ltr bottles, I think 420fied has started (re-started) a trend. Looking very nice Mr K.

Yeah, he sure has! I was keeping my SOG plans a little "secret" for a while as I was planning and putting together the new tent. By the time I started the new journal, there must have been a good half dozen other SOG's going due to 420fieds awesome results and detailed journaling of how he achieves them. :thumb:

Thanks for the good words! :thanks:

Looking great Mr.K!

Things are looking amazing on your end. I find myself so impatient seeing all these amazing grows.

Thanks, Bro, and patience, Grasshopper! Good things come to those who wait!

Thank you, 4twenty! I appreciate both the good words and 5-star rating! :thanks:

I'm really still a "noob" grower, myself, so there are MUCH higher levels to aspire to, but thanks again!

I have a lot of knowledge from doing a lot of research and retaining lots of info, but most of what you see me do here are firsts for me, too! :)

That's what I like. You are not afraid to do anything and it works out. You keep your plants healthy too. Your yield will come up as you learn your strains and remember not to overfert, that stunts a plants yield pretty badly from my experience. Almost as bad as under-watering. I've done it all, ugh...... Anyway, I think your awesome.

Bonsai! Love those little mommas. Your ladies in flower sure look healthy and satisfied. :bravo:

BONSAAAAAAAAAAAAI!!! :high-five:

Thanks, Brother! I was just thinking about how well I'm now using the available space and how much that extra tent is helping.

Once things get rolling, I could have something like 8 Bonsai Mom's, plus 24 clones in the TK, plus another 24 plants in flower in the SOG tent. And, while initially I was planning on 4 rounds of six clones to get the 24 plants in the SOG, it makes more sense to me to fill it as quickly as possible.

So, once the first 24 plants are harvested, I think I may TRY to clone 24 plants at once. That's 8 clones each from three mothers (or something like) and it would fill the cloner. But, I'd need to have a 100% success rate to be able to fill the SOG with one cloning session, so it will be interesting!

BTW....sorry to start such a "STORM" on your thread regarding STG! But, once you try it, you'll never go "BACK"! (sorry, I had to "THROW" that in!)

Don't rush the plants in Mr K, let them develop their roots and get some growth going. A few extra days is no big penalty, you will be repaid down the road. Start the PEs now if you want.
