SOGgy Daze Ahead For Mr. Krip!

Tried to rep you on your bonsai pruning method and short tutorial, but I gotta spread it first!

Thanks, Brother Quix! Hurry up and go spread some around, then come back and give me some - I'll wait! :)

Hey Mr. K. I Read your exhaust fan is 440cfm. Do you have a dimmer on it? Just a suggestion but you could benefit in a few ways from having one. Seeing as you tent is 2x4x5 it only has 40 cubic ft. You could bring it down to 150cfm and save a tad on electricity and lower the sound level. The best saving would be that lowering the cfm down to 150 you could double or even triple the life of your carbon filter. And we all know how expensive those can be. You will also benefit from a slightly longer life of the cloth prefilter as well. Just a tip from a fellow member of the growing green commitee!

Yup, it's on a speed controller!

QUICK VEG UPDATE

I did a res change on the TK today. When I did, in addition to the H2O2, DM Zone & SuperThrive I normally use, I also added some of the SMS 604A that came as part of my MOTM package. It's basically a root growth excellerator, so we'll see how it does.

Here's the Power Skunk with the smaller root development:

Doesn't appear to be much change since yesterday. But, the PS with the most root development is really going off:

DSCN11201.JPG

If you look close, you can already see the "fishbones" forming in the roots:

DSCN11211.JPG

And, here's the one PE that was put in last week. No roots yet, but you can just make out the root "bumps" on the stem where the roots will be forming any day now:

Here's a snapshot of some of the veg girls:

Still waiting for Lucy's top to start showing some roots out of the cube. I was hoping to add her to the SOG next Saturday, but if I don't see some roots soon, I don't think she'll make it:

ANOTHER PIC UPDATE

It's been seven days of 12/12 and two days of flower for the first seven SOG girls. They're now all between 7"-10" tall, or so and all seem to be happy. I upped their PPM's to a week 2 bloom schedule which included adding some Big Bud in addition to the Bud Candy.

Here's one of the PE's:

QUICK UPDATE - ROOT FORMATION IN THE TK

There's not a whole lot to update today. Everything is moving along, nicely.

I did want to update the PE root formation pics I've been taking over the last few days of that one PE.

Here's what her stem looked like just two days ago on 10/17. You can see root bumps were just forming:

DSCN11232.JPG

The next day, on 10/16, the root bumps were much more pronounced and you can just see the start of the root spikes:

DSCN11443.JPG

And, here she is today, on 10/17, proudly showing her new roots:

It does happen pretty quick in the TK! :thumb:

Love the progressive day root photos. Super cool. That cloner clearly rocks, and you are making great use of it. Things looking might nice, Mr. Krip! :high-five:

I love your plants! The bonsai mom is sweet! I love how symmetrical your power skunk is too. Nice, subbed.

Thanks, 4twenty & :welcome:!

Yeah, the Bonsai mom looked much better a few weeks ago...or...about 20 clones ago! At least she'll have a couple of months to grow back out and get re-trained. :)

Thanks, Bro! :thankyou:

I'm definately glad I got the cloner, if for nothing else, just the savings on the cost of all the rockwool cubes needed for a SOG! :)

I hope you're feeling well, my friend! :high-five:

QUICK PIC UPDATE

It's been 11 days of 12/12 and the SOG girls are all looking great. The laggers have pretty well caught up and all the plants are within a couple of inches of eachother in height, INCLUDING the one Power Skunk.

I was a little concerned about the PS, being the first time I've grown her, but she seems to be doing fine on the same nutes as the PE's, so far she's staying the same height, and they are SUPPOSED to finish at the same time. So, if the smoke is good, it should be a great strain to grow with the PE's.

Here's the seven girls in flower now:

Here's one of the PE's:

On the veg side, I moved the two PS clones from the TK to the 2L hempys and put them under the veg lights. They were both looking pretty yellow and I wanted to start them on some veg nutes and give them a chance to adjust to the hempys:

DSCN11523.JPG

They both seem a little behind the other four PE clones, which makes sense, since I started them a few days later.

Here's the one with the more developed roots. If you look at the TK pic from last night, you can already see her green color coming back:

DSCN11495.JPG

The other PS, that didn't have nearly as many roots showing, has wilted quite a bit and to the "untrained" eye, looks pretty dead, but my experience tells me that with the roots taking off, it's just a matter of a couple of days before some new growth shows up, which still may not bode well for adding her to the flower tent this weekend:

DSCN11503.JPG

The Lucy top, which got started just a day or two after the PS's isn't showing roots yet, and I had hoped to get the two PS's and the Lucy in on the next round. She does look good, though, and it looks like she may be starting some vertical growth, so, I may wait a few extra days to see if they'll catch up:

MORE TK ROOT UPDATES

A couple of days ago, I posted these pics of a clone that was taken 11 days ago, now (9 days prior to the last pic):

QUICK UPDATE - ROOT FORMATION IN THE TK

There's not a whole lot to update today. Everything is moving along, nicely.

I did want to update the PE root formation pics I've been taking over the last few days of that one PE.

It's been two days since the last pic was taken (11 days since cutting), and here's the same clone:

DSCN11662.JPG

Then, a week ago, I took another 17 clones over two days. Several of those clones are already showing root bumps:

DSCN11671.JPG

And, at least one is showing root spikes:

DSCN11682.JPG

I'm not sure the TK is rooting that much quicker than rockwool, for me, but it's definately cheaper when taking lots of clones, and you do get good visibility as to what's really happening with the roots.

My res temps are still in the high 70's, so if I could get them down 5*-7* or so, it would probably help quite a bit. Also, I have NOT been using ANY cloning gel or solution, which may also effect cloning rates and times, so I have more to play with and test as we continue to pump out clones!

Happy Harvests!

Nicely done mr krip looks like your girls are getting everything they need :Namaste:

Youre gonna have some monster one hit wonder colas.

Im jealous. Everything is looking top notch and I really need to invest in a cloner or make one myself. I love watching your girls progress the way they are.:goodjob:

Great job so far Mr. K! Glad the Turbo Klone is working out so well in its new "cooler" location! :)
