SmokzAlot - K.I.S.S. My CoCo and OC+

It appears to be a coarser grade. What do you feel the grow differences are? Pros, Cons

Not sure about the coarser grade but the CCPPP has been through a heavier Buffering process... Meaning. you can start using it right outta the bag

Its all they seem to sell where i am.

ThatBoyDean - I will look for it at my next restock. I have no complaints with this version right out of the bag. Perhaps I should revisit the bag and be 100% on what I have they do look similar. I'll get back to you on that.

Have you used both? What has your experience been in your grow style? If you don't mind sharing the details.

Thanks for all the kind words, one and all.

TokerJoker - Thanks TJ

IGrowGrass - Thanks you

keith1074 - You can do it as well. All seems difficult to you but you will see it's not rocket science. You are off to a good start, just keep learning. We will help get you there. CFL bulbs are the most economical way to get started for most. Seek out a book called "Buds For Less". If I have the name correct, it is a guide to raising cannabis on a low buck budget. I grew years ago with nothing but T12 lamps. It can work, its a question of results vs investment. Just go for it!

they only sell CCPP where i am.

I double checked, I have the standard version. I will look into the pro version next time I shop. Not that I have any complaints about the one I am using. I already got more than I expected from this coco.

Peeking into the garden today I find my 4 cuttings have rooted wonderfully. I saw progress on the latest ones as well. These first 4 will be transplanted in the next day more than likely. Coco and OC+ still the course. 9 days to root for these girls, and they were taken 1st of week of flower. The next two rooting are but a few days old and come from the same sativa mother. Rooting so far has been 100% cloning in rockwool. I presoak them in my ph'd water for 20 minutes, dip hormone powder, and insert cutting. May try some rapid rooters next go around. See if I can catch a pic of the roots before I plant the girls.

I have very little soil grow left, I am almost all coco in the grow room other than my rockwool starts. I believe there are 3 to finish then I will be running only coco and OC+ in my garden. Once the soil grows are finished I will be down to my idica and sativa girls in coco. I am getting comfortable I think with this coco. Meanwhile keeping two res, one for my OC+ run and one for my soil grow. Looking forward to K.I.S.S. in my garden as a whole. It doesnt get much easier than Water and watch.

Smokz,

have you ever put the clones straight into coco or soil to root?

I normally use the rw cubes also. I was just wondering if starting them in a light version of the same soil they will eventually be planted is better, using a clear 12 or 16oz cup.

I like the way you think. I plan on getting to that eventually. As I running in K.I.S.S. mode I chose to keep it where I know it works for now. This is my first experience with coco as a growing substrate so I am working my way in. As I mentioned I will be all coco soon if things continue to be as manageable as they have been.
