Smokerjoes 2nd Journal

Tomorrow I am starting flowering. A few of the plants are getting pretty wide and so I want to start before the growth is to much by the end of flowering. Also I just really need some meds and dont want to veg for another month. Hopefully this grow I will have enough to last through till the next harvest this way the next grow I can veg for a bit longer. I do enjoy seeing them grow and training them so hopefully it works out that way. The next pics will be tomorrow and then not until they show the sex. If I get any males of the phulbani or the mystery plant(it shows different traits then the others) Im gonna breed em and get some seeds. I also secured somewhere safe to send seeds bought overseas so I should have a good variety next grow most likely. 1 of the plants I flushed is in a container where I didnt drill holes for water drainage. I thought I hit every container with the drill but I guess not. So all of that accumulated water just choked out all of the oxygen and that plant is dead. Luckily is was one of the smaller ones that I was training differently. The only plant that is trained to exact specification of mainlining is the mystery plant. I will be sure to give you lots of pictures of it and show how thick these secondary branches got. If it produces well or close to the others I think I will start to train most of my grows this way because its fun and keeps a very low profile. Well thats it for today. Got to post the week 7 games in the pickem thread then go play madden. Take care

Hey everyone. As promised here are the last photos of these plants veg cycle.

These are a picture of the mystery plant and then 1 side of the plant where each area is topped. In order to mainline the first thing you should do is let the plant grow to node 5 or 6. After the next step this will seem a waste but I will explain in a moment. After you get to the 5th or 6th node you will want to top the plant just above the third nodes. This triggers the hormones to grow the nodes out to take over as mains. Below the newly topped third node you want to remove all lower nodes then node 3. I kept the fanleaves and just removed the nodes. You can remove the fanleaves if you like I just find it helps foster faster growth in the nodes because with main lining you will want to have it grow as fast as possible so you can top it 3 or 4 more times. If doing this method outside you can top a additional time to get a total of 36 tops but keep in mind it will take a bit longer each time you do decide to top. After the first top and the nodes are growing out and developing nodes themselves you want to train your plant to be sideways eventually completely flat. This is called a manifold. The reason for the manifold to be shaped like this is because you are making your nodes and branches even in order for each branch to receive nutrients in the same portion where no branch will take over and shade the others. To know the manifold is done and set correctly it will look like a football goal post with the crossbar and then eventually the plant will grow up towards the light again to form each post. Once each node grows 3 nodes itself you will want to top it again and again remove all leaves and nodes below this. Topping on node 3 gives the plant a wider shorter profile. If you want a taller plant then top at node 1 this time but if you prefer a bush then top on node 3 each and everytime you top. Repeat this process as many times as you like but do not continue the process after the switch to flowering. These directions will get you through the plants first month or 2 of life and longer if you just rinse and repeat the steps. In flowering you pretty much just let it go no more mainlining or topping. Light defoliation if you feel you need to but im not going to unless the leaf is over half dead. The most important part is the manifold after the manifold if you follow my directions it is going to be cake. Come harvest time you should have very little to no popcorn buds and all of your colas will be bigger. Well thats it for tonight. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Me? Well im going to be medicating finally looking forward to feeling better.

Well I read through it once and I think I need to read it a few more times to sink in, but thats just me. Great instructions and looks great and I will definitely be trying it.

Hello joegrower welcome to my 2nd journal:). If you are looking for a wealth of info my first journal has a great amount. This journal my goal is to stay under 100 pages although thats not hard set. Usually if I have some good reliable info I share. I even have a secret ingredient in my first journal. So feel free to check them both out if you like and if you have any questions feel free to post them here and I will answer it to the best of my ability. You can send it in a private message if you are shy to post it here or once you get to 50 posts(private messaging unlocks at 50 posts) I prefer if you would post it here in case others are having a issue that is similar or had the same question but were afraid to ask. See you soon. Happy Reading

Going to try and transplant before football tomorrow. Tonight turned into just being pain free and enjoying it. I feel it was a straight rip off at 40 for 1.2 grams. I have never paid so much for so little. It was pretty good but it wasnt nowhere near worth that price. We smoked 3 joints of it to get high and stay high for a few hours. If it was worth that price 1 joint would of been enough for a few hours then a 2nd towards the end of the night. Idk maybe I am picky
that is crazy Joe I don't understand u live in a horrible place once I get to the 50 post mark to pm new and u are talking I can't let a fellow struggle like that plus I like to travel so I see a friendship building here lol

Good morning weed SmokerJoe. I figured it was about time to come over and have a look see. So you are growing Phulbhani Green and Glo. I also have been growing it. Mine were germinated back in late March and still aren't finished. I had one male that was 14.5 ft tall before it showed it's balls and the other 4, 3 outside and one in the greenhouse are finally flowering. The ones outside will never make it to the finish but I'm hoping the one in the greenhouse will give me something. If I was growing it under lights once I started to flower it I would be using a diminishing light schedule to try and get it to finish a little faster. Your grow is looking really good. I haven't read the whole journal but I will. Interesting things. Happy Tokerday :passitleft:

Hey beemer. How are you man? I been meaning to come over to your journal. In fact I forget why I havent yet. So tell me what you know about this strain. Have you grown it to completion and if so how was the high?

This is my first time growing this strain. I hoping to get the one in the greenhouse to finish. It's starting to smell really nice and under the scope looks like trichromes are starting also. It's a fast grower but takes for ever to start flowering. I've had a hard time with the one in the greenhouse trying to keep her from growing into the plastic. My greenhouse is only 7' tall in the middle. She is now 6' tall and about 10' across. They seem to take to training ok and are a strong plant. I had no damage as of yet outside. My Chernobyls that I had outside got there buts kicked by wind and rain and the PGG just stood tall and enjoyed. Here's a couple of pics

Damn. What week into flowering are they in?

It started showing around the 3rd of October. Still has the way it looks at least 3 weeks to go.

Damn Bill those are magnificent! I love seeing what these things can do outdoors :thumb:

Good evening weed SmokeyMcFly. :thanks: for the kudos. Growing outside has it's rewards and seeing these grow to 14' and more is a real pleasure. :passitleft:

so it only takes 6 weeks from flower trigger to harvest?

Hell I don't know. :):laughtwo: I just grow it. I have no clue. This is just a guess on my part. They way they are filling in I should have some pretty good buds in 3 or weeks. I just chopped the bigger colas off the ones outside. Mold was starting to set in so I will see what kind of high there is. I need to give the one in greenhouse some more bat poop to help her along.
