OG what is the question or concern with the trichs? Of you are trying to base the chop off of amber trichs remember some strains and also some super healthy plants simply do not go amber until it is too late. I rarely see amber on mine unless I let them go way past harvest time. But at day 46 prob still a week or two but the pistils look done, which can be deceiving too.
Trick to get that resin off ur hands is olive oil. Use that to remove the resin then wash off the olive oil. I hate wearing gloves so I'm always sticky fingered

Welcome to my little adventure BC.
While technically this is not my 1st grow, that would be from 1973 and that one was a disaster. It also is not technically my 1st grow to competition either, that happened in the 70's and 80's. But it is the 1st grow in over 30 + years where I was able to grow and not have the fear of being busted and thrown in prison.
Not sure if you will be able to take anything from my journal but if you do, cool cool.

I was thinking more like 2 to 2 1/2 more weeks. Want to get at least 5% of them amber before I harvest.
I have no choice but to wear gloves RB, I still have not got a job yet which means I will have to take a pre-employement drug test and THC can be absorbed through the skin.
Here are a few pictures I just took. I need to get a que-tip or something to clean the lens of the scope

Thc can be absorbed through your skin? Can you get high like that or is it just trace amounts?

"SWMBO"is going to stay home today, with the weekend that gives her 3 more days to fully recuperate. As for the sun shinning, I live in Oregon my friend. The sun shines here every day of the year. Just some days you can not see it unless you are up around 12,000 feet or so.
Hope your day goes well to DW. So is it still chilly up north? We have been warming up a smidgen the last couple of morning. Man I was getting tired of having to deal with the chickens water being frozen every morning.
It was warm all last week, in the 40s. Last few days been getting colder, 20ish id imagine.
Quick note on Jorge Cervantes' Bible..
First line i read from a random page, was incorrect. Completely false info, for a bible...turned me right off.
Not to say it isnt loaded with valuable info, just take it for a grain of salt(however they say it). It was written quite awhile ago, either he didnt know what we know today or science has changed.
Frankly i think its both, the bigger part being the change. How many man made unnatural strains have we created in the last 15 years. Every generation different from the previous..

Looking stellar OG! Your girls are really healthy. I also bought the Medical Grow Bible before i found 420. I think its a great book that covers a variety of topics and has lots of good pictures. It is nice holding a real book every once in a while, lol. Ive heard that ed rosenthal also has some good books but i have never read any.

I do tend to ramble and am always willing to offer my opinion to anyone who seeks it , though growing is not my specialty, electrical is. I am much more comfortable giving electrical advice then growing since electrical s cut and dry where as growing is a specific style, and there are millions of different styles you can choose. Some may or may not be better, but you have to develop your own style of what works well for you and once you develop it, own it. Good or bad. I am still developing my personal style so I am very flexible and willing to try new things.
Uh ih rambling again, and I have a busy morning so on to the next comment.
Oh and by the way, thank you for such kind words Carloke, I am looking forward to watching your garden develop and see what kind of style you go with.
Yeah it can be absorbed, just enough to fail a drug test. I know my nephew uses a MJ based cream for his stiff elbow when it causes him pain.
Well my new light showed up late yesterday afternoon, my crop is about 2 weeks out from being chopped and dried, grow #2 is ready to jump right in and take over the show. Still no job but I am getting closer, who knows maybe Santa will get me one for Christmas. All in all I would say life is pretty darn good at the moment, I suppose I should be nervous since my throughout my life, that is when bad crap always seems to happen.All good in OG'q's world I see. Hopefully it does not get supper cold. Growing up in Montana I remember when we would get like -20 for like a week straight, not every year but when we had a bad winter. Really made life miserable. Hoping you get a mild winter. I know that the growers bible has many out dated theories and even just outright mistakes, but it also has a lot of very good information. LOL Dank I take life with a grain of salt. I know our species think we are so smart, we must be, look at all we have done. Give us 50 years and they will be looking back and saying, wow what a bunch of bone heads. So here are a few more trichome pictures I took last night before lights out, after I cleaned the sense on my camera. Still not great since I shake terrible but better then the last I believe.

Looks like cloudy trichs and maybe could pick out a couple of amber ones but most looks clear n cloudy. It is certainly hard to stay still enough for those photos no matte how sure handed you are. I have rapid photo on my cam that takes like 10 photos real fast so as I shake around in and out of focus maybe one of the ten pics hit at the right time that it was in focus.

The next day after talking about guardian I had them little nasty fucks once again. I brought them in with a strawberry plant which is where I first saw them, sprayed the strawberry plant and black diamond og plant that had them. Luckily, those 2 and some clones where all I had in that room, and nothing the next day. Everything else got sprayed with neem oil, haven't seen anything since...hopefully it stays that way

Good morning everyone, day 47 is upon me.
Temp/RH% highs and lows are close but I would like a little lower on my RH highs.
Highs were 85/45% and lows were 62/29%
Need to get my lights relaid out since I got my new Mars II 900 yesterday but I will probably just wait till grow #2 to get them all laid out the way I want them. Went a little crazy taking pictures today and really tried to keep the count down, but what can I say, I liked to darn many of them. I took a few with my phone and some with my nikon, I am pretty sure you will figure which is which. I dropped my brothers lights of yesterday, and had to get a picture of hime with 1 of his 3 new lights.
Yeah I know, a lot of pictures but I just had such a hard time narrowing them down. I took like 140 different pictures this morning so narrowing them down to 20 was a chore.

I know what you mean about just start clicking and hope for the best. I take literally 100s of pictures every day sometimes more depending on what I have going on for the day. Though I still believe I am good for another 2 weeks before I hear any chop chop going on at my house. I am hoping I can get my brother to come over and help me trim all of this. Though since there will be very little popcorn other then the Mango, I am hoping it goes pretty quickly.
I wish I could say I have seen the last of the SM here but I am pretty sure that until I take a break from growing inside and move everything outside I will not have time to thoroughly eradicate them since all it take is 1 of them to survive and its back at it again.

This is my 1st grow using LED's, back when I grew before my options were very limited it was HID or nothing. I will say that I am pleasantly pleased with the results so far. With the addition of the Mars II 900 I am hoping I can flower 4 or 5 at a time now instead of just 3.Omg! That looks amazing buddy, how do you like those LED s? You got a mars 2 900 and a reflector 96? Nice! That's going to make for a lot more light!
I sometimes wish I had some help to trim. That is one reason I quit trimming anything but fan leaves really. I pluck the fans off, anything with trichs stays on the plant, gets washed, gets dried with the buds and gets cured with the buds. No real trimming to speak of now. Its all personal use and few other family members that I give to so if they want the leaves off they can do it their Damn selfs for free bud lol

the other way to look at trimming is gaining stuff to make hash, or tincture, rso oil wax, shatter etc.... all that frosty leaf material is prime real estate if its discarded i will cry

Yup mine gets put right into the pipe or the butter with the rest of the bud. Don't let it go to waste for sure .
