Small 1st Grow Already In Progress Using LEDs To Flower & T-5s For Veg

Looking good OG, trichs are nice and clear. What's your clear/cloudy %? Do you think they may take longer than one week? Also what magnification are you using for the pics? I am looking for something to take good trich pics! All my best.

Here is what I am using, though I find for getting the best shots, I put it on video and then just pause as I watch it, that way I can cover more buds in a shorter period of time. The pictures I posted today are of the clearer of the ones. Just to show there is more time. Some areas are almost 100% milky but that is mostly on the sugar leaves. The buds themselves are still have some time.

I had to modify it to fit my phone.

Good morning , my friend Mr Mello
How is your Sunday coming along?

Fantastic, SHMBO and I just had lunch. Had a blast. How's your Sunday?

I like that trich gadget. How much did it run you?

"SWMBO" just finished putting up the xmas lights and wants to catch a matinee at the theater. Thats when you know your old when your date night happens in the middle of the day and is over by 5:00

The scope itself was like 12 bucks but the case with the scope that screws into the case was like 24.00 and I had to special order it. I really do not like it all that well. I think a good jewelers loop would be better. I am looking into a lens that screws onto my existing macro lens much like a filter but a magnifier. That may be the route I am really looking for. Then just use my Nikon to get those close ups.

I would go the Nikon route. I need one for my Canon. like $20 for a telephoto lens on E-... and you almost 4x the magnification to your camera. Mine does 48x magnification so a telephoto lens would add 4 times that to it.

I thought a macro lens would be a better choice over a telephoto. I have a 70-300 MM lens but I would have to take the picture from the front of the house in order to get it into focus.. ok so it is not that bad.. but the lens is so heavy the only way I can hold it still is to use a tripod

That's a telezoom. Telephoto is a macro adapter that screws onto your existing lens to add magnification to it. E-b.. it. It is cheaper than getting a macro. Although macros are awesome, not as budget friendly if all you want it for is the trich test.

Althouh the Nikon on it's own would give you fantastic zoom btw. :484: Never done the trich test on mine but I'm sure I can get in there nice and close.
I know I posted pictures for today already but you got me thinking about the telephoto lens. So I shot a few pictures just for you Mello, I hope you enjoy them.

I had the camera back about 8 feet or so just so I could get them to even start focusing.

OG those pics are awesome how big were file sizes?
if you need something for your phone
you can download a sweet app called cozy magnifier

Those are AWESOME! My friend OG, you got to use that lens more often. The silhouette shots you made last would turn out amazingly with that lens. I know it sucks because you have to go so far away from it. I had one and I used it to record rap videos and they would turn out stunningly at night with the lights in downtown. You have a golden lens my friend. Use it wisely. :Namasate: :passitleft:

Oh, man, that is one hell of a nifty tool :thankyou:

day 50 since flipping 12/12
Temp and RH% are going to suck this week since they are forecasting rain the next 7 days and they think that the next 4 days of rain will be more then a typical months worth of rain here. They are forecasting 12" of rain in the mountains so I suspect there will be some major flooding. Lucky me they are only forecasting 4" here but I live right near a river, not so lucky me.
Temp/RH% highs were 83/53% and lows of 66/41% those RH% need to come down, will have to start thinking of plan B for that.
Still checking for uninvited guests but for now the area appears ok. I am checking the trichomes daily and finding that on the sugar leaves I am getting good milky white coloring and even a few amber but on the buds themselves I am still just partially milky white and no amber to mention. Since I am more concerned with the buds I will be going by their trichomes as to when to harvest.
Here are a few of todays trichome pics

The Mango is slowly starting to fill up, I was worried about her performance but I am getting more pleased with her every day.

I have been reading where you can increase trichome production by right near the end of the plants life creating a ton of street on the plant, things like stabbing the base of the branches with thumbtacks and other things like that. When I get close I am thinking I will try this technique on at least one of my plants and see if I can see any difference.
Hope everyone has a great Monday and your gardens are green :green_heart:

I'm a little late but what a great job!!Can't wait to see what you yield.
Better late then never is what I like to say. Welcome to my garden.:welcome: As for yield, I did tell everyone already that I would actually check it, but this grow really was not about yield, it was more of a basic little experiment to verify to myself that A- lollipopping is worth doing and B which will produce better quality a scrog or from standing. That and getting a indoor grow under my belt.

Oh, man, that is one hell of a nifty tool :thankyou:
Isn't it though. It really lets you see exactly what I see when I walk into my tent.
Hope you are enjoying the show :Namaste:
