SIPs usually grow bigger, healthier plants because there is no pause in growth during the typical dry cycle since we don't have one.

Ye the chemical fertilisers always seem to yield more eh but I’m organic lol ditched the dirty food and won’t head back so guessing I’d need the 10 gal in organic if I didn’t want to feed any and 5gal if I have a 4-2-8 digest feed for the water

Thanks! I did well in fabric pots, but the SIPs make watering easier. I used to transport the girls to a bathtub to deal with the run off. Now I water in place. Less lugging around heavy wet pots.

Thanks! Was looking for a quick turn around crop, and these seem to be filling the need.

No more run off, you just make a mix and it all gets used the efficiency and ease is off the charts.

Thanks! I've had good luck with autos. Pretty rare that I have a bad crop of them. Last issue I had was with one that didn't autoflower and tied up my tent for 180 days.

If you're referring to me, all 4 pictured are autos, along with the 4 in my other tent too.

They're currently in Pro-Mix Premium Moisture Control. Had been using the Pro-Mix Organic Garden Mix but found I'd have some fungus gnat issues with it in a SIP. So far I haven't seen any of those suckers since the change. Been on the busier side so I haven't made my own Faux-Mix™ since last Spring. Just been buying my way out of that task.
 
So any one in 5gal and organic too ? Are you top feeding also, I’m wondering if I should buy the 10gal buckets so I don’t have to top feed ?
My soil says 1 year food organic at 5gal bag for big tomato plants etc “just plant in bag” Is that different for canna do they pull more nutes ? Cause otherwise water only would be fine for 2 grows in this soil ? And it’s a veg award winner for yield helped grow a 150kg marrow in a container

Hi Pondwater, good question! Someone will have done something like that. I'm in 10+ gallon EarthBox SIP's with True Living Organics LOS by The Rev. I got a full photo grow with water and cal/mag. fed in the rez. some folks let the rez go dry and top feed, then go back to rez watering.

I've long thought that a SIP container would give many new auto growers a chance at a good yield and none of the stunting auto growers often get.

Amazing I have wondered to try his recipie some time , I’d love to see pics still working this site out I can’t seem to click sigs on peeps names lol
Atm I’m trying to keep rez filled and top feed as there drying out more and as I have top dressed it kinda isn’t getting used so I’ve just covered with some sheet to keep humidity in and it’s working as worms as now at top with amendments

I am about to flip my monster grow that got spider mite and deficiency’s to get it out and done so I can start again

My other room I am building sips now I kinda feel like I may need to test some 5 and some 10 gal pots with my soil to find out
It’s made from sheeps wool sheep shit comfrey and bracken and boasts a full 12 month of food in it for heavy demanding crops that require k high
So unless cannabis is come special demanding crop that exceedes other crops nutrient draw I feel it will be plenty to feed em in 5gal but I’d never know unless I do a 10 too eh
Hoping for 3 week veg and flip flower and it’s a 45 day cultivar I saved , so 10 weeks growing leaves 42 weeks of nutrients apparently from the 52 weeks it boasts

And 10 weeks for veg in a SIP is going to get a bit out of hand. :eek:

Nah 10 week total might be my typing lol but I said 3 week grow and my 45 day cultivar tha 10 week total lol

The soil boasts and comp winner 12 month food so I’m thinking allowed that if they offer that and grow plants huge surely it would do 10 week cannabis I mean as they quote I’d have 42 weeks left of soil food which I doubt but even 1 run without needed food and yielding good would be amazing lol I’d buy it each round if I had to
 
This is the kinda stuff my compost does with all veg n fruit so hoping for the best lol

I did a tomato plant last year and in a 30l bag it was 12 for high 8ft wide and yielded 6 carrier bags of tomatoes how the god damn hell lol the mrs complained we had no light in the room everyone had to check the stem to see it was1 in a bag

So should be damn sexy on cannabis too ?
