They’re my first autos which makes me nervous, Not actually sure their predixted yet first greenhouse and I’m 6000 miles away. Its stealth from him. I’m thinking some of those Autopot ones. I sent him a solar powered decorative pond feature to keep the food happy while he's away for the res.

They're Orange Auto Mimosa and Auto Skywalker OG from Barneys and Dutch Passion.

Need to check dates against time now they’re all above ground!

But yeah for his use case absolute SIP is best. No electricity down there or anything. He’s a bit busy to be making his own right now and I can get those online over there.

Reminds me of @Emilya Green once said - (I think!) something like “some times I just need to disappear for a couple of week short notice and the 15G? pots allow me to do that”

But yep been a breeze to get that result.

In a solo lolz. I looked at the build pictures earlier. Made me smile. Basically free plus seed and medium. I’d like to do one in just perlite. I saw someone grow some amazing fruit/veg like that (but top watered) Need something else to get the roots down first maybe.

Hmm - many thoughts!

Cheers Azi and all the restfor all this. Much appreciated!

Nick

That's @bluter territory. He's done lots of grows in his perlite Hempy.

Hey folks. Cookies auto at 12 weeks. It's in sips and just curios if its to late to give her drought stress to increase trichromes? It's from fastbuds, still plenty of white hairs so assuming I've still 2/3 weeks until she's done. Been top dressing amendments every 2nd Fri. In the last few weeks her leaves have gotten a little darker l with the odd slight tip burn so thinking of just giving he lr water from bow until she's ready, would yous agree? Thanks advance for any feedback.. 👍

Have u tried any of the stress methods like drilling the stalk or droughting?

no. i do some training and i lollipop but that's it.

So, you can't just start with water and fish because without the microbes the fish will die. BUT, you can inoculate the water with some from an already established system, or borrow the mechanical filter/microbe housing from another established tank. I use fish tank pebbles in a little colander to hold mine in my system.
Thanks Azi. I did know this but felt my entry had already been too wordy. Thanks for making the effort, cuz now everyone else knows it too!

PS, your PM has really blown my doors off... you know, I think you've actually nailed what's happening with my swallowing issue. I've been trying to learn a bit more before writing back, but since I've been delayed I just wanted to give you some love right here man, because seriously, you might have really saved my ass... I'll PM back to you asap with some thoughts and queries, if I may. But really, thank you so much for piping up.

Well, yesterday I began my summer outdoor grow with one of the plants going into a SIP. It's a commercially available planter from Earthbox, which I believe, is very similar to the one @StoneOtter is using - just a tad bit larger.

This will be my first time using one, so I'm pretty excited to see what happens. If you're interested in following along, here's where the SIP info begins.

Thanks, Beez! And welcome to #SIP Club.

I like your cart with the big wheels which suggests you move it around a fair amount. Are you chasing the sun or putting it away for the night?

I chase the sun occasionally, but mostly it's for easily relocating the plants out of sight when family comes to visit or if contractors work in the yard. I have a post on how to build them... bottom entry in my signature.

Cool. I'll check it out!

7 days in the SIP buckets and these plants look really good. I have not yet added any water, and the nutes are timed-release Grow Dots mixed into the soil when I transplanted. Still has water in the res (I measure with a bamboo stick). I'll top off this evening or tomorrow.

So far so good!

looks great, feed lighter if you feed at all. maybe consider an occasional top water, or it's possible you could get a strata that's hot.

I thought that might happen in my SIP, but she got all but the first watering from the rez, and the Grow Dots did their job just fine- no "hot spots" or anything...

I emailed Scott Real before I started the SIP, to ask if the Dots would work in there, he said that's what he grows in , and the Dots do great- so I took his word for it, and it seems he was right...

Plan on adding a pk booster around day 65-70, because the Dots are a little weak in that dep't.

Yes thanks - I have that in my notes. I thought your SIP in Dots (haha) turned out really well so I would try similar but outdoors. Appreciate you, Azimuth, and all the others leading the way!

"Better Plants from Better Growers" is our motto. This is like one big crowd sourced growing lab. Lots of new ideas sprinkled around and the good ones get elevated and shared so others can benefit as well.

But I've also got a bunch of crap that doesn't work so well if you want to hear about that.

Highya Beez,

Love the trolley. Is that the same one you used before? A lot easier then the schlepp! Congrats on your first time SIP. A bunch of us are first timers this year (I think). Fun to watch your grows! Happy Smokin'
