I can barely get the whole tent in on one shot anymore. I need to come in from the side...today is flip day, lights will be off in a half hour.

Happy SIPPING

Great looking plants, I don't know how to get in there to water your girls.
Have a great day.
I don't get in there lol I have to move one out from each row in order to get to them all fed without making an absolute mess.
Thank you for the kind words and for making me laugh this morning

Flip it good! That's fast growing!

Hey SIP club! I just wanted to give an almost two week (actually 12 day) update since my SIP White Widow broke soil. I feel like this is the most growth for a 12 day auto I’ve ever had. I know this is probably the norm for many of the expert growers on here but this is real progress for me. So a big thank you to the SIP club for all your help and support! I was think about LST soon. Is she ready or should I wait a little longer? Thanks!

She's AMAZING!!! Yeah, I'd start the LST soon, but that's me...

You're at the 4th node now. Once the 5th node grows up a little bit it's time to Top it. LST depends on if you are bending the whole plant over (I never do), or if you Quad Line (I do every time). When I quad line I Top & remove the bottom 2 branches / nodes & just leave the 4 branches to grow out. The side branching will fill the plant out so don't worry about only having 4 branches. The less branches you have, the bigger the Colas tend to be.

You might have missed it's an auto? (Or, sounded like it to me?) Conventional Wisdom is not to top autos, as they may not have time to recover... I'm pretty sure Quadding is strictly frowned upon,,,
Just saying...

LOL, I've topped & quad lined every Auto I ever grew.
These were the last Auto's I grew a few years back.

And of course improper watering is the main cause of stunting autos which we don't have to worry about in #SIP Club. Once you get watering handled, which is automatic in our pots, you have a lot more freedom to do other things with your plants.

SIPs should make growing a lot more fun, especially for auto growers.

I'm transplanting an older, well established clone today so I'll watch carefully and see if I notice a difference but it's been a pretty consistent 2-3 week period so far for me no matter if direct seeded or transplant.

This seems consistently true, and for me it's also true for newly rooted clones. In my smaller containers at least they spend the first couple of weeks trying to stabilize from the much wetter soil than they are used to. It could be that the smaller containers have a higher "Perched Water Table" which is common in normally watered pots.

I have a well rooted, older clone I'll be potting up tonight that does have the more mature root growth than I typically used and I'm looking forward to seeing if I get a faster transition than my typical 2-3 weeks.

I think finding the best ways to start plants in these things will be quite helpful and we may find different rules for direct seeding, newly rooted clones/seedling, and well established seedlings/clones. And it may have something to do with the size of pots being used.
Today is day 19 for my recent up-pot into the 2Gallon bucket. I used a well established clone with a good root system. It handled the transition to the bucket quite well with no droop and had a nice healthy color from the start.

But, for the first 14 days it basically just sat there seemingly not doing much as it worked on getting its roots converted to what it will need going forward. The tips of the branches turned upward but there was not much growth on them at all.

After the two week adjustment period new growth and bulk has kicked in and we are off! Water usage has increased as measured with my dipstick.

So my conclusion is that, at least in my environment, there does not seem to be a way to speed up the transition period. It's basically 2 weeks for both seedlings and established clones to adjust.

So changing my perpetual from harvesting one plant per month to one every 6 weeks should work out pretty well as I'll have a 2 week transition period plus 4 weeks of veg before flipping into the flower box. That changes the flower box from three plants down to two, but the two are much bigger plants so it should work out great.

Thanks @Buds Buddy… those plants are amazing! I just topped this morning. I thought I would wait another day to take off the lower two nodes so that it’s not too much stress at once. Do you wait or top and trim nodes all at the same time? Like I said in my last post, this is the biggest two week old auto I’ve ever had so I’m confident she’ll handle it.

Was reading Buds journal and he said he was possibly switching to Maxi grow/Maxi bloom. Anyone else have any experience using these products? I'm thinking of switching myself. Been using the Geoflora and while easy enough to topdress and soak it in, I would think liquid nutes in a SIP's would be way easier to administer and control.

I do it all at the same time. If you top, it takes a few days to heal. Then if you remove the nodes you have a few more days for that to heal; slowing growth time by a few days. Do both at the same time & they heal at the same time & get back to business. They're young & in Veg still when I do this. I would not do it if they were starting to flower. You can get away with a lot more torture in Veg than in flower. You'd be surprised how much they can handle.
