Sometimes the difference is where you and the breeder start counting from, flip or the actual beginning of flower which is often 14-21 days after flip.
I understand and have said that before but...

Herbies Seeds lists their strain grow dates as "seed to harvest".

They say 63 days for the Gorilla Punch Auto, she's at 61 days and the pistils haven't even started turning yet ;)

When choosing what strain to grow I only pay mild attention to their harvest times, they are done when they are done !

Cheers

Ah, auto's. Never mind...

I don't know if anyone in the SIP club does Bokashi soil or not, but this is the used soil I'm getting ready to rejuvenate soon.
This is going to be the 3rd time this is going to go through the process. After I use it once more then it will be taken back to camp and returned to the mountain where it comes from.
For a used soil it sure seems to have a lot of life left in it, I can't wait to see how it works in a SIP this could get interesting for sure.

I don't know how many times I can reuse it. I'm almost afraid that if I reuse it too much something will get out of control, and I'm not really sure of myself with organic growing yet. I've only been at the organic stuff for just a minute over a year.

Apparently it gets better with every grow @Gee64 ,@Keffka might chime in .

Like the soil guy here says there is 12 month of feed in his soil and after that it’s even more fertile reccomended diluting it down for next 12 mo

that puzzled me ,slow decomposition and then how is it more fertile after being used lol I’m doin a comparison va coots anyhow to see that statement hehe , wk 2 sofar

Hello 420 SIP, here is my second tent with four PARADOX girls in my 5 gallon SIP buckets and the Jech sun is a @ViparSpectra KS5000. The girls are eight weeks in the veg and the sixth day in bloom and it's getting busy around here, don't you think?

Think about how Mother Nature does it. She hasn't thrown soil out to start over ever. Probably.

The idea comes more from bottle growers who need to refresh their soils because of salt and chemical buildup. If you're growing truly organic, you got none of that crap in your system.

The organic mix is usually made up of several different components, some of which (like perlite) stick around from grow to grow, but others like worm castings and organic matter like compost get used up over the course of the grow.

So, its not really about watering it down, but rather replacing the consumables that got used up and are no longer around.

It's not necessarily more fertile, but rather the microbes for a particular strain will outcompete others during the course of a grow, so next round they get a jump start. And each round they specialize more and more which makes the soil that much better for that particular strain if you reuse it.

And, even if you switch strains, canna microbes specialize in that type of plant so it will still be better to reuse than if you used soil from say your houseplants.

Then instead of taking it back to the mountain and getting new forest floor every 4 or 5 times I use it, I just keep using this?
That sounds like a winner to me, I just didn't know how many times I could use it to eat the Bokashi pre-compost.

Yep. It becomes self sustaining. The reason you bring in the mountain soil at first is to introduce microbes that have been in a hopefully undisturbed environment over long periods of time to inoculate your local soil. From there the ones that thrive in your particular environment will flourish and outcompete the others, even the ones from the mountain.

You end up with microbes best suited for your micro environment. Kind of like saving seed from your best tomato. Over time the seeds will refine to produce better tomatoes in your garden than they will in someone else's in another location.

7 days from soil to surface, I can't say that's ever happened to me before..
But it's official I've finally made it into the SIP club, she's tiny but there it is.
I'm thinking about stepping outside of my comfort zone on this run and maybe trying some fish Hydrolysate that I made, not sure yet just giving it a little thought. I've kinda grown a costume to using the Bokashi sauce from the pre-compost, but I think I truly have to learn new things. I know I'm no professional gardener and I don't try to compete with anyone but myself.
But I have to build a solid foundation before I can build the house.
Anyway here she is, look ma' I finally made it.
Let's see what happens next 💚

Tell us a bit about how you made it. I have some FAA (Fish Amino Acids) that I made by combining fish with an equal amount of brown sugar. Yours something like that?

Well I don't like to ask questions unless I'm truly stuck, most questions I ask are to myself. Then I do what I was taught as a kid and set at the table and do my homework to figure it out.
After a YouTube video session I headed to the Seafood store and picked up a couple as fresh as I could get Ocean Perch. I used the LAB I made and unsulfured blackstrap molasses then I let it sit in a covered 2 gallon bucket to do it's thing.. however my wife doesn't want her blender back for some strange reason.

Use it as a foliar spray, adding 1ml to a sprayer and giving the plant a light misting a couple times a week. I also recommend adding a bit of the LAB and a splash of cal/mag to the sprayer, but that's just me.

The closest thing I have to cal/mag is WCA but it works basically the same I guess.

I just had to mix up a brew for my girls. Went on a long vacation and came home to a yellow submarine. I fed em a semi strong ph-ed mix thru the reservoir and gave em a light foliar. It's basically only buds left so there was no way not to hit them somewhat - just focus more on the leaf clusters, the stem, and even brush back some top soil to expose the surface roots and give them a good wetting. It helps alot.
