Shottafire's Manic Organic 2kw Perpetual With Supersoil & Teas

As usual Doc is 100% correct. Perched water tables are how we used to build golf course putting greens but science has proven the gravel layer at the bottom makes things worse as far as moving water through the soil profile. If water wont move neither will air or roots. The lack of movement can be the kiss of death in container growing, also putting greens.

Hah! Listen to the pro's....they know of what they speak.

No one wants healthier "plants" than a Golf Course. Case closed! Stop putting rocks and crap at the bottom of your pots!

I love cruising through your journal Shotta. Too much good stuff. I am really liking the videos too. Nice work, I think I may have to do that as well.

I am real glad the PM didn't hit you too hard and you are in the home stretch. The healthier the plant the better it does against PM even when infected. You are a hell of a grower.

Could not have said it better myself. Really nice garden and always something useful +reps for sure. :blunt:

I am not putting anything at the bottom folks just recycled supersoil. Light addict has some stones at the bottom of his pot though and I'm curious as to what he thinks about them since his plant looks really nice last time I checked. I'm not saying I'm going to put anything other than foods there but so far so good for light addict.

For me last night was a bummer there was a lot more PM than I was able to see. This is the problem with the netting and it keeps you from really getting the plants clean. I sprayed plant doctor and it took care of a lot of the stuff that was visible and was able to get those spots good but down low was another story. I did the peroxide wash, baking soda lemon juice wash, and dunked two more times in ro water. Only took care of one plant last night it's a bummer since the girls are only at 50 days yesterday. I hope the washes take care of this issue and leaves me with smokable product. I'm the guinea pig before it goes out I sample. And I am going to get this round tested as well so should be good.

Maybe a picture or two if I can fiddle with my charger enough to get the computer some sort of charge..

Cheers everyone.

The wash is going to take care of the problem. The peroxide wash, that is. And it should come out to be very, very smooth smoke.

Its not the worst infestation of it ever but there is a fair amount below the netting. I may be done with the netting for awhile and move plants in and out every week or two. Plus when I do the kit grow I want to have mobility to give them there foliars. I am confident in the wash doc and thank you. I will post a pic or two later but I am a busy guy the next few days no help for chop this round.

Doc should I clean off as much as the mold as possible and leave some leaf on the buds or fully trim them? I am thinking of trimming em down all the way. and can I trim a big batch and then wash in a big batch at once?

Im tired already and I havent even started on the job.

I'd try to get as much leaf off as possible on the ones that have visible signs of PM. Other than that, business as usual, with the exception of the peroxide wash.

I do mine 3 parts water 1 part 3% peroxide. You might check Jorge Cervantes youtube of his peroxide wash if you're nervous.

I've washed the last two harvests with the peroxide even though I didn't have any PM. It doesn't have any negative effect on the buds other than perhaps one shade of green lighter on the cure and perhaps I'm imagining the taste is less strong....but still smooth and delicious.

You can be confident that you're safe with this process.

Post a pic please I would like to see what it looks like. Bummer on PM though and hope you got it all cleaned up.

I will try and have a pic up tomorrow morning of the mold on the remaining ones and a pic or two of the washed one. I am going to weigh each plant separately this round. I am relieved to get these ones out of the room and looking forward to my brix kit starting. I have one round in recycled supersoil in veg moving in right behind this tray. maybe a week or so gap but I may push it back and put them in bigger pots. Decisions decisions. Did I already say I was exhausted. uhgghh so tired.

thanks alex and 420 family. I am grateful for the company here.

I ll be getting my High Brix on soon to bro, I should be mixing up a batch next week as soon as the goodies get here, Im looking forward to seeing the difference between it and supersoil myself. 6 HB up one side of my room and 6 supersoil up the otherside, should be interesting:)

I cant wait to see that.

The thing I like most about SS is the just add water. Im highly interested in HB but the foliar sprays are what turn me off at this point and only because its something I dont like to do.

I thought the same way at first but if you think about it, it rains outside and nothing bad happens to your buds. So what bad will some food coming down through the leaves to the roots for the friendlies going to do? That's how I rationalized it.

I'm sorry to hear about the PM shotta. If its worked its way to all the plants and seems like its getting worse, I'd chop them now. What you will notice with PM (at least in my garden) is that once you trim the buds up the PM is a little more extensive than you thought. For me it looked like I was controlling it, and I was controlling most of it, but there are so many places for it to be on the buds and leaves.

As usual Doc is right on in his advice. I wouldn't tell you to do anything different. If you have veg plants with PM if consider culling them. Also Doc told me about a couple products that sound like the best defense for PM. I can Message you the names. Keep us updated.

I have fought PM for so long. It was really pissing me off after dealin with it for a year and a half. I feel your pain.

Yeah I am pretty upset to be honest but I just smoked some bud from the first plant I harvested two days ago. And it was good a little wet still but good smell and it burned fairly well. I took a bud from the area where the mold was present. No ill effects. Back to trimming. Thanks you guys.
I wish I could respond to everyone personally just too pressed right now. Hope this week I can slow down.

The peroxide wash has got your back bro. Toss anything really moldy.....but if it's just a few spots on a leaf or something, don't even hesitate after the wash. The stuff is dead....period.

you doin a DIY high brix garden, or did you get soil testing, etc.?

All you guys who are trying to DIY it....just get the amendment from my kit and you can still try to do everything else if you want to....but at least your soil will be right for the first 4 runs. As for me....I've seen the difference and now I follow directions....mostly.
