Shottafire's Manic Organic 2kw Perpetual With Supersoil & Teas

I just popped in to pay my respects good sir :) Congrats on your MOTM win! I hope that the milk gets rid of the PM for you.

What were the signs the strawberry tahoe was hermie? Was it tall spindly, or were you seeing something else? Also in post 375 seventh pic down what strain is the bushy plant in the bottom right hand corner there?

It does look like CG in Graytail! Perfect description. Keep it up Shotta :)

That one is supposedly a skywalker og but I am not too sure. I will wait and see with that one since it looks a lot better than the strawberry. They came from the same person so if the skywalker flops on me the guy is gonna have to reimburse me. the strawberry tahoe was not fitting for my garden, and since I am full perpetual I have a much better plant to replace it with. The plant that replaces it is in tribute to previous member here. I am hoping to do him proud and carry on his genetics while he is away.

Good day and may your girls be a shimmering and shining like the stars my man!
Thank you LA and they were shining last night so hopefully they will be tonight too. sent you a pm regarding our talks.
reps my friend, your garden is as beautiful as ever:bravo:
It will be a whole lot more beautiful once I get the internet pasters to write a novel to me.lol
looking great as always Shotta. :ciao:
Thanks stealth. I need to stop by your block for a drive by

I am very careful to not add more than necessary, although azomite is the exception you can go heavier if you like it is not a problem. I recently ran out of azomite and i can not get it in cali now. bummer.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by my sig bid. but thank you anyways buddy.

Your girls are looking better and better every grow. this one is really beautiful with all the purp in there. reps ordered

Holy s#!*, how the f¥€£ did I miss this?!?! Subbed and reading up!

Man I am still sick and now I am to the point of coughing so much my back is screwed and this morning I woke up to coughing blood, great. I have not been able to smoke or medicate I have no edibles right now and I think this morning I am gonna grind up a gram of bud and try to medicate with a tea. Im in pain and this week has kicked my ass.

I am behind on a lot of work and it starts to get stressful when I am this far behind. double time and a sleepless night or two are coming this week if I feel better.

My tray at 31 days is having issues. It is second run super soil and the plants look like they are having a issue possibly magnesium is what I am thinking and may do a little epsom salt in my next feed on one of the worse ones to see if that corrects it. There is some spider mites present as well. how can I safely get rid of these things. I am more concerned about organics and not spraying the plants with harsh crap. That same tray was also treated with green cure to kill the Powdery mildew. That stuff worked for sure it also turned most hairs orange over night. I could manage the spider mites but that PM im not taking any chances.

My search for a male to breed bubba and grape krush with is coming close. Just cloned everything in veg and threw em into flower last night to get everything sexed for certain. I know there is a few males. Just hope the cross comes out halfway decent. I will do my best to pick what I would think to be the right one. question for breeders should I try to collect pollen from every male or find my favorite one and place that with my bubba and grape krush females to open pollinate the two..

the breeding will take place miles away from here to prevent any cross contamination.

Here are a few pics of the garden

I need to do some organizing asap. I am embarrassed to even post such messy grow room pics but it will provoke me to get off my sick ass and fix it tonight. regardless of what I feel like. someone has to do it and the only person is me. lol

peace all and have a great sunday

I was watching some interview with Kyle Kushman not to long ago and he was talking about reuse of super soil. He said it didn't work well because of all of the poop in the soil ultimately turning into waste the first time around. Now he was selling his products but had a pretty valid point.

The room and ladies look great Shotta :high-five: Make sure you "brew" your tea with some butter to absorb the thc :)....I make mine with a couple g's/2tbls butter. I hope you feel well soon bro.

I have heard or seen the same thing before and understand the points he makes but it is possible to reuse. Its a matter of knowing what and how much to amend with is the hard part that is mostly guessing. This second run soil actually is producing bigger buds at the same time as last run in a new batch. It is just showing slight def's but I am not too worried I would rather be a little def than over ferted.

Im happy with the results and I am happy I have things moving along nicely right now. Just wish I wasnt sick.

I am going to look into the recycling of super soil some more and see if I can improve it.

The kits will keep me busy for the next few months though I am sure.

I just tried an H202 bath for buds and it worked properly! While I didn't have any PM on the buds, I made a solution of 2 parts RO to 1 part 3% H202 and soaked the buds for about 2 minutes.....then went about the normal washing routine.

No ill effects on trichomes or flavor....and any PM that might be on the buds at harvest is now dead. I was working on this for a while, and then found Jorge Cervantes recommending the H202 bath on his YOUTUBE channel. He just dips, rinses and dries, while I add the regular washing routine due to the use of foliars, fiberglass dust, hair lice, spider mites, cockroaches and all the other crap that sticks to resinous buds. (well, maybe not the lice....).

As far as mites go:

Take Down Spray

The canola oil won't taste very good if you spray later in harvest, but this stuff will shut the mites down pronto.

Once you go High Brix the mites won't bother you anymore. My garden has 'em....and the plants never really show any damage to speak of. When I foliar feed, I'm always trying to get the undersides of the leaves and the twice a week sprays alone irritate the bastards enough to keep them from getting too out of control.

If it becomes a matter of losing the whole crop to either PM or mites, consider this:

Hang 7 or 8 No Pest Strips in your room and seal it off so no one in the family (baby) breathes the stuff. Your mites are dead in 2 days. Hang again 5 days later and the new hatches will die.....then go high brix.

For PM, hit everything with Organocide:

ORGANOCIDETM Plant Doctor Systemic Fungicide (Formerly Exel LG) is an earth-friendly broad spectrum disease control and preventative for use on turf, fruit trees, vegetables, ornamentals and flowers.

Plant Doctor prevents and controls a myriad of plant diseases, including those that cause root rot, leaf and stem blights, leaf spots and many others! A systemic product, it has a foliar or root application that will work its way throughout the entire plant to prevent disease and attack existing disease above and below ground. Once inside the plant, Plant Doctor increases plant metabolism so plants grow faster, bloom more and have an increased yield while providing a nutritional boost of potassium and phosphorous, essential nutrients for plant growth.

I am very sorry to hear you are not feeling well. If you are coughing up blood, that sounds pretty scary. I once threw up blood, but it felt like it was from the back of my throat getting beat up, not my stomach. I have heard that the predator mites work very very also well since they reproduce 5x faster than the mites which affect the plants. PM me if you think about going this route as I don't want to promote a non-sponsor here.
