Serious 6 & More

thanks for the  guys. it's odd that the nutrients started to rot as soon as we starting talking about how mixing nutrients is not good. I've got some fish fertilizer that I've been wanting to use anyway. actually these four plants have only been fed the fish fertilizer.

the real update on the serious 6 plants will be monday.

for now here is some casey jones and bagseed from my last harvest. it tastes great and is very smooth.

my phone got an update and it was supposed to improve the camera's quality, but it looks like that didn't happen.

Similar to Relaxed Lester talking about how quickly his N-deficient leaves recovered with an application of Growology Step 2 when at the same time my plants were beginning to claw from the very same phenomenom. Karma is all around us and sometimes it benefits us, others times not so much. I like it when things like this happen, it shows how really interconnected we all are even if we fail to realize it in our day-to-day lives.

I actually fed the blackout kush for the first time last night. I also fed the serious 6 plants and transplanted snow white. the blackout kush is that color because the seeds are old or something. I've been having the same issue with all of them. the seeds look really healthy, but they're difficult to germinate and when/if they do the sprouts are kind of pale. they usually grow out of it.

When I germinate seeds I use a matchbox lined with about 320 sandpaper to shake the seeds in for a minute, it scrapes the sides of the seeds to aid in moisture penetrating the seeds shell.

After having germination issue with Jiffy peat moss pucks and soil I switched to Rapid Rooters and have had much higher germination rates. Rapid Rooters seem to provide the seed with the perfect amount of air and moisture. I soak my seeds in pH adjusted water for 30-36 hours or until i see tap roots. I cut the Rapid Rooter mat into individual squares then I soak the Rapid Rooter squares in pH adjusted water for 15 minutes before use. Then I place the seeds tap root down into the Rapid Rooter square then place them underneath a light with 18/6 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness. I do not use a humidity dome. I hand water with a syringe each day to keep the Rapid Rooter square moist. when I see roots emerge from the Rapid Rooter square I transplant to 5" pots in a mixture of peat moss, perlite, vermiculite and mycorrhizae.

thanks spimp and I doubt it. I usually go 10 weeks from first pistil sighting.

maybe I'll harvest around 9 weeks from pistil this time. do you think the smoke would be weaker or stronger? I'm still feeding every other time I water. I'll flush well for the final week or two.

Well, from everything I've read and seen, it's more about effects instead of strength. The way I understand it is this:

Once you go mostly cloudy (with mushroom tric's), you have about a 2-4 week window of optimum ripeness. During that time, the actual THC content is not gonna vary more than a few %. Maybe 1-2%. But the degradation of the trichomes causes more of the cannabinoids to be mroe pronounced thus leading to the "couch lock" vs "cerebral" thing.

I'm a couch lock guy, so more ambers the better. But on the sour d I harvested at mostly cloudy some clear few amber. Looking to mix it up and have a smoke to go on adventures.

So, long story short, If she is swollen up how you like, I dont think strength will be affected in that window.

spimp, we'll just keep an eye on the trichs a little earlier this time. thanks for the info my dude :)

thanks jassa. serious 6 smells great and oddly enough my friend came over recently and we had some what smelled like chocolate chemdawg on the menu. the smell reminded me of how the serious 6 smells right now.

I've got a couple more notes about the plants. the blackout kush looks much healthier after feeding fertilizer very lighty once, letting dry out, then watering with tap water. also snow white is bone dry. I let her dry out real good after I transplanted and soaked the soil. gonna give her some water tonight hopefully she'll grow like crazy :thumb:
