Serious 6 & More

Leaves23.JPG

My guess this was from Light being too close.
15" from plants top, Full Spectrum on few days old seedling.

thanks guys. that wrinkled leaf is "normal" for seedlings. I've seen it a lot with nirvana's genetics. it's not from the light being too close.

Check this link out. Look at BK#3. Some serious wrinkle in that one for me.
b.real I'm kinda looking at those same two lights. Hard to figure out 'bang for the buck' as I have to be careful with any $ I spend. If you find out some good reviews, let us know.

Then I apologise for my stupidity, never seen in anyones journal so disformed 1st set of leaves.
You think that's something, here's my Honey Haze in her youth. She's over 200 days (yes, 200 days) old now & hasn't finished yet.

sweet. yeah it's like 100f in there by end of 12 hour cycle so I took out a bulb LOL. that's at 240 watts of fluor now at 217 watts.

I just don't want to fry the unit cause the exhaust is against the ceiling you know? I pray the plants won't be toast that would stink, but how does an led need to be 18" away? that's crazy. hids are more powerful and can be closer? please do temp reading at the end of the cycle would be great :helpsmilie:

b it's not the heat with LED's that are the issue. It's the intensity of the light itself that will cause the tops to burn if they are toooo close. With my Top Led 3w's I can get about 16 to 18" in veg and I am comfortable as close as 10 to 12" in flower. With the Top Led 5w it is about the same maybe and inch or 2 farther away and with the ZNet4... it is about the same as the 3w Top Led. I haven't had a heat issue with any of them and I would be happy to do the temp thing for ya but I will have to get something to measure it with to get exact numbers. I set one of my monitors on top of the 3w and left it for about an hour and it went up to 88 degrees and I haven't been able to tell any difference in heat between the Top Led or the Green Sun........:circle-of-love:

thanks for the info dennise. I'm worried about the heat because my grow area is so small. I know the plants will be able to handle it, I just don't want to fry the led unit.

here's what about I'm about to smoke. the papers roll nice, but they taste terrible and go out. don't buy slow burning papers!

budstep, that's not stupidity. don't be so hard on yourself.

the more temperature readings the better. thanks for the help

yeah, it was a little thin, but .3 of this bud is enough to get me going :) in my other journals there are some pictures of fat joints. I've used raw papers before and I remember them being a bit harsh. these slow burning papers also look very thin, but they must be coated with some crap that makes them burn harsh and uneven. I think regular papers are our best bet.

here's an update. one plant is 4 weeks in bloom and the other is 3 weeks in bloom.

B, I'm about to embark on your style somewhat. I have a couple of new plants in small containers that I'm about to go 12/12 with & am not planning on transplanting. One is a feminized photo BUBBLE GUMMER, while the other is an unknown (One of my rescued Street Girls).

Also with the RAW paps use the kingsize-slims. These are the ones I received in my prize package. Don't double them up like a lot of us use to do with the short TOP paps. If you can roll worth a bit you'll have a smooth slow burning joint but if you have to double them up it's going to be hard to stay lit.

They also sent me the little rolling machine thing, which I thought I'd hate, but I love. You can roll perfect joints every time with that thing from RAW. I only use one paper. That paper is made of hemp so that is why I like it.
I've been rolling so long that those rolling machines are just an unnecessary waste of time to me but I do love the weed crusher they gifted me.
