Serious 6 & More

thanks guys (and gal) :)

the serious 6 have 2-3 more weeks to swell. if the plants are rootbound I'll use bigger containers next time, but I don't think they are. I was using 64 oz containers and the roots weren't filling them completely @ 12/12 from seed so I wanted to try 32 oz containers. they make fitting four plants in my grow area more easy.

BAR, I would keep the plants 12" away from the panel to encourage vigorous growth.

spimp, snow white is overfed. she'll get plain water when she's dry. good call :thumb:

:thankyou:B

I think it's a male. what do you guys think? I'm going to germinate a kali bubble seed in a cup of water since I've been having success that way.

The growth on your plant in the photographs appears to be a male cannabis plant.

We're in agreement on this one Judge John...

bruh he looks good strong stativa always have to kill these bk I'm convinced stress causes males cause literally all these seeds grew yellow, but only at start :(

Since there is no guarantee your male plant will also produce female flowers on it, you need to also plant a female if seed is what you are after. The plant CAN become monoecious (meaning both male and female parts on the same plant) but it is dioecious in its genetics and isn't reliably going to produce male and female parts on the same plant.

Cannabis is also referred to as a dicot and the term monoecious is referred to as a monocot in the industry. Apple trees are dicots. You need two trees to pollinate the flowers. Many plants in nature are like this. Sorry if you already know this.

that's good info. I'm not breeding so the male was planted outside. I'll visit him occasionally and take pictures. in other news my first kali bubble sprout is alive! let's hope for a female :)

B. Real, the master of the SOG...

thanks BAR. I'm good, but I don't know about a master. here's an update. I'm not sure why snow white didn't get big. I'm bummed about it. I think I'm going to harvest serious 6 #1 next week.

thanks guys. I think it's time to plant two new seeds. I might plant my last two serious 6 seeds since they're feminized. I also have blackout kush, snow white, casey jones, kali bubble, and bag seeds (which I think are white rhino).

Hey B! Many congrats on the harvest :tokin:

Do you roll up your joints with no tobacco ? Green costs a lot here :( So we usually mix it haha.

I saw in one of your posts that you were trying to make the leaves last longer, may I know why? It is said that the yellowing of the leaves is one of the indications to a mature ready-to-harvest plant, is it not?

Now on the scientific side of things I would like to ask why does the plant do this? I mean I understand it is trying to concentrate its energy on the growing the flowers (so it can get pollinated and survive bla bla..) BUT aren't the leaves the green factories of the plants? Is it because they are not capable of producing the chemicals that structure/fill the flowers?

I don't roll my joints with tobacco, but I have before. I think they're called spliffs. I want to save as many leaves as possible because I don't have many to begin with. leaves are the powerhouse of the plant. they create the most energy which is used by the plant to create flowers. it's true that anything green can undergo photosynthesis, even green stems, but the leaves are by far the most efficient. cannabis leaves will naturally yellow as they mature even without flushing. I know this because I've still been feeding every other time I water and my leaves are turning.

nice work b.real :high-five: very nice bud coming from that small space w small pots :goodjob:

I have a (commercial) friend that uses half gallon / 7 inch pots, he turns them early like you do & fits about 50 square pots, under two HID-1000's. No need for gallon pots when you turn them early, I like your style.

harvest day for serious 6 #1. do you guys think I need to use bigger containers?
