Second Grow Ever!

They are super short and stalky and some have a little browning on the leaves. I’m not gunna lie either I did burn them when I first started so that could also be part of the problem.

Yes I agree @Azimuth giving the needed info for your request, it would bog up this journal for @Lisa2265 grow... Start your own and you would reach a broader crowd for the help you need.

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well.
Well lots to report. Maybe? Set up another small veg tent for my weird GSC. Transplanted her into a soil mix of FFOF, organic compost, worm castings . I put the OF on bottom then the compost then the worm castings and she seems to be loving life. Flipped my blue dream into flower. Let’s see how that goes and my Pineapple Express has become the bane of my existence! I can not for the life of me figure out what is going on. I flushed her yesterday with about 25 glas of water. Let me start at the beginning. My ph pen won’t calibrate so I know for at least 2 weeks it was off. So that may have started the problem. Now I’m into full flower, my leaves are dying etc.. not sure what to do. Flushed her and then added some nutes, my trio from ff. Some cal/mag and last night she looked better but this morning all I see is drying leaves. So upsetting!!
I was wondering if I could take her out of pot, gently knock off some soil and put her in new soil mix in new pot. Yes I know she is in flower, but I feel like I’m just watching all my hard work go down the drain and not doing much about it. Of course as always, any and all advice is appreciated..

Hey good morning sorry about the problems... So she's already stressed from transplant and what ever is causing the leaf issue....I would wait a while before you mess with her again...as it could make things worse. Can we see picture of it today?

And for the cal-mag....I don't use it... Same thing happened to me....few people suggested I use it for an issue I had...next 2-3 days plant did worse and eventually croaked....so personally I'm not sold on it and won't use again... If needed I'll use the natural egg shells, Epson salt, and water mix...no more chemical cal-mag for me.

Hey happy, good morning. I have not transplanted her yet. That’s what I was wondering. I too also read that cal/mag is mainly for coco. Ok so no more cal mag . Yes I have plenty of egg shells with a coop of chickens out back.
Ok let me run down there and get some snaps.

Here's the link here for the all natural diy cal-mag Diy Cal-Mag

But I wouldn't say no more cal-mag just try the natural stuff first ;). And cool let's see what's going on and see if we can get a hold on this.

Ok so good photos they're clear as my mind after the first toke... But it does look like calcium deficiency....but I also potassium could also cause similar looking issues.
Are you using filtered water or tap? I was reading that most tap water has enough calcium in it to prevent calcium problems.

I’m using tap water

Good morning, Lisa.

Glad to hear of some progress and sorry to hear of other struggles.

Make sure you have enough aeration in your mix as well, like perlite, pumice, etc. The worm castings are great but can be a bit dense and not allow a lot of air into the mix. To give you an idea, the Coot's mix has a full 1/3 aeration in it (equal parts of CSPM, Compost and Aeration). So, just be careful with your watering as it is easy to over do it without enough aeration.

One advantage of an organinc grow is not needing to worry too much about pH unless your water is at either extreme. The worms will bring ample amounts of microbes, but if you're using bottled nutrients those may overwhelm the microbes and may lead to a need to pH adjust.

It does look like you are having some nutrient issues, and those can be caused by deficiencies of certain nutes, like what looks like calcium in your case, or at the other extreme too much of another nutrient that then locks out others making it look like a deficiency of something but is actually an excess of something else.

What are your bottled nutes again?

Do you check the pH of your runoff by chance? I think I read somewhere that if the soil is to acidic around the roots or not in the 6.0-7.0 range the plant will have issues up taking calcium.
That’s part of my problem my ph pen won’t calibrate so I bought some test strips until I get a new pen so I’m not sure if the readings are correct

Fox farm
Trio

Ff trio can build up salt fast in soil....which can dry out roots and cause intake issues along with root rot....which is a whole other ball park. But you did say you flushed?(<- you answered above at the same time)

Lisa imo stop adding/changing things....less is more sometimes.... If you just did a flush It is advised to let the plant dry out and wait...no nutes...nothing. the idea of a flush is to remove excess nutes in soil and "clean" roots allowing them to be able to absorb nutrients at a healthy level again....adding more moisture of any type could cause rotting/bacteria on the roots and the water cuts the oxygen levels which both will kill the lady.

This ^^^

Too many changes will have you chasing your tail. A good flush should help stabilize things and then you can see how the plant responds. You may have reset everything already, but if you try to fix say the calcium issue now, you may introduce yet another problem.

I think give it a few days and then reevaluate.

Hey peeps,
My plant seems to be making a turn around. The leaves look like they are starting to point up. Good sign.. I finally flipped the blue into flower. She looks great! And moved my GSC over to her new tent. I just popped a pineapple kush Auto. So I figured once she germinated I will move her in to the veg tent. It’s an auto so it may time out where all three plants are in flower together. That’s the plan. Two photos and 1 auto might all be in the flower tent together at some point.
I hope everyone is doing well.
