All good my friend! You also found a good solution with the perlite. I might have to try a faster-draining mix like that one day! :green_heart:

The run off is almost immediate when watered from the top. Hence the reason I do this bottom feeding. I was not getting a full saturation of the medium but now I do and the plants like it much better. I see this most days unless they are thirsty......leaves reaching for the sky. A pretty sight for a gardener.

yummy man.... looking fantastic!

Fabric bags are all good man. As PK1 pointed out, there is meant to be less of a risk of overwatering, and also rootboundedness. But one can certainly still overwater in a fabric pot, and plants can still ultimately get rootbound in one. It might just take a bit longer. One distinct advantage is that there are no drainage holes necessary, so it's much harder or impossible for pests to get at the roots from the bottom.

I'm pretty meh on the topic! If I had to buy new ones I would pick fabric. But if I had regular pots I would just stick to those.
Good info...thanks I almost bought those for my gh but opted for the plastic bags which were a little cheaper. Cheap has been the motto of this grow...lol. Cheap dirt, cheap bags, not so cheap nutes or seed...lol.

That WSU article you posted in your thread has been interesting. I like that ladies approach on growing. You read about pot drainage yet? Good stuff.

Lol I setup some cheap wireless cameras that I can observe my plants through on my phone!

I'm always watching............
I gotta admit. I'm a little jealous right now. That doesn't make me feel any better....

These are relatively cheap and easy to setup, USB-powered

Nice little tool. I'd have to have that for sure if I left for a few days.

I skipped a day and did not go out to my girls yesterday. Had them on my mind all day though. Today I go out there and feel a little overwhelmed with all the growth. The scrog is totally outta control. I just don't have the energy to keep up with it. Plus, with the heat I tire quickly and can't spend the time I'd like to spend out there.

So, I'm thinking of removing the screen on this one too. Space them out a little and let them do their thing till the end. I'd have to do it now though before the buds start to thicken. At this point I think they'd do a little better spread out. I didn't need to have a scrog grow out there. I have plenty of room to grow trees if I want to. I just wanted a scrog because my mind is still indoors..lol. I dunno...Ima think on it a minute and maybe go out there again later on when it cools off a little.

Looking full there Jim. You must be busy with all that!

With the heat you have described it could very well be a small sign of stress from it. I agree it’s nothing to worry about and especially if you remove the leaf :p

Nah, it's just a variegated leaf. Happens sometimes. I'd seen in other folks grows but this is the first for me..lol. It's just a mutation. There are many different ones.
