Schnookie's Semi-Permanent Grow Meditations

Well these two have decided its time to flower. Unfortunately they're only like 2 inches tall. I guess it's time to put them into the big tent with the big light!

And the summer harvest is done. BBCBD trimmed and washed and hung up on the left. Almost dry PGC on the right ready to be cut up into buds and dried onn the rack another day or two.

This was the biggest branch of BBCBD in the 10 gallon shared with that PGC. There was a couple of buds of rot that had to be cut out, but overall I'm ok with this. Got through the spring and summer with storms and bugs and deer and squirrels. Idk how much these'll weigh...they are definitely not as dense as the indoor grows I've done. Not the best pic, but I was stretching my arm as far as I could to try and fit in the frame. 🥺 :snowboating:

:bravo: on getting through all that to a fall harvest!
Thank you sir!

Gardening is a much an art as a science and given what I've gone through this year, it's also a therapy that I needed. Up until my birthday 2 weekends ago I was crying every day about losing my son, and what a shame it is and so on.

Seeing my friends and going to my college homecoming football game and beating our arch rivals in the last minute by one point was a much needed break.

The weather here has been insane this year too. 4 tornadoes in May and I left for the weekend with my generator running! Hurricanes 300 plus miles from the coast... glad it missed me.

On to the winter indoor grow. My youngest son is coming to visit next weekend with his girlfriend for the apple festival. Giant red neck southern state fair vibe with hundreds of vendors. Eh. I need to get everything packed up and semi invisible or just tell him what it is if he asks. He's 22 and clean as a whistle. Just started first his full time job this fall in environmental engineering. My boy!

My BBCBD X was packed up today. Biggest plant dried to a little over 3 and half oz, and with the other plant dried in the jars at 63g, I'm cool with several more months of weed. I still gotta go back and check if this is the full self cross or with Cement Shoes.

First outdoor grow since high school and i think it went pretty well for the relative lack of attention I gave them.

Ok, first an update on the two Orange Apricot Glue Autos. They're chugging along but will likely set a new record for smallest plants. They're not even 3 inches tall.

Not the prettiest thing...the LED is only a few inches a way and she either got overfed early or lack of cal-mag which has now been addressed. Hopefully some new growth will be all green.

Her sister from another mister is looking much nicer. Strange, given they are in the same soil with the same feed. Still, this one's shorter, and growing lower branches too.

Looks like light burn to me.
Idk about that...it started long before the light was close. I think they were damaged from the beginning... Anyway...

I figured given these two are gonna end up drying down to a total to be used in a joint together, I put another seed in the cup which today is in the papertowel as it sank and I'm not gonna drown it this time.

Well that seed has stalled. It cracked and I can see the root but it doesn't wanna come out. So I started two new seeds. Ghost Train Haze. I bought these before I moved to my house last spring and promptly forgot about them along with 4 other sets. They sank in tap water overnight and roots out a day and a half later in paper towel. Into soil today and I'm not putting the light on until they come up. They'll get a little little amount of light which should trigger the growth response I hope since the alternative didn't do well.

Well, good news is everybody's still growing, sorta. Orange Apricot Glue tinies are gonna be an early harvest I think...about a month in flower only.

And the new GTH littles are doing just fine. They may move to the big tent for more light in a week or two. They're actually stretching more than I'm used to at this stage.

Maybe they looked at the Orange Apricot Glues and said we can do better than that in a week!
Hah, so true! The actually haven't met yet so maybe I'll move them into the big tent when I'm trying to control their stretch later! I don't think the others are gonna go much longer. I need to get the loupe out and take a look.

So one of the Orange Apricot Glue got chopped this morning. Cloudy trichs with some amber. The other still has some clear, so I left it for now.

This is the quickest grow I've ever done! I think the auto genetics in this one started the countdown the second the seed split, even though it took a week to get above ground and barely grew for another with my poor soil.

Looks like this one was actually in flower when I transplanted (the 2nd time).

And these Ghost Train Haze puppies are moving along nicely. Gonna need an up-pot this weekend I think. I'm gonna grow these out for awhile so I'll put one in a 1G pot and the other into a small SIP that I bought on the cheap awhile back. Up out of the soil for the first time just 10 days ago! Time for a new bug sheet too! ew
