s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

I think its more of a coincidence as I have used that drug for a decade or more. It did nothing but good for me. Maybe there are other factors that aren't being considered?

It's the other factors combined with the drug, As I said the drug is the common denominator. I know many people who take it, none of which have commited these heinous acts, but the facts remain.......One look at the possible side effects...and the side effects of most everything offered by the pharmas....in the old days a kid was just high strung......now.....let's give em ritalin. We live in a drug culture, a pill for this and that...fuck......cumadin is strichnine...brother, thats rat poison!

I believe if the pill was used by most people responsibly it wouldnt be a problem. for most!!! The problem is whats inside and the addictive properties they hold. Never have had to take any kind of pills for anything really dont like them. But my wife on the other hand she needs anti-anxiety medicine I fought with her for a long time about it but I have come to understand that if it is working for that person and there is no ill effects let them be. My wife is slowly tapering off the pills and I am getting her interested in gardening hopefully. she needs a hobby like me I told her. best therapy there ever was for me, that and surfing.

Back to the green ham and eggs

This is getting me depressed :rofl:lol, im getting back to the things at hand, Growing some bomb ass green, have a nice day all.

LOL bro, depression is the most mis understood condition I know of....the first thing someone asks is;" what are you deressed about?", That is my signal to get away from that person...LOL...If I knew what the fuck I was depressed about I wouldn't be.....LOLOLOLOL...Love ya bro!

weird. The little link didn't take me to the last unread. Maybe something to do with the name change?

oh well. Glad I still know where to find ya :)

Glad to see your still coming and saying high:)
Worked well into the morning, slept until 845am and then worked it until 4pm. Todays power outage is supposed to be the final day of line upgrades, of course I will believe it when it happens. Worked on the upcoming greenhouse. Took a round of cuttings for July's meds. Came home to see the Dutch Passions "Strawberry Cough's" up and growing. Only problem I'm having is my digital is out of batteries. It's an older one that takes aa batteries (lithium) and I dont have any lol.
I will update with photos asap

I'm always around. Takes me a few days to make the rounds of all my subscriptions, and I don't always post. Sometimes I just do a drive-by and drop rep without posting.

Wanted yall to see how I get my RO, lol one drop at a time
DSCN9130.JPG

about ten gallons on a good day. so one gallon at a time from a constant drip.
DSCN9131.JPG

hopefully the budget will allow a better ro setup:) The clones that were taken the first week of Feb. were topped last week and fed some compost tea. All but two are doing great. Either the topping or the short cold snap we had is what gave them a hit? I think they will be just fine. I did take fresh OG and The Purps cuts last Sat. Night. Sorry folks no digital camera for a few more days. Hoping that in 7 more days to have some blast white roots dangling:)

Not much to talk about just covering my bases and trying to not have any issues. Dude caused me so much last year I am praying its over and done with.
ahhh that old chessnut i gotcha, what a slimy pile of used enema water that human was, glad your runnin solo better, safer, smarter no "shares"

doode that sucks fireplace ash thru a hollow cat turd!
why not use tap?? we have fantastic water in these parts, my plants always do better on tap vs dead ro water

Yeah now all I can hope for is to truly be left alone from the ungrateful person I used to think was my friend.

The tap here in the house at least runs thru a salt water softener, that and even though I could get it out of the hose outside and bypass the softener I was under the a$$umption with the ro at zero (or close to it) that the plants could handle more food. like if the taps at 200 and the ro is at o if the plants can handle a max of 1500 ppm with the ro there would be more food in it than the tap starting out at 200? Sounds like a side by side is needed:)

Man, almost forgot to mention I just started 2 GDP's Phantom Cookies (reg) 3 GDP's Grand Daddy Purple (reg) and three GDP's Bay11 also regular. I figure with the greenhouse construction started and with my target date of putting plants in there approx. 5/15th I better get some plants growing for just that.

I kept a couple of each for my genetics collection aka seed vault for the day the shtf

in coco with it needing ca and mg i find tap better, i ignore half the taps ppm, since its not much if any n-p-k its lime,ca,and mg mostly here on the mountain all good for coco and plants, i have a theory it may be cracked but water like to absorb minerals so to it seems dead ro water is hungry to suck up some minerals ,osmotic pressure will cause ro to pull minerals out of soil/coco etc its a good thing to flush with as it pulls alot so i wonder if it dosnt just pull out ca &mg sometimes, i may be way off,,but when i was using it my plants seemed to suffer calmag def, all the time, when i used tap at 160ppm and just added the recommended amount of bpn they thrive, and i dont need to add calmag but the first time in fresh coco, when i was using ro mixed up to a lower ppm reading than the tap mix it burned my plants!! but with a reading of 1500+ ppm in tap no burn!!! wtf?? go figure i dont know why it works like this but thats what i have discovered, also i dont let it sit for the chlorine thing unless i smell it strongly (meaning they just treated) then i'll let it sit an hour or 3 thats it, plants actually need chlorine i have seen it listed as an ingredient in micro's, and looked it up and yup they need a little:high-five:
a side by side sounds like a good idea

Thanks for the info, sounds plausible

Hey buddy, the grow is looking great. Some tasty, frothiful buds forming there.

The L.A.'s look healthy. They produce big thick fingers on the leaves right away as they are fast growers.

You mentioned you were interested in finding out if I had a journal. Check it out right here. Just updated today!!

Yup, that's the theory. If the plants burn at 1400, and you start at 200, you only have 1200 to play with. I went RO because my water was 400+ppm from the tap. It wasn't so much that I couldn't add more nutes, it was that I didn't know what the 400ppm was. In my case, it was too much Ca and it locked out the Mg. I fixed it, but I'm much happier with the blank slate RO offers. I know exactly what's going into my res now.

hmmm your logic seems sound. If you found a system that works, then I wouldn't change it. If you switch from tap to RO, you will be removing some Ca/Mg for sure. I think all tap water has some of both in it. It's the amounts and ratios that vary. My tap was over 400ppm! RO was a necessity for me.
