s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

yeah hiker at my last place we had well water so hard you had to chew it to get it down 400-600ppm was common it made my plants sick,i used ro then, but here were on city and they work hard to keep up the good reputation:thumb:

that water sounds great my well comes out at over 1300. Believe it or not when I'm growing outdoors I like to give them a few gallons a couple of times. There is something in it they love but they dont want it more than 2-3 ties or its burn city.

not sure whats going on with my clones in veg but something doesn't seem right with 3 out of the 15. Either the cold snap ten days ago or too much food (no signs of burning) or the fungus gnats or the neem oil extract sprayed? Not sure but I sure would feel better knowing what it is? It could be what B.I.D. was mentioning and it's a thing the RO and coco coir are doing together? Not sure of anything BUT I am sure I will figure it out and let ya'll know so maybe someone doesn't have to go thru what I am. It's frustrating when you put in so much time and love and you get more than you were asking for. Problem wise is what I mean.
I will get some pics asap, my old digital camera takes AA's and the only ones that work right are the lithium and I dont have any funds so maybe next trip tomorrow night the wife will let me take hers. I am hoping they look better tomorrow night. Did a lot yesterday night and today to try and cover my bases. We'll see

got back from another late night/early morning work venture. Lucky for me the plants look way better. I think transplanting and topping in the same day is what shocked and stunted them. As of last night and today looks like there jamming again. Day 5 on the cloner and so far no bumps but I did change the water and positioned it under the lights better so hopefully next week I'll have roots.
As soon as I can get some batteries for my digi I will post up some new pics.

Yeah, I don't think they like multi-tasking:cheesygrinsmiley:If you are like me, it is hard to wait for bumps. They'll show soon enough...cut 8 clones today myself...in Aero bucket cloner under florescent lights...good luck with the girls! :cheesygrinsmiley:

thank you sir, hope you have a nice Easter. woke up at 6am and started the roast and hid the eggs, just in time cause the lil ones were up before 7:) gotta love the children

late but subbed. bare with me and I will do some catching up:)

Happy Easter All,
I have to drive 32+ miles on dirt round trip to get to and from my grow. Seeing that Family is so imp. to me and the Mrs. I am hauling a$$ out there just to water one seedling that is still in a one litre airpot (damn girl scout) lol, this way I can eat roast and taters with the wife and kiddos and then we'll watch the season finale of the walking dead. Most imp. get a little one on one time wit the wife if ya get what I'm saying:)
She's letting me take her digi so I can get a few shots of the veg/clone room. the other flowering rooms don't come on till 10pm so they'll still be sleeping. OK have a great dinner all

im not much of a fan of easter thank goodness our youngin is happy to color eggs! today is all about the walking dead! im chopming at the bit to see it! be tearing down the old waterbed to make room for the new tent after my nap! nap time is a must for me lol
Doode! Are you turning that space into your grow room or still gonna keep the clone/propagation area where it was when I was there? You're gonna be a very busy man:cheesygrinsmiley:
:slide:

Yeah now all I can hope for is to truly be left alone from the ungrateful person I used to think was my friend.

The tap here in the house at least runs thru a salt water softener, that and even though I could get it out of the hose outside and bypass the softener I was under the a$$umption with the ro at zero (or close to it) that the plants could handle more food. like if the taps at 200 and the ro is at o if the plants can handle a max of 1500 ppm with the ro there would be more food in it than the tap starting out at 200? Sounds like a side by side is needed:)

That dosen't sound like an assumption bro, sounds like good math and logic on your part.

Thanks McLoadie,
So yeah 3 1/2 hours later I'm back from showing that one Cookies seedling (my favorite out of the four) some love because I knew it would wither before I was scheduled to return, hopefully she will show some love back. I was able to make a curtain adjustment to the homemade cheapo aero cloner and finally like 5 revisions later NO LEAKS :) lol. I still have a couple of designs changes to do before the next round and then I might feel its completed, not sure.
I have 12 OG Kush Cuts in it and 1 The Purps and 12 more OG Kush cuts in the rooter plugs. I would be super pleased if I get my next 12 out of those. Should eventually get much closer to 100% but even 90-95% would make me feel great.
The pic with 3 plants on the floor are the 3 OG's that got weird on me last week, there back to their old self and trying to catch up. This round is vegin for my Late June harvest and on this run I am not LST them for a couple of reasons: there not in the air pots like usual so it's not as easy to connect my twine but I also want to see what this phenotype likes and have not tried growing it out with out tying her down. I did top them once on March 21st and will most likely leave them be. Unless I get an improvement I am almost sure that the round after will be LST'd again. as long as my May's harvest is better than the one coming up I will continue to run with the OG Kush for a while. Def. one of my favorite smokes ever. My all time favorite was a strain out of san Francisco called "Morning Star" If I remember right it was something like Leda Uno cross Sensi Star? I dont know forsure but want to get some genetics close to it on my own as I can't find them available anywhere. The best tasting fruitiest best morning time smoke for me at least of all time.

Haven't figured out exactly what has been my problem lately but after the LA Confidentials all the seedlings have been giving me issues?? Oh yeah the LA's are BOTH male, lol not a problem though cause I most def. want to breed with the choice one. And the other goes to my Brother to breed with.

If you look close you can see my "McLoadie" inspired "Air Layered" cut I started on my OG Kush Mother plants. She was from my fav. cut that was taken in late January.

My Og Kush Clone #1 is starting to tell me shes hungry and looking for some food. "N" is a soon to be must, I wil feed her some 1/2 strength nutrients Monday night.

Here is a pic of the 13 OG Kush Clones plus one set of cuts in my DIY Aero Cloner.
Thanks a bunch McLoadie, you have inspired me in so many ways and I really appreciate all you do for us here at 420mag.com.
Happy Easter all and dont forget to get your votes in, todays the last day I think?

Only 5 revisions? LOL At least your first attempt is working. I scrapped my first tote before it ever saw a clone. I had the same problem as you. Lots of tried to make a curtain, all failed. Now it works great! As a matter of fact, I put a test clone in it last night. :)

you guys know the rubbermaid ROUGHKNECK tote 10gal has a shape that does not leak,no special mods needed i made mine after reading this in a diy thread somewhere on here and sure as shiz it worked perfect no leaks!
They are perfect for reservoirs, but if you go aero you need to make sure the lid doesn't sag from the weight/size of the pot/plant...I suggest keeping to 12-15 2" holes. I tried to go from veg to bloom in one and the lid sagged causing leaks...for clones should be NP! I like my 8 plant bucket cloner.:cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey a sullution to that would be to put PVC pipes under the lid both sides of the hole(s) to suport the lip of the net pot you use is your doing aero/DWC in it ; p

That's what I used to build mine. The tote has a great little curtain already molded into the lid. It wasn't 100% leak free for me though. After several hours, some water was leaking near the handles. Luckily, that molded curtain made an easy place to hot glue another curtain to. Worked like a charm. :)

That's a good idea! Just reinforce the lid. I would think a support running across the short dimension would be strongest.
