Thanks BID! I used to grow in soil then soiless, but I can't remember squat. I've just been using "run to waste" formulas from GH. So far it works, but I did double up the calmag does last time they were fed. I put in some epsom salts as well, but I was unsure of an equivalent source, ie cheap and easy to get, for Ca. I'll get some garden lime next trip to Homer's place.
Ya. There are lots of things to manage with multiple strains, but I think it is easier with soil/soiless. Maybe that's why you guys are able to do it easier. Culling is definitely the hard part. I hated removing the males and the hermie strain, but I had no choice. I popped 24 seeds. I'm down to 12 potential mothers. Of those, I think I've narrowed the list down to ~5-6. Eventually I'd like to whittle it down to 2 or 3. Then after I've really focused on those for awhile, I'll add more strains. I still have more than 60 seeds, so I'm good to go for awhile. I see you guys all growing these great strains though and it makes me want to try them all!
I didn't rinse my coco either. That's why I think I had some issues at first. Hopefully everything will be smoother from here out. I am mixing my coco with perlite and some vermiculite. In the old days, I used to use just perl and verm. It worked fine, but I see everyone raving about coco, so I thought I would try it out. Makes the mix look like soil.
Thanks for the tip on inculcating them. I'm so in the hydro mindset, I'm having trouble switching gears to soil. I have some Mykos I can put in there when I transplant.
