re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

Thanks guys, yeah this winters been a you know what. here is a little pic of what the flowering plants looked like yesterday which was the 1st day of week 4 day 28
DSCN9053.JPG

so yesterday was a miserable rainy/snowy day so I luckily went to check on the plants and was worried about how cold it was getting in there
DSCN9012.JPG

so only thing I could figure was to temporarily use the 14,000 btu prtable a/c all season unit in its heater mode. its the 4th heater that is now running.

after an hour of throwing stuff together I got the cabin ten degrees warmer, also put together an automated watering system for the plants in the veg. room. I also raised the plants up off the floor in the flowering tent so their closer to the light. I had to connect the lamp to a rigid connection, last time for that. That and there is not enough slack in the ducting

I love that heater/ac/fan/dehumidifier. I need to get one of them!

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

Wow!! Your manifold/pump set-up ei exactly what I was thinking for my grow when I leave for a few days...I don't want to feel tied down to my grow like I did with hydro, the Aero stuff...I still like bubble/drip though, if it is full before you leave, it has been my experience that it can handle 3 to 4 days without attention...good production for having LSTd one plant in it...over 3 OZ dried and cured...:cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey bro, does that manifold equalize the pressure to each feeder?
It doesn't appear that one does, but I know they make them, I have 2 that are adjustable...came from a non-420 Mag sponsor....:cheesygrinsmiley:

so far it seems to work ok, have only tested it last year when I bought it. the heater is pretty hefty but the thing I dont like about these type units is most of the time if oe componant goes south the whole things out of working order. I am curious to see how it's going to behave in the big flowering room im building. hoping it can run the a/c and dehumidifier at the same time? probably not.
Man its cold.. brrrrrrrr. Sometimes I wish I had that problem but not really. lol.

Hope your feeling better buddy.
I can't wait for Spring/Summer time but then I will bitch and moan about the heat. I'm never satisfied lol, something I'm working on.

It would work great on a timer if you get the 1 gallon per hour or such drippers and timed it just how ya want it. I do have a pump timer but its in the tent, another one of those all in wonders I dont like lol
Hey bro, does that manifold equalize the pressure to each feeder?
It has a little bit of adjustment but what I do is measure out the longest run and cut all of them the same even the ones a foot away. I think with them all being the same length and adjusted the same they ought to be running pretty close. Of course I had to adjust a few of them that were locked down.

What kind of footprint do ya'll think the XXXL sized hoods running 1000's are getting? Just trying to design the 10 by 20 foot flowering room and am trying to space out the 5 hoods I will have in a few days?
thanks

hey am, how's it going? a/c's actualy dehumidify the air, the slower the fan speed the more mositure they will pull from the air
just a fun fact:Namaste:

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

Thanks Ronnie, im thinking once the plants are in heavy flower later this year when its warmer i will need another separate dehumidifier. I have a 50 pint unit but cant seem to figure out why it won't work. The high pressure and low pressure lines are doing there thing, maybe its low on refrigerant? I dunno? There's no signs of oil leakage. Might have to get a new one.

I'll look into that today bro, and see what I come up with, do you have a light meter?

I wasn't ignoring your respnse bro, the site was down last night. I need 3 auto watering systems, I'd like something that's like convertable, or something that can be adapted, so If one of my freinds needs to go out of town I can loan it out. Any ideas would help!

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

Hey AZmeds all your plants and the set up are looking killer. I like the OG kush approach as it is one of my favorite strains. And the little LAcon seedlings are looking healthy. Glad to see some other LAcons growing on the forum. Have you thought about breeding at all?

I really want to get into breeding but until I get into a home that I can do what I please I'm stuck keeping it seedless, got some great genetics in the vault just waiting to get planted later in the year, might bring some pollen up to the ranch and paint some lower branches.
Have a great day ya'll

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

So after hooking up the port a/c heater I was able to get some more desirable temps in the room
DSCN9060.JPG

The LA Confidential's 100% Indica, cant wait, my only non-hybrid. I am more of a sativa kind of guy but my patients are requesting some indo, so thats what they will get
2/12 was the date I put the popped seeds into the medium
DSCN90581.JPG

A pic of the clones that will be going in later in the year
DSCN90611.JPG

These plants were clones and transplanted Late Jan. 2013
DSCN90631.JPG
They still have to wait until Tax Day until there will be room in the flowering chamber
Trying my best to keep an even canopy
DSCN90591.JPG

See ya again soon, taking the time off to spend some time with the wife and kids, will get back at it Tuesday
