Usually we recommend:
1: During flowering stage. You need to turn both veg and flower switches on. Please note , it is both switches, that means veg switch included.
2: During Veg stage, We recommend you only turn the veg switch on, but if your power is not enough, you can turn both veg and flower switches on.
Most growers like to turn on both switches from Veg to flower.

I alway have both switches on on my reflectors. Gives them a full spectrum

Thanks SmokeSara and Dirt, I appreciate the info!! Sort of what I already had reasoned out but it was good to hear it confirmed.

The girls turned 7 weeks old today. I've included pictures of all the girls and bud shots of each one in order. They are between 18 and 24 inches tall. Girl #1 seems to be a much faster maturing phenotype than the other 3. The other3 seem at least a week behind girl#1. I'm seeing a lot of growth out of 2 of them and the others 2 are starting to grow up rather than out. I fed them today. They seem happy.

I watered and fed the girls last night. They are growing well although the front right girls seems to be a significantly different phenotype than the other 3 much faster flowering and narrower, darker leaves.

I also threw in some pics of my previous harvest with my future harvest ... kinda like the pictures

Just a quick update on the blue mystic reveg.
She is growing great, I plan to include her in my next grow which in addition to the blue mystic re-veg will also include a photo-period super skunk a photo-period Wonder Woman (I hope. The germinated seedling looks a bit on the puny side right now, she might not make it) and another blue mystic from seed. Should be fun. Here is a picture of the reveg. She is looking spectacular in her 5 gallon fabric pot after a little LST to keep her out of the lights.

Looking good Paint, I'm currently growing Lemon OG Haze as well. I'm growing 3 plants, one definitely has different leaves that are fatter than the other two which has very thin leaves. And, even though they all popped and were planted at the same time, they are weeks apart in growth which has been perplexing. A few times in the begging I even wondered if one was going to survive. But they're all kicking into gear now. One of the plants has the sweetest lemony smell now, and is beyond sticky. I hear they can take up to 15 weeks to flower not 10-12, by the way 2 of mine are growing, I can see that being true. Anyway good luck.

I've been gone for a little vacation. Thanks for dropping by Nulife. Always good to hear from people growing the same strains I am. The girls are 1-3 weeks from harvest. Lemon Girl #1 will meet the hatchet next weekend. Budded way earlier than the other 3. Girls 3 and 4 (the ones in the back) will probably be the week after that and then finally Girl # 2 the most immature of the bunch. I'm guessing a good yield especially girl#1 . I'm starting my next grow. Some of my seedlings didn't last through vacation so I started some new ones. I have added a white widow auto flower to the mix. I recently purchased a Mars Hydro 300 unit for $80. I put my blue mystic reveg under it and she is growing like mad.Once my grow chamber opens up I'm going to move the white widow autoflower under it and grow it out in the room, too many hours of light for a photoperiod but should do well with an autoflower.

I have pictures .... too much trouble to label them ..... just so enjoy the Friday night pot porn blast!!!

I start my harvest tomorrow. Girl #1 gets the chop. The rest may need a little longer but not more than a week or so. All of the plants have been putting on mass. Girls 3 and 4 have some pretty severe nute problems that cropped up right at the end but it doesn't seem to have affected the bud development that much. I saw a very pretty bud on girl #3 so I took a couple of pictures. Take a look and enjoy this edition of pot porn tonight. Enjoy!!

Girl #1 met the reaper last night. The other 3 are not quite ready yet .... but maybe a week or so. I harvested 292g (10.4 oz) wet which should dry down to between 88g (3.1oz) and 58g(2.1oz). If all the girls produce as much as girl#1 (and realistically I think that the other 3 will on average produce slightly more than girl #1) then I will harvest between 234 and 350g of dry weed. With the new LED light I will get between 0.85 and 0.57 g/watt. Closing in on the impressive 1g/watt of dried weed (a goal of mine someday).

Girl #2 is cut and curing, Girl #3 is drying on the string now. Here are some pictures:

Wet Yields from girls 2 and 3 were 295g (10.5oz) and 334g(11.9oz) respectively. This should dry to approximately 2.1 and 2.4 oz based on what girl #1 has done (~80% reduction in weight during dry and curing until a stable weight was measured on 3 consecutive days). So far for the grow, I have a bit over 6 oz dry, the last girl i think will be the smallest yield but still maybe 1.5oz, I'd be thrilled with 2oz average per plant (btw that would be ~0.5g/watt of electricity)

I took a picture of the Lemon OG Haze Autoflower trichromes. Here it is:

Finally, an odd occurrence in one of my seedlings. This seedling nearly didn't make it. It germinated then seemed to wither and die. The leaves turned brittle and broke off at my touch. I figured it was a goner but I left it sit on my bench, and low and behold a small set of new leaves struggled to grow and soon it was growing just like it should only about 3 weeks behind where it should be. As it grew I noticed something odd. Where the first pair of new leaves should be there are 3 sets of leaves coming out of this point on the stem. Looks really odd. I'm going to watch this and see if it continues as the plant grows or if it is just an anomaly. Anybody see this kind of thing before? Any comments or info on this would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hey Paint looking good. Did you harvest the Lemon plant that you're showing the trichomes picture above? The trichomes look very clear to me. How long is that lemon plant in flowering? I'm in week 12, but I'm also still getting mostly clear trichomes, I have pictures of them in my journal. Just took pictures yesterday. I read through all the Lemon OG Haze reviews on Nirvana's site and a few members stated it could take up to 14-15 weeks before you see a few ambers. Ugh, this is taking forever, especially cause the smell so good.

Nunu, thanks for the compliment!. I have harvested the above plant. The picture wasn't from one of the topmost bud so was a little less mature than the buds I used to determine if they were ready. I harvested my plants at 12-14 weeks. The topmost buds showed significant number of amber trichromes. However none of the trichromes looks truly milky (you know like a drop of Elmers glue) but rather like watered down milk. Early on they look like glass globes on sticks .... so I think the slightly translucent is about as far as its going to go. But hey I'm more than willing to learn as I go .... been a great ride so far!!!

I chopped the last of my girls and I expected got the lowest yield of the bunch. I got 249g wet which should dry to ~1.74 oz. This will give by my best guess at this point ~8.5 oz of smoke.!! I'll update on this when the initial cure is done in about a week or so.

I'll post pictures later, gotta let my phone charge for a bit.

I've moved my new girls into the now vacated grow chamber 1 re-vegged blue mystic, 1 super skunk, 1 wonder woman, and 1 blue mystic from seed (all photo-period plants). I also have under my new mars-hydro 300 a white widow auto-flower. I've also got one little one that i thought was dead but came back. She is either a wonder woman or a super skunk ... just not sure which one of those survived. I'll watch her as she grows and see which strain she is. I might have to buy another $80 mars hydro 300 for this one too. At $80 and it does a great job covering one plant. Makes the system very flexible .... can be put in almost any corner where you have as little as 1.5'x1.5' area of floor space.I am also trying another re veg of the re vegged blue mystic. take care all and remember Keep it Green

Awesome Paint. Would you mind taking a look at my trichome pics I posted on the 9/28. Post number 102. I don't see any Ambers only clear with a little milkiness. I definitely feel the plant smells a bit less pungeunt than she did in week 8 or so. Let me know what you think in regards to harvest time for Plant1, please.

Congrats on your crop... can't wait to hear how it smokes.

Ugh nevermind, I think I passed my harvest window. I just looked the plant in pure white light and it totally looks like she's almost dying. NOT good. Will be harvesting tonight. Will post pics, soon. Thanks for the input, it helped me look at her in a different light. Thanks

Hey Paint, I have harvested 2 of 3 of my plants. One was a bit past the harvest window, and one I harvested in perfect time I think. Though I wouldn't say that they're dense, or not as dense as my first bag seed grow. How are you finding your buds? Dense or no? I'm wondering if it's genetics of the plant or if I messed up some how, though I have twice as strong lighting and twice as much lighting as I had with my bag seed. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nunu, glad to hear that the harvest wasn't a bust!! I would say that especially early on in the initial drying stage the buds are 'fluffier". I lost more weight on this one during dry than previous grow. This is however my first sativa dominant strain that i have grown, from readings they descibe sativa buds as being less dense. They did solid up a bit as they finally dried and I started curing the buds.

The new girls are lovin' the light. I have 7 plants growing right now ..... here is the family album:

First is a blue mystic grown from seed. ~5 weeks old. The last survivor of my initial germinated seeds, the other two had problems and i thought had died (more about this later).

The second is a super skunk at 3 weeks, a replacement for one of the original seeds that i believed had died.

Next is a 3 week old Wonder woman.

Theblue mystic reveg:

A resurrected from the dead either super skunk or wonder woman. I thought i had killed the original seedlings, but one of them managed to drag itself from the brink of death and grow.

I found this branch broken when I moved my reveg into the grow chambe so i thought i'd grow a whole new plant.

And finally, under my new mars hydro300 light is a white widow autoflower.

Thanks for the info its good to know I didn't do anything. lol I started noticing some of the buds are getting a bit more denser on the first plant I harvested. The second one just went into the jar tonight. I can't wait to smoke it. I washed about a quarter of the first plant so I can test it compared the non-washed. Now I have to wait 6 weeks for curing, though I might make it til 4 lol.
