Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

What tiny little lights you have dude! No way! I'm seeing something I want to know more about for sure.

What are the specs on those lights Rifle?

Peace, Hyena

Love the lights. Wait until you see how the plants love them. :high-five:
Get a hempy one started and do a side-by-side: Wish running without a fan was an option for me. Come to think of it, I never tried it. I have 6 blooming out in the open as it is and no one's breaking down my door. I may be in a position to run without one and have been acting out of habit.
Hmmmm..... Dare I try?
Edit: I tried, and no.....that won't work for me. :laughtwo: Lucky you Mr. McCain. :hugs:

With your open air set up and the breeze through the windows I wouldn't have thought you needed much of a fan. Especially with the breeze you get up top there. :passitleft:

HM, they are 3500K COB LEDs designed for autoflowers. Running much cooler than my HPS and easier to adjust for the individual plants. I honestly don't expect them to match the HPS but I was running it at 750w most of the time in bloom. The real test will be the next time I grow the DDA. I've got a dozen of them under my belt and am pretty dialed in. But if I manage to get a qp a plant this grow I'll call it the right move. :)

This is what their website says about them:

Autocob is a 150 Watt hps and led replacement.

Citizen clu-048-1812 cob, bjb holder, 57 watt rated heatsink.

Full spectrum veg and flower light. Perfect for indoor growing when excessive heat is an issue

Single cobs allow you to expand at your own pace. (big lights are a big expense and limit your flexibility)

Completely silent

Fully adjustable and flexible, hang them just about anywhere and in any configuration

Add and remove lighting to better suit your garden

Maximum efficiency, more light per watt.

630 ~umoles @12"

310 ~umoles with reflectors @24"

Is Sour Alien Livers the one they nicknamed Prison Weed due to the extreme odor and need for top notch air scrubbers ? I've got some of those too, but next up in about three weeks will be the Mephisto Stilton Special. :high-five:

Nickname for the sour livers strain but they crossed it with so many other great ones.

They only have great ones. :) The customer service is the best in the business too. I wish they were a 420 sponsor so I could stand on my soapbox and tell everyone.

That's some damn good testimonial. A-Train's always been a big fan too. I'd probably have some of their genetics, but I'm overwhelmed with seeds as it is and I've already dialed in my standard preferences. I can't wait to get my tiny closet back to autos again and get some DDAs going. :slide:

Lucas, the four plants in the bathroom get a fan because they're so crowded I don't want to risk dampness and the problems that follow it. The tiny closet benefits from the cross-breezes. A couple more weeks and that Carnival in there'll come down. You should see how big she is now. :laughtwo: Had to tie her up to a crossbar this morning. LOL!

Crucified her huh ?

Welcome back Rifleman. Glad to see the roost is open again.

Never really closed Laz, I've just been over in the corner sleeping off a buzz. Reckon it's time to start over, here pass this left... :passitleft:

Friday morning 0600 hrs all four are above ground. DAY 1 :yahoo:

It has taken this little bit of gardening to reset my mood. I didn't think I was missing it, as much as I was apparently. I feel great for the first time in months.
Looking forward to a Christmas harvest. :circle-of-love:

I'm pretty stoked to see these Mephisto genetics in action again. I was drooling over their selection but, alas and alack, my seed budget is zero dollars american right now. They are on my wishlist for the future tho...

Here we go again. I drew water to bubble for a couple of days, ppm 140 pH 7.2... AND

Dropped four beans into germination. Mephisto ManBearAlienPig ;)

Stay tuned for more details. :peace:

Your gonna need a big big big tent brother!
Looking forward to this grow.

Do you think your COB LED were worth what you spent I have a 1000w hps but it draws so much from ekectric that idk if I want it back up

I will never be able to recover the cost in saved electricity alone. And the jury is out on if they can beat the intensity of the 1k HPS, even running it at 75%. The benefit is a decreased heat signature to the point I can grow year round now... and hide from prying eyes. It's incredible how much less heat there is, and how much less inline fan (noise) that's used. Wish these were out when I first bought lights. :)

I am doing a sponsored Grow for GROWant the use OSRAM chips in there LED, I love the light but I always wanted a COB light tho I own 4 tents and have a LEC/CMH And 2 Mars Hydro 192 and 2 GROWant 400 w led 1000w hps , 250w hps but both hps are in storage right now and I am veg under my CMH for my autos and my new photos my clones veg under one mars 192 and my flower room is , 2 GROWant G5 HIPAR pro series and they are doing GREAT penetration is great Bc of the OSRAM led optics diodes , but a COB would be amazing I know it would be a great collection to my Lights I am currently building a couple rooms so I can get out of tents but that's down the road so maybe after that's up I'll grab some COB Led 3k Lights

Ripleys phenos can get crazy. I couldn't keep up in a 5 gallon. I was watering a gallon in the morning and evening and still went PK deficient.

3 bears pheno makes sticky grenades. Hempy pot. trained a bit. :thumb:

Thanks Gauge. Those were some fine ladies. :)

Time for an update don't you think? It's been about ten days since I filled the buckets and started running pumps, fans, etc. All four plants have their true second node of growth pushing out, are between 2 and 2.75 inches, and had a pH of 7.9 So what does that mean? Time for a water change and adjustment of the nutrient soup of course. :)

The recipe now stands at:

MBAP 1 & 2, Advanced Nutrients, micro, grow, bloom 15ml ea , Hydroguard 9ml
MBAP 3 & 4, Remo, micro, grow, velokelp, magnifical 18ml ea, Hydroguard 9ml

#1 ppm in 545 minus H20 ppm 134 equals a nutrient value of 411 ppm, pH 6.6

#2 ppm in 551 minus H20 ppm 141 equals a nutrient value of 410 ppm, pH 6.6

#3 ppm in 709 minus H20 ppm 140 equals a nutrient value of 569 ppm, pH 6.5

#4 ppm in 733 minus H20 ppm 142 equals a nutrient value of 591 ppm, pH 6.5

Nothing else is going on right now so don't get in a snit there aren't any photos, I'll get some when there is something to show. :biglaugh:
Peace Out Y'all, I gotta go change oil in the tractor. :peace:

How many gallons of water? Is that full strength AN nutes?

Nice catch Laz. That's 4 gallons/15Liters of water. 15ml AN is the recommended dose for seedlings and cuttings. I won't go much past that even during bloom. Probably 24ml max.
