Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

I now have four spaces running and looking for ways to expand. :laughtwo:
Ten ounces....damn Luke!!! Wow! And more to come..... I definately live in the wrong neighborhood. :laughtwo:

This one has the same coloration of my first DDA. She didn't change color until sometime in the last two weeks. It was wonderfully euphoric. That grow I got mild hallucinogenic with about four or five little hits.

You know, one of the things I learned this weekend watching the cannabis health summit was that the purple strains have fewer cannabinoids than strains without purple. That suggests that there's something in the terpene profile of the DDA that causes that tremendous buzz. Curious, eh? Maybe somewhere along the way someone will get some tested. Hmmmm..... I could go straight to Tommy at Sweet Seeds. I forgot about that. I'll do that. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I sat in the tent several times in the last couple of weeks thinking the buds looked darkish, but brushed it off as shadows. :biglaugh: Silly me.

Keep your eyes open for a cheap simple aquarium pump. I'll walk you through a jackleg diy dwc. You know you want to.

I haven't even had my first harvest yet!! She's lucky I haven't dabbled in all the boosters and additives. But she's getting fake boobs in a couple months so...
Technically that's a win, win. But I can't "show my cards" yet. .

Before and after photos or it didn't happen !

FYI, my last DDA grow the ones that were grown with just the mgb had the larger fruits and harvest. If I were going to continue with AN I'd run that experiment again. It seemed counter-intuitive and deserves more attention. :scratchinghead:

You have no idea how tempting you make it. I already have a cheap pump that I used for ACTs when I was growing in LOS, and extra 5-gallon buckets. Tead already has me succeeding with hempy, and man, it doesn't get much easier than this, does it? You'll eventually have me trying at least one. Hizzy B does some monsters in DWC too. The states keep limiting the number of plants you can grow - silly humans - so it becomes imperative to get the maximum yield when you're treating disease, any disease. Hell, I have four spaces running trying to produce enough for three of us. This growing for others changes the game plan.

My state has increased fuckery depending on how many plants one has. It is important for me to keep them limited. The state never put size restrictions, only quantity, so I try my best to grow beastly trees. :)

If I had to grow for others too I'd need the warehouse I keep dreaming of, especially if they consumed like I do.

This is my challenge - I took on the BIL and he consumes at my level. The daughter is a lightweight compared to him, but she's developed a fondness for a brownie a day. :laughtwo: Production is my new word. :cheesygrinsmiley:

....... Production is my new word. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Yeppers. I've found that 8 plants in a season will carry me... just barely. Twelve plants this time should leave me some room to wiggle. I'm hoping to squeeze in 16 plants next season. Two runs, 4 each, in both tents. That should fill the cupboard, leave extra for edibles, and send me on my way to being a pot hoarder.

Trying to compete with Graytail? :laughtwo: He pulled all the jars out once and it came to 63 ounces of mostly sativas. Lol! That's an inventory worth striving for.

I'm sitting on about 43oz now, not counting the Jedi Kush that are still crawling their way to harvest. It sounds like a lot, but at an oz a week it goes fast. I'd love to have an extra pound or two sitting around. I'd be tempted to try making some hash, wax, etc. :)

The wandering SSDCs are makin my trimming finger twitch this morning. You can't tell under the lights, but a deep purple is sneaking into the core of the buds and working it's way out. Not as fast and hard as the DDAs... not nearly... but fun to watch develop.
Trichs are clear and cloudy, so we'll be letting her ride, but it may time to think about flushing. It's actually a bit of an oddity in my world being fed with liquid nutes.... so I can actually flush her.

An ounce a week?? You guys are my heros! I can barely find time for a quarter lol

I'm a retired dinosaur. A man without a country, but plenty of social anxiety. Plus it keeps me from eating. :biglaugh:

I've tried to calculate how much I go through personally, and it comes out to about the same. I have a theory that when we retire we don't give a shit anymore what anyone thinks about our desire to face the world euphoric. What the hell is so wrong about feeling good and healing your body, mind and soul at the same time? :laughtwo: I used to try to cut back, thinking I might be dosing irresponsibly. :cheesygrinsmiley: As a fellow overindulger you can appreciate the futility of that mindset. I found it smarter to increase production. Lol!

There is a lot to that not caring what others think. Once I was able to retire and not worry about keeping a job to pay the bills I took full advantage of the freedom and gave away my "give a crap". The relief is hard to describe. It was so complete and so fast that it almost scared me.

I would like to cut down on the smoking though. I know my lungs suffer, and I cough too often. Maybe a switch to edibles only ? Hmmmm, I'd have to ramp up production... again.

Dunno... haven't checked actually.... lemme go check. I think I might trip over a bowl on my way.

So... sampling about 2 hours after lights on. Temps are warm, but not hot with the garden floating at about 80f at canopy level.

2 plants in the same pot. They smell way different.
One is very sweet and fruity... very nice.
The other is nasty.... fruity nasty.... sweaty fruity nasty.... dirty hippie sweaty fruity nasty. If I ran into a human that had been trimming this plant, I might avoid them.

The sweet one is smaller... maybe 20% smaller.

Dunno what it all means, but one would sure expect to see a good bit of variation in F1s, so it all seems quite normal.

Both of mine were sweet right to the end, but my drying room has a funk coming from dc2 that I can't ID. The Jedi Kush is stupid with odor. When rustled around its strong pine-sol, just moving under the fan it's pungent almost sourish with a slight chemical smell.

Classic sativa terpenes. Pinene, myrcene and Linalool. Some of my Carnival smelled more like Pine-sol and some smelled like lemon flavoring. Interesting how the same plants grown under the same conditions will express in totally different ways.

Awwwww, a sativa ? Whodda thunk it.:rofl::rofl:

They don't burn? How are they able to get so close to the light?

I wish I could say they don't burn, but I do have a heat problem if we're not in the midst of Winter. The hood is enclosed and I run the six inch inline at full throttle whenever the light is on, so I can get pretty close but the secret is out now. RM has ugly plants with burn, thanks Defect. Seriously, I get burn and ugliness, some from heat, some of it from high ppm, and some from mismanagement and laziness. I hide/ignore that when I'm trying to show off for yall. :)
