Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

Rifleman,
Gauge Steel here,
Called my nute company about the white spots on the leaves.
They took all my stats and didn't have a clue so they sent it to there "Scientist's". Got an email back about an hour later saying because it was on the top leaves only and I was using LED's it was probably light burn.
I went into my cab and lifted up those affected leaves and underneath no spots..
New growth is fine.
Who knew to follow manufacturers spec's.

Dumbass Guage

As long as it's bleached white I'd agree it's the LED. If it appears more yellow or brown investigate more. Follow? We don't follow anything around here, especially instructions.

What? Follow instructions?

Zactly !! ;)

You'll learn more from your mistakes my friend

It's so much less painful if one can get in front of the curve and learn from other's mistakes before making 'em yourself. That's why you'll never see me raise my hand and volunteer to be first for anything. Momma raised some dummies, but I weren't one of them.

Happy Hump Day cousin! Hope yours is humpin right along fine. :volcano-smiley:

Thanks Scottay. :) It was the SSDD. I can't complain though, every day is Saturday after all

Here take hold of this will ya ? :passitleft:

Let me help you out there Luke.......

:battingeyelashes:

It's always a pleasure Susan. ;) You know what they say... "You can't say you've been smoking pot all day if you don't start first thing in the morning." :passitleft:

Hahaha! Just last night, I'm coming home from walking with my friend and we're discussing cannabinoid therapies and my curiosity about the fear of THC. She turns to me at one point and asks if I had any today? This conversation was at 8 PM.

I proceeded to describe to her how my day starts with a half gram of super-potentiated Carnival BioBomb brownies and I never look back from there. The day is a symphony of different ways to consume Carnival or DDA on something like a schedule, designed to keep my mind in the stratosphere and all of me feeling good.

Come to think of it, I had the same conversation with the daughter later in the evening. She's been experimenting with extra hits with the vaporizer before going grocery shopping at Costco and discovered how delicious food is. :laughtwo: She has breathing obstruction, so she doesn't taste like other people. She was commenting that she functions more "normally" with cannabis, but she's not high enough that it's difficult to function in public.

This perception that we're all stoned-out potheads, incapable of being productive and socially acceptable is glaringly incorrect. We're just friends and neighbors using cannabis to enhance our life experience with less pain and stress.

I roll out of bed every morning, down the probiotic and omega 3 capsules and follow them up with a brownie. Game on! :slide:

Thanks, I never turn down another pass.

:passitleft:

You thoughtful man. :kisstwo: I began my day here. :laughtwo:

:volcano-smiley: mmmmmmmm....... who's standing to my left?

The girls are looking awesome Rifle. Beautiful.

Cheers.

Thanks DW. :thankyou: It looks like the Auto Jedi Kush is going to be a 100 plus day strain. I was hoping to be shut done by Memorial Day and start my Summer of motoring around but, the best laid plans of mice and men....

Does Buffy still smell like a breath mint? :) The DC girls are fruity and sweet. Very much like the DDA they came from. ;)

Boy, the Devil's Crack are beefy girls! They make the JKs look like wimps. :laughtwo:

How much longer do you figure on this run Luke? It's gonna be sad to see the rooms close up for the summer, but it gives you road time, so I guess we can be happy for you. :battingeyelashes:

Plants never seem to care about our plans at all. Lol.
They keep their own time. It will be worth it.

Buffy is as minty fresh as ever. The larfy stuff is dry enough to roll so I will sample later.

Cheers.

I guess that answered my question. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Rifleman,
Charting pH and EC has been fun and helpful. I started doing it because early on I found the PH-EC Chart1 jpg you gave me recently on the " how to grow" section of our forum. Now that As I have become more familiar with the Roost and the great people on it, I noticed ppm is the preferred method of recording. I have started charting both and have noticed that even on the rare occasion when I get perfect conditions my PPM count continues to climb untill I Rez chsnge. Is what I am seeing the plant drinking and making my solution more concentrated? If so is there a way to see the plant eat? Maybe guage the water precisely?

Five or six weeks is what I expect on the DC. As fast as they are swelling it might be sooner. Unless they are going to be genetic freaks like my Sweet Tooth where the buds wore solo cups as hats. :biglaugh:

Short Stuff Seeds claims 9-11 weeks from seed. We all know I'm cursed with the never ending dwc though. At this rate I don't see them finishing any sooner than after the first week of June. I could be wrong, I've never grown SS before so they may explode from here. :hmmmm:

I need everything to be down, dry, and jarred by close of business May 27.:rofl::rofl: Takes all the fun out of growing when nothing is on schedule and plans have to be fluid. I wonder what they'd look like if I left them in the dark for ten days? :hmmm:

As slow as it moves around here it's sometimes too fast for me. :) Answered twice. :biglaugh:

Are you adding any water to the reservoir during the week? Here's how I judge how much my girls eat vs drink. After I start a fresh reservoir I take a ppm reading while it is fresh and full. That's my base number. During the week when I add water I add it plain, no nutrients, and fill the buckets each time. I then take another ppm reading. It should go down some each time if your girls are eating. For instance; Day 1 ppm 1000, Day 2 add 1 qt ppm 950, Day 3 add 1 qt ppm 900, and so on. The readings won't be as precise as that but you get the idea?

Indeed when the ppm number is getting higher and the water is decreasing, the solution is getting more concentrated and can lead to burn. It's why I try to keep my buckets topped off every day. In deep bloom it's sometimes twice a day.

I keep detailed records on how much each plant drinks, and do weekly summaries in my notes. It helps when I get a chance to sit and read my notes to have a better idea of what's really going on. Sometimes I can't trust my memory or knowledge , but the written data is hard to ignore.

I'm not sure if you've seen this but here's another chart that I keep handy.
