Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

Day 80 and SJR, a Mephisto Sour Crack, felt the icy steel of the Fiskars. This is the first plant I've managed to get to harvest not in hydro. She suffered over feeding, under watering, over watering, insufficient light, and neglect...but she still smells like success. :) She is now hanging in the closet waiting on the drying time.

Hey Rifleman Just thought I'd pop in and say hello :)
Everything is looking great over here, hopefully your traumatised little green crack puts out some tasty smoke :)

GreenFingers

I'm sure she will GF. :) I haven't been disappointed by Mephisto yet. :smokin2:

Day 32 and the bucket twins got a water change today. 15L H2O, 15ml each of the m,g,b, and eight other additives. That is 25% of the recommended dosage of the base nutrients, and 50% of the extras. Cheap AND lazy....what a catch. Base nutrient ppm is 400, the additives bring the total to 640 ppm.

They are getting their stretch on too. SSDC grew one inch over night, now 15.5" and DDS1 added 1.5 inches, up to 12.25" now. I'll be giving them more light hours just as soon as the AL is harvested....eventually....still white pistil city ....like 84 days bloom isn't long enough. :biglaugh:

Hey Rifle, good to see you :ciao:

I'm sorry for your loss, it's not easy losing anyone and no one really ever says the right thing, or at least I don't. But know that you're in my thoughts. :hugs: :passitleft: (this icon shows me passing it back but I smoked the whole thing in your honour).

:passitleft: this ones for you pal.

***on a lighter note***

I think the shot glad experiment is fanastic. Is it straight to flower? Or are you going to upsize it? Sorry for the ignorance but I saw shotglass and got excited!

The life of that sour crack reminds me of way to many of my grows  but what's important is that we learned a lesson. (I say that laughing because we kick ourselves in the ass so hard at times and still don't understand why we make such simple mistakes.) but boy I will smoke anything with the name sour crack in it ;)
:high-five:

:bong:

Good to see you big guy!

And she looks so cute for a middle age lady! Has she emptied that water bottle yet?

Good to see you big guy!

Thanks for stopping by folks. Sorry I haven't been around, it's my busy season. Not to mention the sky has been falling. :cheesygrinsmiley: Let's just say it's been one of those days for about fourteen straight now. The shotglass barely drinks anything and I'm not sure the wick works that well. Occasionally I turn the res over and let it pour into the shotglass just to make she she has a drink. No way she will ever drain it. I'd love to see pistils on her but at the rate it's going I'll toss her first I'm afraid. Silly idea to flower one in a shotglass anyways. :loopy: The bucket twins are kicking along. DDS1 is showing darkness in the buds and is 23.25", and the SSDC is 21.5" and appears to look identical to other sour cracks I've grown....phenotype #1 sour crackish, so far. :) AL you ask? Still has white pistils, but some amber on trim leaves but none on a bud yet. Sample smoke proved acceptable. Doing the blue waffle between chopping or waiting another week. I'll figure it out soon, right now it's time for a late night Krystal run. :biglaugh:

I can't believe that it's been ten days since I posted here. Sorry folks. I could tell you all the things that have bitten me in the ass lately, but that would be making excuses. I don't accept that from my employees, spouse, nor descendents, and won't give them to you either. I've needed more two wheel therapy lately and 420 updates haven't been much of a priority. I'm going to try to make it up to you a little bit tonight.

I'll start with the shotglass girl.......nothing has changed. :biglaugh: 17w of light just doesn't give it enough to grow I don't think. She IS on day 51 however.

The bucket twins, a dark devil and a devil's crack are loving me tonight. They are on day 52 and have been on a 10.5/13.5 light schedule. Finally today I was able to move them under the hps instead of off to the side, and changed the lights to 14/10. The DDS1 is 25.5 inches, and the SSDC is only 23.5 but height isn't everything. I'm hoping to see a jump in bud production with the increased light and a water change tomorrow.

Does anyone remember AL, the sativa that I started 204 days ago? She is no more ! :) The photo below is all that's left of her. I'll try to get root photos before I dispose of everything. I started harvesting her back on June 9th, at 198 days. I hung 979 grams wet that day. June 13th I chopped another 735g wet. Finally today the chopping ended with another 1066 wet grams. That's a total of 2780 grams wet bud. She received only water since April 19th, but almost all of her trim was burnt, brown, and crispy. I didn't even attempt to save any of it. Chopped away over the garbage pail. The buds I cut on day 198 were jarred today, 184g, or roughly 6.6 ounces. I had to stagger the harvest due to a lack of drying room. It looks like I'll clear a little over a pound dry by next Monday. Not bad but I could have run two grows of four plants each in the same time period and had twice the yield with my auto plants.

I'm wishing peace, love, good thoughts and understanding for each of you. Hug your loved ones tonight and please wear your sun screen.

Peace Out Y'all :peace:

Interesting and different light cycle. Is this normal in your garden? What'r your thoughts behind it?

Not normal at all. I was blooming the sativa and had no where else for the autos. The CEO forced the small tent into storage until the Fall growing season. :thedoubletake:

OH!!! and go vote in the MOTM contest!

I will. 11:58pm on the thirtieth.

Here is proof that everything has to be correct to grow monsters. The only difference in the bucket twins(day 60) and the two I harvested back in April is the lights. Sixteen hours a day then vs ten and a half for the first 52 days of this grow. 9.1 ounces in April vs maybe 1.75 from these two. The shotglass girl is probably going on the compost heap the next time I dust the table it's on. Day 59 and it has just now shown the first two pistils. The stem is thin and unable to hold itself up, so I'm sure I can call this a failure...17w of led is inadequate. :biglaugh:

So what is everyone else up to? Cast your ballots yet? Disasters? Triumphs? I'd fill you in on my farm projects, medical miseries, and motorcycle exploits but you'd probably unsub if I did. Let's just say that this old man will be so happy to be able to sit in The Roost relaxing while tending garden all Winter. Retirement isn't supposed to be this much work. :phew:
