Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

Hey Rifleman, saw the cloner and if you don't already do it, I cut the bottoms off the net pot; it makes it easier to remove the clone without damaging the roots.

Have a great day!

That's a good idea. I was going to stick the cutting directly into a rapid rooter, I have hundreds, and put that into the baskets. Figured it'd be easier to place in my clay pellets that way rather than with raw roots dangling when the time comes. My baskets are tapered to about 1.5 at the bottom so I can probably cut it off and the RR still not slip down off of the stem. Thanks.

The scrog is looking nice RM :thumb:

Thanks OG. Check your inbox when you get a spare minute please. :)

Thanks man, If Roscoe is a pet, I'm good with that. If he's a fat guy showing plumbers crack crop dusting I don't think even a chair will help
Your scrog is 36x40? Yep she's beautiful!!! And speaking of stoner moments, the other day I had mixed flowering nutes for watering our revolver that is only 21 days old, was about to give it to rtk to water her when I realized. We've actually spent time trying to "stoner proof" our processes.

Congrats on the nomination and good luck on MOTM RM! :goodjob:

Thanks :thanks: Yeah Roscoe is a pet bless his heart. A short bus kinda mutt, but he's loyal. :) I've been there done that with nutrients myself. Three bottles, all three different ratios at different times, and me getting visually challenged by the tiny print...Sure recipe for a mistake. Amazingly it didn't seem to effect the harvest too much. The screen is 2x2 inch squares, all single string runs. While it's been fun, and so far a success, I think I prefer the buckets and a more manageable size. Ask me again after harvest though.

I use White Shark now, but used Root Magic in these photos.

The layer of grow rocks helps keep pests out.

Dip, shake off excess, and straight into any growing medium. Although I may be wrong, if going into hydro I have had problems with rooting plugs. (contaminants from plugs I think :thedoubletake:) I prefer rock wool if going into hydro if from seeds, root plugs into soil if from seed, and like I said straight into your growing medium if clones. Don't overdo the mycorrhizae (White Shark or Mykkos), a little goes a long way. My clones will be transplanted in a day or so.. I'll try to post pictures because I think two will be going into my Aero unit, the rest in soil although I am going to need to get 8 in soil for transplant outdoors in two months. Wishing you great success!

Hey mate. thought id check out the guys journals in motm contest. Looking good mate. I havent read everything yet but i will get caught up.

On the aeroclones, for sure remove the bottoms of the net pots as it makes transplanting alot easier and should u choose you can also clone more than 1 cutting per rubber disc that way. The aeroclones will bed into anything.

I'm a one man shop here, not like you guys tag teaming the garden into submission, and doing a smashing job at it too. :)

I see it more as it takes two of us to work towards approaching the beauties you grow.

Congrats on the tight race for MotM, a real nailbiter!

It's all been luck. :) Im feeling kind of poorly about my sdd, her being so petite of bud. Next grow I'll have to get back to being serious about it, the competition it getting too tough to be a lazy grower anymore. :)

Trying to get caught up on the reading. I know I'm late but it's perpetual so I hope I'm good. RoorRip

Never too late Noob. Unless the CEO is in bed, then we have to take the party out to the barn. Can't keep her awake, she's the one that pays the bills. :biglaugh:

I need to convene the board of directors and appoint a new CEO; mine doesn't pay bills or help in the garden! In fact the single auto I have going now was nearly vetoed...

.......You fall in love with some plants and the relationship can last decades...

Unfortunately my addiction to roaming the back roads on two wheels prohibits me from growing year round. To keep something going for decades I'm going to have to clone, reverse, self, and reap seeds. Which I'll do, and hoard them of course. If the industry ever does come to my town, I'll be that one step ahead of some others. :)

The poultry revolution was put down today ! There is no doubt who rules The Roost. It was nothing short of feathers, beaks, and eyeballs flying through the air. The good news is there will be some tasty fried protein on the supper table tomorrow afternoon. Holiday meals here tend to lean on the Southern side; fried yard bird, green beans, mac & cheese, woooooooowheeeeeeeee. It's going to be a fat man's dream. :) Since I'll be spending more than my fair share of time hosting, hugging, and hibernating for Easter, I thought I'd drop a photo of each girl tonight to hold you over until sometime next week.

Up first the sour crack baby. Noticed the first pistils today. The giant AL. Starting to put out the citrus smell big time. And another sour crack, and my dark devil. It won't be too much longer and the crack will be chopped. She's yellowing fast, but still packing it on. The devil rides until she decides to die, I want those seeds. :)

Happy Easter to my Christian friends, peace and love to all. :circle-of-love:

Fine looking ladies!!! :party::adore:

I am thoroughly enjoying this journal!:nicethread:

Happy Easter bud. Has Cultivator seen your res temps? He didn't like my 22 lol ;)

Got my DDA in bits now...back to trimming. .

LOL, I haven't even checked them lately. You did get my curiosity up though so I just took a look. Upstairs the 27 gal tote with 750w of hps is 74.8F/23.7C and downstairs on the tile floor and 1200w led my buckets are 70.1F/21.2C. Probably a little excessive by conventional wisdom, but it's working for me....so far. :wood: Short of any cooling technology being used, this is as good as its going to get. The hvac hasn't been on in a week and it isn't going to cool off again until Nov. :)
