Renegade's Hydro Flux - Featuring TwiLight Group's 432 Watt Spider COB LED

Sadly to hear about this, Renegade. don't be so upset, we believe it gonna be alright! :Namaste:

Sad, sad day for me....

Based on the AG's journal trichomes should have appeared by now. It may be strain specific but who knows.

However more importantly. The worse thing that could happen has happened.

In an attempt to pull the left main head down and away from the light I heard a very distinct and loud snap/pop. Yep, of all the branches to break....right down the middle of the "Y".

Used wire to pull her back into place by wrapping around the base as best I can and leaving her be. Let her decide what next.

We know what the worst case scenario is so the best scenario would be she heals just fine and creates 2 separate plants.

It was fun while it lasted....

I'll check in by the end of the week with good news or a wrap up of this journal.

Do's and Don'ts and lessons learned....

Thank you one and all for checking in and your words of encouragement. However...LOL.

She still continues to amaze us. I wasn't really worried about it thought just pissed at my stupidity. My biggest mistake was exactly what LA said. I played with the arms too much. Let them go and then tried to pull them back down. The stalk got to big for the continued abuse and was bound to give eventually.

It's a plant and a weed. The way we trim, clip and bend it's a wonder it grows at all but grow it does.

So I must tell you...she lives on...

Quickest of updates since I missed yesterday's...

She appears to be drinking at least a gallon every other day so I've adjusted my feeding schedule to adding a mid week put back. Wednesday's will be a gallon and mid res change out (Saturday) will be 1-2 gallons. Res change out still every other week. We are in GH's week 8 feeding schedule. Plus CaliMagic, HydroGuard and Snow Storm was used for the first time this week. Will spray her every Sunday morning just after lights out with the SS.

I'm sure this is due to the pistils production and yes we finally can see the trichomes starting to show. Day 12 was that mark. Have to use the magnifying glass but they can clearly be seen. The weekend should have better pics and we will probably start to use the scope again.

I've clipped most of the fans off the taller branches and will continue down this path till day 21. Might start hitting some of the lower ones to open up the middle some.

Readings are within range even though outside temps are finally beginning to feel like fall in the low country. Cabinet temps are 72-82 with RH 40-57. Keeping PH to within 5.8 with 5.6-5.9 being the norm.

As the pistil build up continues, the once main arms still remain my fav's. Those 7 side shoots off the mains are now catching up so we will begin hitting their fans regularly as well.

Overall, she may be a failed flux but still promises to be a nice little producer.

You be the judge...

Didn't skip a beat....

Also its just hit me that if I ever get a split like that again myself (if in veg), I'd try cutting another plant up If I had one handy and have a go at grafting.
The idea and show of skill to get a single mom going with say 5 or 6 different strains on her is very appealing! :)

LMAO...

I was already there. Played with grafting technics waaayyyy back in the day. Pretty dam simple too...if it takes hold.

As big a split that was I could have put 2 clippings in there...LOL.

Let's just add that one to our list of things to try.

I really like the idea and it's something that I have experience in.

Hope everyone had a great weekend....

Gearing up for the upcoming work week but wanted to play with the microscope and try and grab some pics. Hands are not as steady like they use to be so I apologize for the blurry pics....

Long day guys and gurls....

29 Oct 14, Wednesday, Day 103, Week 15 Day 5, Day 25 of 12/12, Day 19 of Pistils, 2nd week of Snow Storm spray

Added one gallon of put back nutrients.

Frost is building steadily and bud sites continue to build. The frost is beautiful...LOL.

Stretch has seemed to slow which is a great thing. Highest point is 7" from light. Still just a little curling in those leafs but doesn't seem to hurt otherwise. The rest of the tops look fine.

She will certainly need a defol this weekend so it will be done. Not heavy just removing those that are shading.

I'm thinking I will defol once a week if needed...like on Sunday. That should help my stretch issues.
