Renegade's Hydro Flux - Featuring TwiLight Group's 432 Watt Spider COB LED

Finally finished reading....well the first page was the important part and the rest was just people chimming in.

An absolute must and will add his link to my sig.

Glad to know that has been my mind set all along but was slightly concerned with the loss of pistol and trich development. Now that I know it won't affect them at all I will defol more freely.

Tonight I'm going to defol the tall arms/heads and then hit the lower ones once they reach the same height. And remove any inward turning branches.

Keeping with my plans to defol at the 21-25 day mark all lower growth that hasn't developed much.

Thanks for the share guys.

LA how does his method fit into your Flux?

OH Dear lord! how exciting I am! that is amazing to see the small seeds to be so big plants now! thanks for your sharing!!!:circle-of-love:

Renegade69. I will connect the pictures from the beginning to the end as a good memory. HAHA :cheertwo:

So a few pics of our gurl after her res change out this morning.

She has lost her Flux'ish figure so we'll just treat her like any other failure...LOL. Flux failure that is. She is growing into a beast other than that and promises to produce some nice colas.

She continues to stretch and I'll do nothing till she shows signs of burn. 8 to 10" from the light right now.

Next hard defol at or around 21-25 day mark and we're only at day 8 of pistols so we've got some more to go. I will clip the usual big fan as needed.

And now our gurl...

Will introduce "Snow Storm" at lights out in the morning. Schedule for that will be to spray her once a week at lights out. Sunday morning sounds good to me....

J-Sun...good to see your still around.

Unfortunately Huston we have a problem....

I was thinking heat stress. But the temp ranges 75-86 so go figure.

The left main is within 8" to the lights and I've noticed a very distinct curling upwards of the leafs. It's slight but noticeable. I'll monitor to see if it get's any worse.

I've been keeping the RH around 45-50 so hope that helps.

I did the old fashion test by placing my hand at the light and did not feel any discomfort associated to high temps. But the curling is obvious.

Input???

Pics....

If the damage from either heat stress or light damage from proximity are not severe they can appear similar. The plants in the last photographs are also showing signs of light damage evident by the loss of green color in the leaves.

Any chance you can pull the arms a little further outward and down? My Flux doesn't use the waffle tie downs, I have each arm pulled separately by a piece of wire. Might be worth a shot

Peyton,

That's what I'm going to do tonight. I still have my tie down wires attached so I may be able to gently crush an internode and gently pull the arm down and away.

The stalk is very thick so I have to go easy but should be able to do it.

Sad, sad day for me....

Based on the AG's journal trichomes should have appeared by now. It may be strain specific but who knows.

However more importantly. The worse thing that could happen has happened.

In an attempt to pull the left main head down and away from the light I heard a very distinct and loud snap/pop. Yep, of all the branches to break....right down the middle of the "Y".

Used wire to pull her back into place by wrapping around the base as best I can and leaving her be. Let her decide what next.

We know what the worst case scenario is so the best scenario would be she heals just fine and creates 2 separate plants.

It was fun while it lasted....

I'll check in by the end of the week with good news or a wrap up of this journal.

Do's and Don'ts and lessons learned....
